Re: Weirdness: SEGA Employee Has a Bad Day, Says Bayonetta 1 & 2 Are Almost "Exactly the Same"

mamp

I think Nintendo fan boys are worse than the others. At least the other fanboys act like fanboys Nintendo fans have a tendency to stick their nose up in the air and act like they're too good to have stupid fanboy wars even though they start one as soon as anyone says something negative about Nintendo but as soon as they get called on it this fanboy war somehow turned into a creative discussion. They learned it from Nintendo since they have a tendency to do this too when they get interviewed they usually say something like no we're not worried about the competition because we set ourselves apart with innovation or they go on about how they follow the beat of their own drum so they're too good for the rest of the industry (I know they don't say it but if feels implied just by the way they answer their questions). Nintendo fanboys are pretty much the same.

Re: Metroid Fan Film Seeks Crowdfunding For Completion

mamp

@KingGanny I agree with the points you made. Personally I don't care if this gets made, metroid I think is my favorite Nintendo IP but the way I see it; the movie is a 10 minute film (10 minutes people come on) and who knows it could be amazing and if it's not, well a 10 minute piece of **** is better than a 90 minute piece of ****. Also you don't really have to watch it if you don't want to (just like any other movie that's out there). Plus fan films are usually way better than Hollywood films since you know the guy/girl creating said film is actually a fan who sticks to the source material instead of Hollywood-izing a film.

Re: Soapbox: Mobile And Tablet Gaming Is Creating A Generation Of Talentless Players

mamp

Actually I believe even console games are making a generation of talentless players. I understand the input controls aren't as simple as the ones on tablets but it takes more than controls in order for something to be complex. Consoles nowadays are trying so hard to get anyone to play any of their games that they make games too easy to the point that anyone can just pick it up and play. I believe talent takes a lot of work and it has some challenge to it that console games nowadays don't offer. I'd love to hear anyone say that games are harder now than what they used to be in the old days but you'll hardly hear that because we all know it's not true.

Re: Talking Point: Wii U and Third-Party Inconsistencies Pose Questions for Console Owners

mamp

Considering I only need to add another $50 dollars to get a PS4 I would rather go with that. I think it's still an ok system but they should have dropped the piece of crap controller and used the money for it to add more power to the system. It really wasn't as revolutionary as Nintendo thought it would be, which is making me wonder how much though Nintendo is putting into their systems (I mean they thought a 3D screen on the 3DS would be revolutionary and change gameplay which it doesn't and even nintendo gave up on advertising the 3D screen). Also Wii U!? REALLY!? The name is terrible and confusing to the uninformed people like the grandparents and mom which Nintendo keeps trying to market this console to. They really dropped the ball this time. I like Nintendo but lately I keep thinking what the hell are they thinking. It's not all doom and gloom, I do expect it to be successful but I expect it to be gamecube successful which is ok at best. I'd say instead of dropping the price or the console just change the name, so the uninformed consumer can know it's more than just a tablet you stick on to your Wii.

Re: Ubisoft CEO Admits ZombiU Sales Were Disappointing, No Plans For Sequel

mamp

I think it's funny how certain people here are saying Ubisoft is terrible or greedy because they don't want to make a sequel for Zombie U. They're a company, they need money, and they can't make games because they require money to make them. They want profit (which u know profit requires you to make way more money than what u spent on a certain project). All companies want to make money even Nintendo since some of your posts seem to say that Nintendo only cares about fun and not money like greedy ubisoft. If Nintendo didn't care about money and if they truly cared about fun and the fans they would have released games that fans have been asking for since a while back (Starfox, F-Zero, etc.), instead we're getting a Mario game every year (SM3DL, NSMB2, NSMBWiiU, NSLuigi U, and SM3Dland on the WiiU within the span of 2 years). Second, Ubisoft is a terrible company now because they don't want to make a sequel? All I know is that they were the only 3rd party developer to support the system with a new IP (at launch BTW) instead of a crap port and they actually tried and came up with some interesting innovative ideas on how to use the gamepad (since Nintendo and its fanboys brag about how innovative ideas make Nintendo the greatest company ever). Not to mention they're one of the (very) few third party groups that actually supports Nintendo (and didn't jump the ship after the Wii started failing during its last 2 years of its lifespan). The graphics while not great weren't that bad (and since when do people care about graphics I thought Nintendo was all about innovation and fun ideas not graphical power, but I guess that only matters when Nintendo has to defend its console when people say its not as powerful as other consoles).

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Curious Decision to Monetise StreetPass

mamp

I don't care I have hundreds of streetpasses and like 90% of them are from the same person so streetpassing kinda sucks for me. I don't like it but I am very OCD and I can't rest until I have a complete set of something. I don't like the streetpass plaza games but knowing that my puzzles and hat collections are incomplete bothers me

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo E3 Survey

mamp

I think overall Sony had the best conference followed by Nintendo and then Microsfoft just committed suicide on stage. For Nintendo it was pretty meh the only thing that I liked was Bayonetta 2 and what saved it for me was Smash Bros. I was like =_= then I went to OMG THIS IS CRAZY!!! The only thing that made me angry was Retro's game since they said they've been working on a game that fans have wanted for a long time, I don't see how a sequel to DKCR was a game we've wanted for a long time since the first game came out not too long ago. Other than that everything was pretty okay I guess nothing too special.

Re: Talking Point: Wii U Direct - Tell Us What You Thought

mamp

Was a fan of the first Bayonetta, can't wait for number 2. My only problem with Nintendo Direct in general is that they tend to run on too long (these 36 minutes were excruciating) and we don't get that much information. I think it's partly because Iwata talks too slow and tends to say unnecessary things and on occasion he repeats himself.

Re: Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Caught In Worldwide Release This October

mamp

IDK how I feel about this, they call a new coat of graphical paint an "evolution of the series", REALLY!? You can still only move in 4 directions, still no trainer customization (considering both those trainers look lame), my guess is that it's still the same formula as the previous games. Also it looks like the battle animations take too long (which was my problem with the colosseum games) which might make battles drag on too long which I find pretty annoying.
On the other hand I like the starters, and did anyone else notice that legendary deer has Xs in his eyes? I also noticed there was someone following the main character @0:59 does that mean they're bringing back companions like they did in Diamond and Pearl?

Re: New Pokémon Nintendo Direct Appearing On 8th January

mamp

I wish they would add more story to the game they were going in the right direction with Black and White, I really liked Bianca's story about how she wanted to travel the world to find out what to do with her life and how she had to lie to her parents and run away from home in order to do it. I even felt bad when her dad showed up in that one city in order to take her back home. This is kind of a more mature story that Pokemon needs (Mature doesn't necessarily mean blood, sex and foul language)

Re: New Pokémon Nintendo Direct Appearing On 8th January

mamp

Hmm... trying not to get too hyped since it's pokemon and well they consider any small change the biggest change in the world (OMG moving trainer sprites), XD but it is fun to read about the rumors going around, project rainbow was pretty meh sounding, but project trinity sounded just plain crazy (a digital type and space colonies WTF). we'll see what it turns out to be but I doubt it will be as great as these 2 rumors. I also bet that if they use 3D models and move away from sprites they'll probably make a huge deal out of that too.

Re: Father Gender-Bends Link For The Benefit of His Zelda-Loving Daughter

mamp

@theblackdragon
While I agree with your statement I also don't believe anyone's life has ever been destroyed by finding out Santa wasn't real and I'm pretty sure no one gave up on Christmas because Santa's fake. What I'm saying is that it's the people you share those moments with that make it magical. I think it's a kinda special that a dad would do this for his daughter, how many dads out there would do something like that for their kids?

I remember Miyamoto saying something about Link's name being that way so the players could feel that connection to the character. I think this guy just found a flaw in his statement

Re: Platinum: Without Nintendo, There Would Be No Bayonetta 2

mamp

I can't wait to play this game the first one was amazing, I like Bayonetta's sexiness. It's the kind of sexiness you get from a woman who is strong, sexy, confident and she knows it. Unlike Lollipop Chainsaw where it's basically just insulting, and nothing but fan service.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Dev: Wii U Exclusivity Isn't a Snub, It's About Reaching a Wider Audience

mamp

I'm not gonna lie, Bayonetta 2 being on the Wii U upset me but I did not throw a tantrum like those ridiculous people on Twitter, I was just "aww, I'm not gonna be bale to get it" and I tried not to think about it all day. Just sad cuz I know I'm not gonna be able to buy a Wii U. I don't expect it to sell too well, didn't sell well on 2 consoles I don't expect it to sell better on 1, and most people who buy Nintendo consoles tend to focus on Nintendo games so while some third party games do well most tend to not do as good as they would have on other consoles.

Re: ZombiU Gets Royally Scary in Buckingham Palace

mamp

@NintendoLand
I know it's just nice to know that Nintendo highlighted this game on their Nintendo Direct, and alot more M-rated games are coming, not saying Nintendo needs M-rated games but a wider variety of gaming for all is always a good thing.

Re: Blitz: Forget The Specs, Wii U Is Getting Developers Excited

mamp

Well according to New Super Mario Bros U we're not really experiencing the world of Mario in a new way and I doubt we'll be able to explore the world of Zelda with our friends since it's a single player experience only
@Samholy I totally agree with you about how power plays a factor in videogames, and I am also sticking to my 3DS for my gaming, in my experience Nintendo's handhelds have a wider variety of games to choose from and their handhelds feel like they are more for the hardcore than their console counterparts do. Nintendo gets alot more third party support on their handhelds than they do on their consoles.

Re: Some Wii U Accessories For Your Christmas Stocking

mamp

Twin skin - pretty cool
Soft Case - All right I guess
Stand up station - .............
Penny - My guess is it won't fit into the Wii U stylus slot
Charging station - That's just stupid
Charging station pro- That's REALLY ****ING stupid
Wheel pad - (Walks out of the room)
