I kinda wish there wasn't the "love both games equally" option. As someone who voted that option and then saw the current polling, I have to wonder what the results would be if everyone had to choose one.

@Grumblevolcano I'm really intrigued to see where Nintendo takes the franchise next. They said they're working on the next game already. A lot of people would assume that they have to stick with open world exploration after BOTW and TOTK and that going back to linear would feel like some sort of downgrade. Knowing Nintendo, they're gonna come up with something completely outside the box that none of us could predict.

@boxyguy yes, that's what I've been absolutely hoping for - some open world Splatoon! Would be so much fun. The hub world for the story mode in S3 kindaaaa opened up that way (it feels bigger and more explorative than the S2 campaign did), so hopefully that was a sign they were moving in that direction for this DLC campaign.

@Silly_G they definitely did this for the PR, lol. Maybe they didn't plan it all from the start (how could they have known this woman would have a bunch of grandkids to give the Switches to?), but I bet when they found out the situation, someone realized this would be an easy free advertisement opportunity for a retail giant smack dab during holiday shopping.

But why'd they only reapply for "Entei" and not the other dogs and legendaries from gen 2? 🤔

@Mountain_Man I mean, honestly though... How hard is it to give us a basic UI improvement like folders after three and a half years? The 3DS had fully-fledged custom layout controls from day one, if I'm not mistaken.

@Hordak probably because pre-orders sold out. They were available on Amazon last month. I pre-ordered as soon as I saw them. But hey, there are alternatives you can try out now for less money with your existing Joycons.

I personally have the GripCase from Skull & Co and really like it, but it was also the first of it's kind (I backed it on Kickstarter), so I haven't tried any others yet except a generic cheap TPU grip case from Amazon that is not bad but certainly not as good. There's some other apparently great ones like the Satisfye grip and the Lammcou Charging Grip that both have really really good reviews on Amazon (real ones, not fake/paid, as far as I can tell).

@sp_initiate-001 That's what I'm saying! Castlevania is such a classic and lengthy series, I wonder how it's gone this long without any rep in SSB. Any of the Belmonts could easily have a unique melee moveset to bring to the roster.

It's not a big deal. I paid about $50 for the game last year and don't regret that. I'm glad the game will be available at an insanely affordable price to many people who may otherwise never have gotten to play them. For collectors, physical copies will always hold value which digital downloads, for obvious reasons, never can.

I think it'd be a better experience playing with a charger cable running from the 3DS into a battery held in one's pants pocket.

Just in case the New 3DS XL isn't massive enough for you already...

I'd wager it'll end up being DLC later on down the road. As everyone knows, they were already severely pressed for time to complete the game as it was, so surely, a lot of things had to be scrapped for the release.
