Mario 3D World isn't in game design. Who selects these things?

@AdanVC 3D World is a work of art, music, visuals, everything is outstanding. These games will be remembered.

@jhohaness I miss the old days, when EVERY game was supposed to be for kids. Now we have that division that doesn't make sense. "Hey, it has a Hollywood-esque plot and blood, it's mature."
Mario games are mature. They have artistic value.

@ULTRA-64 But the casual public is formed by adults. The easiness doesn't have anything to do with kids. What does easiness have to do with kids?

And the levels are short because it is a fast paced platformer. Not every platformer is supposed to be stressful. SMB 1 is great, but you'll die a lot.
3D World is a more relaxing game (at the beginning), you continue, see different levels with different ideas, then it becomes challenging.

@jhohaness It just isn't. It's a japanese game, where the chartoon style is popular. I don't see the game targeting children. I don't think a kid appreciates the beautiful soundtracks these games have, for example.

Miyamoto also said in a Iwata Asks that these games are not targeting kids, 50 year old people play these games, so there isn't any childish content.

If it was a kids game, I wouldn't be playing it.

@Agent721 I like games in general, not just Nintendo, and i think Nintendo deserved a lot more.

@Agent721 I doubt that LoU beats 3D World. They can be both just as good. 3D World is perfect at what it does, I'll have to play Last of Us to see if it's plot deserves to be called a masterpiece.

They probably want it to be a surprise for a Direct.

I don't know why people are so confused about the development time of Smash Bros.
Releasing in spring would mean a development time of 2 years, just like Brawl.

I don't own a Wii U yet. I would like to get one this christmas with Super Mario 3D World, which looks masterpiecy.
A question: Could it happen that if Nintendo doesn't sale they discontinue the console and we spent the money for nothing?
C'mon Nintendo! 3D Land and Mario Kart made 3DS what it is today. 3D World and MK8 should do the same for Wii U!
