Re: Nintendo Infographic Outlines Switch and 3DS Games for 2017

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Correct me if I'm wrong (I might be, I don't pay that much attention to these things) but of the 17 Switch games on there, aren't only 5 first-party (Mario, Pokken, Arms, Splatoon, and Xenoblade)? Even if you want to throw in the Rabbids and FE Warriors because they use first-party characters, that still makes it 7-10 first-party to third-party. Seems like a good ratio to me.

Re: Golf Story Combines RPG Goodness With The Classic Sport

Looks like it could be like Inazuma Eleven, only with golf. Which I think would be great because I liked Inazuma Eleven enough but never got around to finishing it just because I'm not a big soccer (sorry European friends, football) fan, but I like golf a lot better.

Re: Video: Nintendo Releases Localised ARMS Character and Weapon Showcases

How many people are saying they would buy this exact game if only it had Punch Out characters? And how many people have said they would buy the exact same game as 1-2 Switch if only it was called WarioWare Switch? People won't even buy Nintendo's own games unless they have their old IP characters, and then they wonder why more third parties don't put their games on Nintendo systems.

Re: Amazon US Likely To Have NES Classic Mini In Stock Again Soon

I went to Toys R Us on Monday to look for Christmas gifts for the kids, and I overheard a man asking one of the workers if they had any left after the restock on Sunday. She told him that people were lining up outside before they even closed on Saturday. Some of that may have been for the Hatchimals, too, but that is ridiculous. Glad I didn't care enough to try to get up early on Sunday, because I still would have been way too late.

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Hybrid Heaven

Has anyone played this and Metal Gear Solid on PS1? I loved this game but never had a Playstation. Then I stayed at my cousin's house once who had one and MGS so I tried it. I'm pretty sure they are the exact same game, only Konami changed some character design and added the awesome battle system to HH. I didn't play much of MGS so don't kill me if I'm wrong about the whole game, but the opening levels seemed practically identical in look, feel, and playstyle other than the fighting. It always made me wonder why MGS is considered such a classic and few even know about this game.

Re: Review: Weapon Shop De Omasse (3DS eShop)

Xyphon22

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, but IGN's review made it sound like everything was just kind of pointless. It didn't matter if you paid attention to what a customer wanted or how well you did at the rhythm game, they would almost always succeed in their quest. Can anyone comment on if they found this to be true or not? Because while the RPG aspects and trying to discover and make the perfect weapon for each NPC sounds good, if it really does not matter at all then I'm not sure about getting this.

Re: Nintendo Comes Up Empty at the Golden Joystick Awards

It shouldn't really be a surprise that AC won the handheld category. All the people who refuse to play a Nintendo system voted for it, while all the people that know the many 3DS games are better split their votes between all the games, so no one 3DS game received a ton of votes.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Staff Favourites - Super NES

Xyphon22

I can't really explain why, but for some reason the SNES games are one of my least favorite in their respective series (Zelda, Mario, Metroid). Chrono Trigger, on the other hand, is my second favorite game ever, only behind the original Legend of Zelda.

Re: Feature: Your Guide to a Nintendo Holiday

I walked through Wal-Mart yesterday and saw at least one of each of the Basic and Deluxe Wii U's in their case, plus there may have been some behind those that I couldn't see. Apparently it isn't that popular here.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda (Wii Virtual Console / NES)

This is still my favorite game of all time. There's a person in each dungeon that gives you a subtle clue to the location of the next dungeon, so you actually have to think and explore to find it, but it's not completely random luck. Much better than just following an arrow on the screen or an X on your map, in my opinion.
