@IxC It is actually on the the START screen, hold down START,SELECT and the Right shoulder button all together, and then press A. It opens up all the extra levels, pretty cool actually.
Just out of curiosity, has ANYONE seen a MK8 advert on British TV? I can honestly say I have not, and there is just over a week to go. Seriously, the PR team for Europe either needs to be replaced, or, to radically re-think their idea of what advertising actually means.
@SilverArrow They stated it is coming this winter, which, could actually take it into early 2015. If it was definitely coming this year, I think they would have said.
@SecondServing Actually, at the end of the day, EA is to blame. Before Wii U was launched, Nintendo approached EA to ask for help and advice on setting up the E-Shop, and digital purchases and downloads. Ea kindly helped them out. However, afterwards, EA asked Nintendo if they could run the E-Shop via their "USELESS" Origin account system. Nintendo obviously said no, and ever since, EA has been on the "HATE NINTENDO" band wagon.
Once the Wii U sales figures really start picking up, which I believe they will, you will see companies like EA scrambling to get their new products onto it. I would not blame Nintendo if they turned around and said, hey, you did not support us in the early days, so why should we now allow you to make millions through software sales on our system.
@BinaryFragger And Microsoft has a deal with EVERY developer. If they are making a multi-platform game, it has to come out on the Xbox at the same time as every other version, or they won`t allow it on their system.
The guy @ IGN, went home to review a Wii U title, came in next morning, handed in his review. Problem was, everyone had already noticed he had left the game, still in its jiffy-bag on his desk all night. That smacks of being biased.
Sure, Nintendo HAVE to start spending some of their massive reserves. I have said it before, offer to co-publish 3rd party titles, thereby off-setting a lot of the cost to the developer. In return, they would not have to sell as many copies to return a profit.
As for Xbox ONE owners, if you are stupid enough to not understand that they WILL start to re-introduce those policies they did a quick u-turn on, then that is your fault. They had those policies for a reason, and they have not simply gone away. Once they have sold enough units, it will hapen. And there is talk of a cheaper version to be released, which has no physical drive, mmmm, DRM comes to mind!!!!!.
It has been shown time and again, if anyone can turn a bad situation around, it will be Nintendo. It was the same when the 3DS was launched. Everyone saying it is doomed, will not sell. Well, I think the figures speak for themselves.
Lastly, does nobody remember the bad start the PS3 had? Of course not, because they eventually turned it around. Although, they only started making a profit after 6 years. And to bring the PS4 to the market, they had to lay off staff and close down several offices. And now they are set to sell of their computer division, why? Need the money maybe?
Hi guys and gals. Have had the game since its launch. Have tried getting into it a few times, but it just seems to complex, or I am thick (possibly the latter) lol. If anyone is up for trying to teach a 43 year old how to play, please send me a Friend Request, NNID is: akaDv8R. Hope to speak/play with some of you soon, take care, Mark.
Do you honestly believe a company that has been going since around 1885, is so out of touch? they would not have lasted long if they did not listen to and help devs who wish to launch on its consoles.
Is that even true though? Why do they wish to remain "SECRET". ? Why not come out openly and admit it? So much easier to create a story about a company, when you do not have to give their name lol.
New CEO @ Microsoft, "Of course we would sell our console division and Bing"!!!! Inspires confidence.... both of which are bleeding Microsoft millions. 3 years ago, Microsoft console division had nearly 20 billion in reserves, now, it is around 7 billion in debt. they have already said they will not make any money of the ONE for at least 18 months. Both Sony and Nintendo could, bit wouldn`t, afford to loose around 100 million U.S. dollors a year for the next 4-60 years. Xbox ONE is make or break as far as consoles are concerned for Microsoft.
When I was still in the British Army, any time we had to ourselves.... out came either the Ds or 3Ds or Game Boys. Not a PS console or hand-held in sight. Are you saying the British Army is made up of kids and idiots???
Either you are unlucky or something else. My AC4 works fine. With lots happening on screen, it may drop a frame or two, but appart from that, works fine. Splinter Cell Backlist, again, split screen ok. Also, you are talking about games released within the first year of a consoles life. ALL developers are getting used to it, and as each game is created, they learn more about its strengths and its weakness. If it was that hard, why would Ubisoft still be developing for it. Can you remember the amount of updates both the 360 and PS3 had to have for Blacklist????????
People are saying Nintendo needs to put its best selling IP`s on other platforms. WTF, that is what makes them so unique. There is nothing to touch Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda, Donkey Kong (unlucky Microsoft lol), PikMin etc.etc. And now news that a new Metroid game may be in the early stages!!!!! Seriously, when it comes to forward thinking, innovation and 1st class game design, Nintendo leads the way. Yes, they need to improve their Network, party and cross-game chat should have been a given. But, I believe that some of these will be addressed this year.
Yes, Sony worked so hard making the PS4. Let`s see, right, that is what a gaming PC has inside, let us stick it in a box, and put SONY on it...... brilliant. Does ANYBODY remember the PS3 launch? No, short term memory "fanboyism" loss maybe? lol. Ask anyone at Ubisoft, Two Tribes, Shinen or countless others how hard the Wii U is to develop on, and, how Nintendo are constantly in touch with such companies offering tech support. You read 1 or 2 articles, and you doom the most successful console company in history. Nintendo must be so hard to work with, that is probably why they only shifted just over 11 million 3DS consoles last year, that explains it..... my bad.
This is ! developer, who wishes to remain "secret", if they exist at all. For one, other developers have said, making games for Wii U is not too difficult, and that they are now getting to grips with how to use the GPGPU properly. In the first year or so of ANY new console, you never see the "best" it is able to produce, not even from 1st party developers. Judging from their launch titles and how they perform, neither the PS4 or Xbox ONE is mind blowing. They took the easy route, and just copied what current gaming PC`s are using inside. Nintendo will bounce back from this, as Sony did with the bad launch of the PS3. Besides, where would Microsoft and Sony get their ideas without Nintendo?
@Gaminguy010 ermm, no. It had a good run in Japan, but the main reason for the system being down was the launch of the Pokemon Bank. It has since been recalled, but it was Pokemon players trying to access it all at the same time. That info comes from a person at NOE.
@sinanziric Oh yeah, and the winner of the first Sony PS4 in America has been told he won`t get it until early next year. Why? They have no fully working consoles at the moment, so are unable to send him one. LOL
@linktothepichu It says a lot does it not. Xbox ONE and PS4 launch with their killer titles (rather lack of), and the opinion of virtually ALL respectable magazine and sites, is, that the FIRST TRUE NEXT GEN title is.......... Mario 3D World. Just shows, Nintendo still has the knowledge and creativity to make the best games you can play. Dead Rising 3 was supposed to be the big title on ONE, yeah, they called it that because at time you only get around 3 FPS.
Sony president came out and said he is sure Wii U will go on to be a success, and is sure Nintendo has a positive future. Of course he does, he want to see what innovation they come up with next, so they can try and rip if off again. The new CEO at Microsoft already said he would sell both Xbox and Bing for the right money, as they are both bleeding money out of Microsoft. So, Xbox might be owned by Apple or Google next year sometime, and Sony are waiting to see what Nintendo come up with next!!!! Well done both of you...... lol.
@Kruger85 Not 50k behind in 24 hours, a few million to be exact. Also, only recently, it was finally revealed that the Wii U has a GPGPU inside. This is what most gaming PCs are now using. It not only handles all the graphics, it also handles a lot of the process intensive instructions that the CPU would normallu y do. Developers are only just realising this, and that simply porting games is not making use of the hardware. As soon as Devs get to grips with how to code properly, you will be able to see what the Wii U is actually capable of. All consoles first years or so games look awful when you look at games that are made 2,3 or 4 years further down the line. Lastly, as for the Gamepad being USELESS. I would love to see you play local multi-player on your ONE or PS4 without splitting the image. IF you can show me that, I will eat my words.
@lbs The DLC is NOT on disk. The 64kb file you refer to, is to facilitate the DLC. If you noticed, you had to download a 12mb file also, this is the DLC, which, like most games/DLC these days, is squashed. That 12mb file, un-compressed, will probably be around 30-35mb.
