@MadAdam81 It's not, I believe EB Games is the only Australian store that will carry NSLU and it's priced at $58. I'm getting boxed because I don't own NSMBU anyway.
Like Burning_Spear, I too would rather a shiny, sexy and smooth green box... I pre-ordered a couple of days ago, along with Pikmin 3, so July 27 is going to be one hell of a day for my Wii U.
@Mortenb I believe you are getting to politically correct for the article. It's a joke, not to mention mass common perception of Capitalism is money. Anyhow, I hope for a western release, as quirky Japanese RPGs always tickle my wallet.
All those things could be overcome by learning the game, remember games, especially platformers from that era had to be challenging to be worth that $50. That said like Sonic 1 though, I never finished Sonic 2. Also; speaking for the MS version, Sega wanted to usher in people into the Mega Drive, so making people fed up with old tech limitations with their version of Sonic 2, was a perfect selling point for the 16bit Sonic 2.
@EarthboundBenjy Your review of Sonic 2 is very subjective. To this day, I much prefer Sonic 2 over Sonic 1. I do feel it was rushed or not cared for to some degree, but take into account by 1992, most people had Mega Drives and it was Sega's flagship console.
I actually own this game on my beloved Sega Master System and love it to death. Still haven't beaten it, as most of my controller's buttons are broken, sans Left/Right and A. Anyone know a fix for that?
Purely out of nostalgia, I'll be picking this rendition up and I'm sure I'll feel giddy like I always do when I pump out the old MS. <starts humming the tune from the Bridge zone>
I'm almost positive this SM3DW is a filler for the true sequel to the Galaxy 64 arc. Nintendo obviously wanted a 3D Mario game on the shelves by Christmas to compete with the PS4/One and didn't feel that the proper sequel could be finished in time, with Nintendo's Seal of Quality on it. Don't worry guys, it's coming. Enjoy this and MK8 in the process.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I cried tears of joy when I saw the Smash logo at the beginning of the trailer and cried through out the trailer. I, I, I.... Then wet myself when Mega Man popped up. I'm not embarrassed to say it. Because; Smash Bros.
Is it native 1080p? Or upscaled? If it's native, it'll shut the haters up. I had no doubt Nintendo would push the Wii U graphically. MK8 looks like a PS4/One title, for Christ's sake! The Wii had games at 360/PS3 levels (Galaxy), so I knew it would happen again. GG Nintendo, you win E3.
I know this is off-topic, but has anyone else been looping Final Hours from Majora's Mask, too? I've been looping it in my headphones for the past hour or so, not stopping until that clock strikes zero.
On-topic, after watching Sony's massive bombshell, I regret to admit defeat, before we've already started. A price point of $399 and no DRM restrictions, make the Wii U just unviable now. The PS4 is next-gen in hardware, which, I know the Wii U is too, but it has the un-budging support from third-parties, unlike the Wii U. Don't flag me as spam or anything, I've been solely Nintendo-only for decades, but the PS4 is looking more and more viable. I love my Wii U, but it may see it's fate as a secondary console, something which a Nintendo console has never been in my life. It's saddening and I hope it's not true. But it is.
Three hours until judgement Direct. <bells ringing> Hat off if you get the reference.
I really want to see the Wii U version, hell... even the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions, just to have some sense of what I paid alot of money for. I hope they don't gimp their current-gen/Wii U version.
I smell a Revolution coming. Not the revolution we loved back in 2006, a different revolution where gamers from around the world will rise up and thwart the scum of gaming, anti-consumer practices, such as DRM. And Nintendo's glorious next-gen console will lead the charge and we'll be done by Christmas. The demon-people denounce the revolution... They will burn in the fire of our victory!
I'm on the verge of funding this game. As the Nintendo Ultra 64 is my favourite console of all time; I'm very much willing to splash some cash to resurrect the greatest genre ever. The collect-a-thon platformer.
I felt disenchanted with the Sonic franchise, post-2006. My favourite Sonic game was Sonic Heroes on the GC.... Virtual Console release, please? Hopefully Lost World can regain some faith and I plan to purchase it Day 1 on both 3DS and Wii U.
I want to see Watch Dogs on Wii U at either Ubisoft's event (unlikely) or Nintendo's 3rd Party Direct. I want to see what I paid $150 for, not the PS4 version.
I have a feeling Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with no used games. If you don't please brick and mortar stores, who will sell your product to the masses? The Internet? I doubt Mother Molly from the pub is going to buy an Xbox One on the Internet, rather than going to the shop and picking up a Wii U for their 3 year old. Microsoft, Microsoft....
The half-assed Sniper Elite V2 Wii U port and some delicious Red Orchestra: Rising Storm Beta. World War II all the way this weekend; I may even delight myself to some Battlefield 1942 while I'm at it.
It is truly disappointing.
I absolutely love Sniper Elite V2, I own the PC and Nazi Zombie Army expansion pack and play them both to bits.
Came home today, super excited, with my pre-ordered Wii U copy.... Utter disappointment. Hopefully Rebellion can regain some of my lost faith with Sniper Elite 3... Bring on North Africa.
I'm quite excited, I hope they use the GamePad (and PlayStation Vita Remote Play*) to it's full potential. I pre-ordered the DEDSEC edition for Wii U and hasn't got a heartbeat on GTA V.

The Master System/Game Gear version. I never owned a Mega Drive, I switched to SNES in 1994.
