@Bunkerneath Maybe it works different for the uk site. For us in Australia the nintendo rewards are just part of the store. I add them to the shopping cart and pay with my points.
@Matl Yep. That's the rub. You can get up to three things per order so if you save your platinum points up it is almost worth it. Personally I like my little zelda shield phone ring stick on thing, and my daughter likes her Animal crossing calenders.
@Kriven Agreed. I just think that it is inherently impossible to save everything or to save everything to a format that will readable in 50 years. I imagine a lot of early punch card data is lost forever. Who knows what data storage will look like decades from now.
I am a f*cking slob. I like physical games but digital is bloody convenient. On the rare occasion I buy a game day one, or thereabouts, I go physical because you can return it if it sucks.
@Deljo I am the opposite. Except MK and Zelda I don't care for most first party games. I bought a lot of other games. That broad consumer base we are both a part of is why the Switch is so insanely successful.
I get why people get mad about digital loss but none of my physical games will last forever either. All my commodore 64 tapes are long dead. Yet I can download roms of my lost games and play them if I want. We can't preserve 100% of anything, be it game, movie or literature.
@JimmySpades The Bethesda table pack and sci fi pack are both two thirds off at the moment. Both amongst my favourites. The sale ends in about an hour so hope u get this in time.
I am not sure the switch invented this form factor. I had a controller that sat either side of my phone years before the switch came out. It was ***** like most of these things. Nintendo made it GOOD. Then they put good games on it. Any manufacturer of these things has to make all their money off the hardware. Not really a problem for Nintendo.
@Strumpan Lol, nailed it. I usually come here after reading the news. It's like a pallet cleanser. I can get angry at something inconsequential. In the case of this article, something very very inconsequential.
@BloodNinja SNES is pretty good. As is megadrive, NES, and master system. You chuck in the native ps1 emulator and it can't be beat. It's the gameboy varieties emulations I like the best. I had the various home consoles back in the day but I had never had a handheld until my psp go. There are sooo many awesome gameboy games.
I got it with a secondhand switch for an extra $20. Played half an hour and sold it it for $40. Not my thing at all. I got BoTW for $20 too. I did not sell that one.
I have most of these on my psp go. It's an emulation beast. With the 16gb I have more than enough to fit my entire childhoods gaming on it. Best of all I can play all the games I missed first time around.
I would love to know the ring fit statistics. What percentage of people kept at it? Change in fitness levels? How many just said "f*ck it" and put it in the cupboard with the abflex?
Damn people spend A LOT of time on this game. What's the loop that keeps you coming back? I like a loop, but for me it's a loot loop (Destiny/Borderlands) or Rogue-like/lite loop (Binding of Isaac you wonderful *****)
@TYRANACLES Agreed. It's like investing in a company then instead of getting shares, in said company, you get one of their products...two years from now....maybe.
@Jackpaza0508 Good luck. I couldn't find it on any of the streamers in Australia. neither Netflix, Stan, Foxtel, Prime or Disney have it. It's not on Google Play or even bloody Ebay. It's not even on Pirate Bay.
The Wii U's failure due to smartphones? It's fellow generation failure, the Vita, could chalk up smartphones as part of the reason for it's failure. The Wii U should just shoot it's marketing guys and bury them in a shallow grave.
@JohnnyC was thinking the same thing. On the psp go you could connect a ps3 controller via bluetooth. I only tried it twice and I recall it not even being full screen.
@Rayquaza2510 Because I LOVE my Vita. I must bought hundreds of games for that sucker. The port quality varied a lot. Jax and Daxter and RE revelations were particularly bad. Borderlands really pissed me off too. If they hadn't gone for native res it could have been made to run at 30fps. I suppose it was half-assed-ness of many of the ports that pissed me off. The many awesome ports on the Switch just show what can be done.

Re: Review: Balan Wonderworld - A Charmless, Confusing Fossil From The Creators Of Sonic
I am not sure we expect devs who made good games to keep doing it. "I like your old stuff better than your new stuff" doesn't just apply to musicians.
Re: Kemco Discounts Eight RPGs Across Switch And 3DS In New Spring Sale
Kemco sucks. I wouldn't bother if they were free 🤮
Re: Feature: Zelda: The Wind Waker Proved We Don't Always Know What We Want
I love cel-shading. Imagine Borderlands without it? You don't have to imagine it. Look it up.

Re: Sega Tops Metacritic's 2020 Publisher Rankings, Nintendo Squeezes Into Top Ten

Mother 3 keeps crashing my psp. I have had game ending issues with about 5-10% of the roms which has been acceptable, until now. 😭

@Dr_G_Lemaitre Go for it. Hubris is fun.
Re: Random: Nintendo Ironically Celebrates All Mario Switch Games With Fans, Weeks Before Wiping Some From Existence
Good to see them honouring their word. Sick of people "retiring" or playing their "last ever tour", then a year later they're back.
Re: Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires Has Been Delayed, With No Solid Release Date Given
That people keep on buying these games baffles me.

Damn straight it's Doctor Knight. I didn't to go to ***** medical school for ten years to be called Mr Knight.
