I'd have to side with Einherjar on this one. All my copies of Nintendo's first party titles are running flawlessly. I've noticed no frame rate drops. Even my third-party titles (ACIII/IV, Ghosts, Black Ops II, Splinter Cell, Rayman) all run solidly. Though, this is a person who found no drops in GTA V on PS3 and keeps his gaming PC locked to 30FPS. So disregard my comment.

I still have my DedSec edition on pre-order. I don't care how long, my Wii U must play it. I've been defending this version from my PS4-owning buddies, who try to persuade me into getting a PS4 for W_D. I don't care how long, I must hold that Watch Dogs game case in my hand and put the disc in my drive. It's more ideological for me, than anything now... I'm 27, but I'm still in petty arguments with other grown adults about ports. It's 1996 all over again.

@bizcuthammer That honour, dear sir, goes to Mario Hoops 3-on-3. The most addicting basketball game ever made. Everyone should play it. No work would get done. Don't base Mario Basketball off that bad Sports Mix. No. Never. Plus the CD Remix of Sherbet Land? Mmmhm....

I honest to the Goddesses of the Triforce, I have dreams about Mario Kart 8. I did last night. It shot the Wii U's sales so high, it beat the PS2 by 20 million. I musta' been trippin' on LSD or somethin'.

I'm in the same boat. My 32GB card is filling up fast, especially when I download every demo available. 14GB used and counting.

I have the Retro-Duo 3.0, the model before this one, and it is working admirably. I haven't had any issues with it, as even games that people say don't work in the system play perfectly, like Mario RPG and the Super GameBoy. Mega Drive games don't interest me at all, so I'm not goig to upgrade.

... The Wii U browser sucks for typing into.

Thank god! I really didn't want to buy this on my PC. I just couldn't bring myself to play it on something other than my Wii U, when I was hyped for that version. If Watch Dogs is Ubisoft's last major swansong for the Wii U, I will be pleased. For all of the Wii U's problems, Ubisoft gave it a very good run, unlike EA.

It's good to hear that Nintendo are finally jumping into the 21st century, in their own quirky manner. Sure, it's not the way we were expecting, but nonetheless, it's a step forward.

I've been thinking about investing in Nintendo lately, because Nintendo's share price collapsed in the N64/GC era and then shot up considerably with the Wii. History can repeat itself. Even if Nintendo does the worst thing imaginable by going mobile, I'll make a fat profit. Lose/Win.

I bit the bullet and redeemed my Club Nintendo codes lying around, so I got this hat. As usual, it takes 4-6 weeks for Nintendo to mail you the item, so the waiting game begins.

Step it up indeed, myself.
My little brother has a thing for Doges, so I'll see about importing in the near future. Thanks again Nintendo Life for making my wallet cry!

@XFsWorld Indeed. I've put my $150 down. We have one last shot to convince "Triple-A" 3rd party devs to support the Wii U. I've bought all major third party releases on my Wii U instead of my gaming PC or PS3, even though it's lacking simple features like DLC.

I loved the Wii, but from 2008 onwards, it collected dust coming out only for major Nintendo titles. Not even my GameCube or Nintendo 64 was like that. I'd hate a repeat for my Wii U. Please...

Wow. I am speechless. That has to be the most cringeworthy things I have ever seen in my life. Bravo Allan and Nicole "Nocole" Samantha? Oscar quality stuff.

The iQue Wii's design was different? I heard, like the IQue DSi, it was the same as the worldwide release. I could be wrong.

My top three are:

• Watch Dogs. It looks amazing and even though GamePad features won't be used, I still crave for an open-world GTA clone on Wii U.
• Project CARS. Having been blown away by Gran Turismo 6 on 7 year old hardware (I was underwhelmed with Forza 5, considering the Xbone is "next gen"), I would love to see the Wii U give Polyphony a run for it's money.
• Monolith Soft's X. I have no words to describe the hype.

@Worthy Indeed. Free stuff like that justifies my 32GB SD Card. I still play those Ambassador games, I'm stuck half-way in Fire Emblem, it's just not my cup of tea. Anyway, thank you Nintendo, my birthday is smack dab in the middle, that is if it comes to Australia..

So amazing. Link fits that blue so much, I expect lots of cosplay. I'm going to my store tomorrow to pre-order. I wonder if even the sales clerk knows what it is. Hehe.

I'm so synched for this game. It looks amazing! After playing some Gran Turismo 6 and staring in awe about what the dated PS3 can handle, I can't wait what the Wii U can accomplish. I am bracing myself for a Wii U version cancellation, like the PS3 and 360 version, though.

Just coming back from the NeoGAF Assassin's Creed IV Digital Foundry thread and becoming all gloomy about my Wii U, seeing this made me smile. I have full faith in Nintendo's 1st and 2nd party teams to showcase the Wii U. Good show, lads, bring on X and Zelda.

Man, I grew up with this! I could never pass Stage 3, even to this day. I still own my Aussie cart so I won't be picking this up on my Wii U, but man, I gotta bust it out one day.

Even though I grew up in Australia, I remember the trilogy (Super Show, SMB 3 and SMW) being broadcast over here, and remember them fondly. Rest in Peace.

I am genuinely shocked at the Mario Teaches Typing hate, I own MTT 2 and I found it quite fun! Anyway, I'm mixed with the idea of a Nintendo Tablet. If done right, it'll kick Apple and Google's duopoly in the shins and boost Nintendo's mainstream hardware. On the otherside, it could weaken the Nintendo brand and damage core gamers.

@MadAdam81 That's the same reason (barring my near-obsessive Ninty fanboism) I got a Wii U at launch. $428 AUD was still alot for me, but considering the $550 and $600 pricetag for the PS4 and Xbox One, it's acceptable. I breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Down Under, there is a considerable price difference, unlike Europe or NA. That might help the Wii U in our Christmas in Summer.

I saw this awhile back and it still keeps me jealous. Sometimes I do wish I grew up in the late 1980's in suburban America, just to experience the Golden Age of Nintendo.. Ah... A man can dream.

Nintendo aren't going anywhere, the 3DS is too strong. The Wii U does have challenges ahead, but if Nintendo made profit off both the Nintendo 64 and GameCube, I have a feeling they'll eventually profit off the Wii U.

I'm going to be controversial and say I never, ever got a Wii Balance Board. I wasn't interested (still am) in the Wii series of games. The only one that caught my eye was Wii Music. That said, I saw one at a local second-hand store for 50c. I'll get it one day.

I skipped the Mega Drive. My family had a Master System for years before we finally got a SNES in '94, though I wasn't allowed to use it. Still boot that old machine up sometimes. RIP Mega Drive.

Personally, I want this as it increases the chance of the Wii Mini being launched in Australia. It just looks so damn cool!
Realistically, this is bad as the Wii U should get priority. What happened to Nintendo's habit to can their previous console when it gets a successor? I couldn't get a boxed GameCube because of that. Grr.

I've still got my Wii U DedSec copy preordered. I admit, the game does look blander everytime I see it, but I guess that's because Ubisoft's been showing the exact same footage over and over again for months. I'm still looking forward to this with some epicsauce Gamepad use.

I.... must have now. I've been type following this mod for quite awhile and it keeps getting better and better. Nintendo needs to make a Zelda RTS, the Wii U is perfect for it.

Even though I live in Australia, I've liked EarthBound ever since I was 7-8 through Super Smash Bros on the N64, but I despise illegal emulation, so I didn't get to play it... Until last year when I imported a mint Mother 2. The game is perfect, lives well to the hype.

When I read EB Games in the title, I immediately got excited at the prospect of an Australian showcase. Nonetheless, we sorely miss out... again. I wish Nintendo of Australia wasn't such a regional office and actually did marketing or at the very least have a front man such as Reggie or Shibata. We miss out too much. I hear all about these roadshows, experience showcases and just sigh at it.

I import a lot of classic Japanese games off eBay. Just today I received Super Mario RPG for my Region-Free Retro-Duo. Imagine in 20 years, with American/European Wii U/3DS games being uber expensive, the only means to buy and play classics natively, with a budget, is to buy Japanese titles. I hate the fact that I had to buy a Retro-Duo, since my Australian SNES cannot accept NTSC games, but back then there was a difference in Television signals, so I understand that. But today? The NTSC/PAL divide is pretty much eliminated, as seen by the competitor's consoles. The legal rating mumbo jumbo is a flat out lie. I adore you Iwata-san, but please...

I'm willing to support any third party that stands behind Nintendo. I currently have pre-orders for Watch Dogs and ACIV, with my long overdue Legends pre-order collecting dust in my abyss of my wallet. CoD Ghosts and this are games for later in the coming year. I only have my 1st Party eye on SM3DW, but haven't had the slightest inch of pre-ordering it.

Their eyes.... Too much 2000's Pac-Man art design.... Too much sadness.
On-topic: These are fantastic pieces, I like the attention to accurately recreate the era of drawing. This is the best Walt Disneyesque conversion I've seen.

Isn't it obvious that the Wii would get features on parity to the other systems, I doubt families will be buying a PS4/One for Skylanders, let alone anything else on the systems and isn't the Wii the most selling system for Skylanders?

Uh... Unless June is July over in the mother country, Perth's Supanova has already happened. I went two days ago. I was at the Nintendo booth... I had so many StreetPass hits it cannot be explained. Over 130. Too bad I had Sticker Star in my 3DS instead of Black 2...
