The sequel in my opinion is one of the best games on the eShop and had one of the worst reviews I ever read on this site. But anyway, M2 as a developer probably means that it will be 3D effect, unlike the previous entries.
@tsukipon Most of the bosses of the first game appear again in some way or another, but it's a new story that happens some time after the first game and isn't directly connected.
@tsukipon It has a new story with returning characters from the first game and references to its events, it's just (apparently) not part of an overarching plot or anything like that.
I'm having a hard time believing you actually played the game to completion or for any significant amount of time, it improved the formula of the first in pretty much every way.
@Savino "Although our 1.600 US$ PS4 sells a lot more than the 400$ WiiU!" Let's be honest here, nobody actually buys the consoles officially released here. Game stores in my city sell the PS4 for about 700 US$.
@Maelstrom Dude...what the hell are talking about? The only games Atlus made for the Vita so far are Persona 4: The Golden and that still unreleased P4 dancing game.
@shane1228 Something many people don't know is that AHL actually has nothing to do with Assault Horizon. At all. It's a remake of Ace Combat 2 and titled Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble in Japan.
@Zexaal SMT II is a direct sequel to SMT I, so it's better to play these in order. They're also MUCH easier than Nocturne, SJ and IV. Seriously some of the easiest JRPG's ever made.
"In Dracula X, it’s almost as if there’s a slight delay to every movement, forcing you to react pro-actively as opposed to reactively." Well, that's how Castlevania is. Everything moves slowly, your commands have a certain delay(like the swinging animation of the whip), and you have very limited means to attack the enemies. It's not really about reacting to things like Ninja Gaiden or Contra, you plan how you'll deal with enemies in the window of time the game gives you. Super Castlevania IV was an anomaly and not as well liked as the reviewer seems to believe.
@Discord_Inc I'm playing it right now on the Vita and you can steer a bit if you do a neutral jump, but if you jump left or righ you can't change it at all. Just like Dracula X.
@CrazyOtto I'm sure there is but...why? Doesn't make sense much from a commercial standpoint because you might make your consumers confused or uncomfortable with some of the game content.
@ User1988 " If those were pictures of men in banana hammocks with oversized and over detailed genitalia you'd all be really f*cking uncomfortable right now. " Yes. Would we be saying that it should be censored and people shouldn't make these games because it objectifies men? Most likely no.
"Parental controls are all very well, but many younger gamers could potentially be in a position to purchase and download the game without having to alert their parents to the fact." That's a ridiculous argument. It applies to every game on every platform. "The objective here is titillation, which makes it relatively easy to see why female players — just like the one who confronted me in the Nintendo Life office — are so uneasy with this situation." So? It only means the main demographic for this game are not women. Do every game has to appeal to everyone? Games targeted towards females shouldn't exist because of male players?
Ehhh...do not want. Dual-screens should never go away, to be honest. I'm surprised Sony made the Vita with only one, clamshell design is the best for handheld consoles. It also seems kinda silly to aim for high specs in a handheld, the only reason they get so much support is because of how cheap to develop for they are.
@ HyperSonicEXE It's not censoring. It wasn't there in the first place. It would arguably be censoring if the 3DS games were released after Versus, but that's not the case.
@Tasuki, people shot it down because it was a bad game. Enemies took too long to kill while not being even remotely challenging, it had a lot of QTE's( to open chests, for God's sake), generic music and bad framerate. I think MS never made a 2D game before, because it plays like a 3D beat'em up with one less dimension, and that simply doesn't work. When you can't use the D-pad on a 2D sidescroller you know something is wrong with the game.
@GuardianKing Considering we haven't seen anything about fusions or Social Links, I guess it will be just an EO IV reskin with that Press-Turn lite system Persona uses. Which I'm totally fine with, because to be honest EO is miles above Persona as far as gameplay and dungeon design goes.

Re: Review: The Legend of Dark Witch - Episode 2: The Price of Desire (3DS eShop)
@tsukipon It has new bosses, new stages, new gameplay mechanics and a "new" playable character. How is it not a full fledged sequel?
Re: Review: The Legend of Dark Witch - Episode 2: The Price of Desire (3DS eShop)
I'm having a hard time believing you actually played the game to completion or for any significant amount of time, it improved the formula of the first in pretty much every way.
Re: Review: SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson (3DS)
@Inkling It's inherently wrong since it's calling SK a fighting game.
Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker (3DS)

That would be Majin Tensei for the Super Famicom, actually.

You can clearly see them when they're on "mech" mode.
Re: Card Format amiibo Confirmed to be Heading our Way This Year
That's nice and all, I was interested in some features of the amiibos but not in the figures themselves, but what about the price?
Re: YouTube Stars Aren't Happy With Nintendo's Revenue-Sharing 'Creators Program'
@Spade_the_prinny They make money from getting views, what's in the videos doesn't matter.
Re: Nintendo Steps Away From The Brazilian Market
@Hero-of-WiiU People here used to import slot machines and things like that as arcade machines.
Re: Nintendo Steps Away From The Brazilian Market
@Savino That wasn't my point. Also, people are buying more PS4's than Wii U's pretty much everywhere besides Japan.
Re: Nintendo Steps Away From The Brazilian Market
@Starwolf_UK The canadian eShop apparently accepts ANY credit card. Don't ask me why.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker Heading Exclusively to 3DS in Early 2015
@LinkSword Atlus has no european branch. You'd think Sega would do something about that but apparently they didn't.

@Spoony_Tech Etrian Mystery Dungeon has the usual price tag of 40 bucks. Then again it's a spinoff...

Re: Review: Castlevania: Dracula X (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
@CanisWolfred You can change the direction Richter is facing but not change the trajectory of the jump. Still, Dracula X worked on the exact same way.

Like most Castlevania games. Even The Adventure had an excellent soundtrack.
Re: Soapbox: Ignoring The Objectification Of Women In Games Won't Make the Problem Go Away

Because it attracts other potential customers? Because some people like this kind of thing? Because the creators wanted it to be that way?

Titilation?

That couldn't be more wrong.

I don't care. Except for the part about MS not working on Castlevania anymore. Maybe now we can get some decent 2D games.

What?

@ShadowFox254 One of them is Murasame, Ikaruga's brother. Hoping the other one is Kirya.

Capcom being Capcom. After giving us Xover on the 25th anniversary of Megaman nothing they do surprises me anymore.
Re: Talking Point: Is The Castlevania Series Finished With Nintendo?

That graced part was ironic, right?
Re: Video: Persona Q Website Shows New Footage

" Same with Dungeons."
What do you mean? We already know the dungeons will be in 1st person.
Re: Video: Persona Q Website Shows New Footage

Considering we haven't seen anything about fusions or Social Links, I guess it will be just an EO IV reskin with that Press-Turn lite system Persona uses. Which I'm totally fine with, because to be honest EO is miles above Persona as far as gameplay and dungeon design goes.
Re: First Impressions: Stardust Amazoness
@theblackdragon
"Do we get to 'tickle' them?"
But of course. Just Google "Duel Love" for DS.
