Just now I realize he probably knew the cancer could still have effects, and still he kept working, and always having a smile on his face when in public, and lighthearted enough to do the stuff we see in the Digital Events. An inspiration.

What Nintendo and some people here don't realize is that NX will compete with PS5, not 4. I noticed in an interview with Reggie they actually think this gen will be as long as the last one. The out of touch is real.
At least we'll get a new Mario masterpiece with this system.

@Towelie You did get the entire game. This is a new product developed after Smash Bros, and they are not going to make it (money and time invested) to give it away for free. A little pricey, yes, but this is like the expansions that have existed for ages. People think DLC is necessarily something different.

They are horrible...and why are they so unprofessional? They don't even have a voice over. They are really bland. Have you seen the japanese ones? Showing gameplay the whole time, and a voice over that basically makes you think "This game is the most important thing ever".
The NA ones are pretty good too.

The visuals are pretty amazing.

I'd say Retro is working on a new IP, so they decided to do a portable Metroid. I think Metroid is kind of a risk right now? So a portable entry is cheaper.

I understand what you mean, but I think that makes sense in life simulation games only. The Mario games have their own fictional characters. We play them, they don't represent us.

@ajcismo It's the same in Spain. The primary reason Wii U fails is because casuals don't know it exists. I can't understand why there is no ads on TV. And their projection shows they've given up?
There should be MK8 ads running on my TV right now. It makes me angry.

@unrandomsam I never thought luck was that big a factor in MK8 though. You learn to play, and you win more often. That's what I've observed.
