I can see why they keep making these olympic-centric games since they sell big time, but qualitywise they're pretty mediocre. If I had to pick one Mario Sports game it would be either Power Tennis for Gamecube or Strikers Charged for Wii, both were really fun.
A bit off-topic, but this article reminds me of the days where you could go to a gaming store in Sweden (be it GAME or GameStop) and see them stock consoles up front. When Wii was all the rage one GAME store had a whole tower of boxes placed next to the shelves, nowadays you have to ask for them to bring out a PS3/360/WiiU from behind a counter. Even handhelds you don't see much on the shelves anymore. It's mostly done to save retail space and/or prevent theft.
"It's also explained that while regional 360 and PS3 games have Polish translations, Nintendo's reportedly do not."
Nintendo doesn't usually translate their software to any European language outside of the major ones (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian etc.). For example: in the WiiU OS, only the electronic manual is translated to any of the Scandinavian languages.
I like this approach 'cause it keeps the front page fresh, as you won't see one or two games dominating the spotlight for ages because a major third party paid for them to be there.
FYI (I think) the ambassador program was revealed after the 3DS price cut was effective, which is to say the day it was announced. If Nintendo has plans for some sort of compensation (and that's a big IF) for WiiU owners, I have a feeling they wouldn't talk about it until after that price cut came into effect.
It's a pretty small price cut by Nintendo standards anyway, only by 15% or so. The 3DS cut took away a whole third of it's price.
I voted for DKC with Mario 3D World close second. I'm excited for Watch Dogs too, but I want to see reviews and hear how it stacks up compared to the other versions.
Shame they did not try to work in the two cut dungeons (I know ideas from them were reused in later Zelda games, but still), I would've bought it in an instant.
As now it looks really pretty, but as someone who's played Wind Waker hundreds of times on Gamecube I'll happily stick to that.
Twilight Princess would've been one of my favourites hadn't it been for that excruciating first hour and disappointing final boss (the sword fight with Ganondorf sounded epic on paper, but ended up being way too easy).
Would put it equal with Skyward Sword, both still great games IMO.
Sony put a clause in the contract that would've effectively allowed them to retain the licensing to most SNES-CD games and cut Nintendo off most of the revenue. Nintendo countered by entering negotiations with what they percieved to be a more favorable deal with Philips. Of course that deal also fell through, wether or not it was because of the failures of Sega CD/TurboGrafx CD remains unclear.

@SkywardCrowbar
I was actually wondering the other day why NL hasn't reviewed Splinter Cell yet.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Set To Rename The Wii U Facebook Page
Why need to set a date just to rename a page? I haven't used Facebook, but isn't that a thing you can do in like five seconds?

Re: Rumour: Ubisoft Press Day Leak Reveals Rabbids, Rayman and More Assassin's Creed
Maybe they're renaming Black Flag?
Re: Review: J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings - Volume I (Super Nintendo)
Shoving Lord of the Rings into an SNES game sounds even crazier than compressing Fellowship and Two Towers into one 2-hour animated film.
Gotta give them points for ambition, though.
Re: Mighty No. 9 Wii U Stretch Goal Has Been Reduced
Precursor Games must be so jealous right now.

@IxnayontheCK
I believe it's PS4 footage. You can see the PS buttons highlighted at times.

Undermining the competition is the easiest way to feel superiority.
