@JHDK oooo, Zelda is one of my favourite franchises ever but seeing those N64 tech demos as a kid then getting the muddy, blurry textures always left me feeling meh about Zelda n N64 in general.

I'd put Goldeneye or Mario kart above zelda

Excluding the 3DS, switch is easily their best console since SNES. Come for the 1st party and get avalanched by the mountains of legit games by everyone else.

That excludes multi-plat AAA, they're better on PC

@Papichulo two were Wii U games, 3 if you really wanna count Minecraft... You might know something I don't but I'm pretty sure the other platforms had to stay home too. Don't see any of their games in the 10 bar 1

Current state:

• Supply chain issues
• Excessive consumer demand
• Switch is mid/end life cycle
• Entering the highest consumer spend period of the year (They already have this planned out)
• New console's are launching, only early adopters which statistically is a small % of a products life adoption rate

All of this above without actual data is enough to suggest all the switch will be doing is dropping as many games as possible into the lead up to Xmas and providing a price cut. 300 buck Xbox @1440p or a now 200/250 switch thats 1080p, portable with an established library of games... Makes the choice compelling

Either way, if they have a new system (which they do) or if they don't, there is ZERO chance they're discussing officially prior to xmas

@zool neg, basic economics and life cycle analysis would show it'd be smarter to not announce anything this quarter. Got a switch in its mid/end life cycle where the vast majority of sales are casual gamers and two consoles launching where the vast majority of purchases would be enthusiasts.

Cannablise sales of the former with insignificant influence on the later.

It's why your seeing a tonne of game/bundled console announcements for NS

Only new thing you should see this quarter is a new low Xmas price point

Dang, watch the quality fall off... Doesn't bother me as I PC predominantly but be interesting to see if they have timed exclusives for their digital content and/or physicals

I honestly don't understand the thought process. I want a copy of I am Setsuna, I can't find it anywhere in Aus and was unaware of the game until it was too late. How is this different? Is there a length of time of availability that every gamer has agreed on?

We don't know the print run on smbas, nor do we know if it'll get a re-release, nor do we know if they'll extend digital downloads. Everyone that has posted here can get it now... Speculating the future is pointless hence why I don't understand what the "drama" is

Mmm, I don't have a problem with it tbh. I can play these classics on switch now. They don't play any worse than the originals and we have months to make a purchase for an insignificant milestone...

Id rather this than them take resources away from NEW games

I personally voted for 3D Land. Most enjoyment ive had with a Mario game since 64. Interesting though I actually haven't completed a Mario game in full screen aka TV since Sunshine...

@AlbertXi agree, knowingly is a stretch though. They probs didn't know when they shipped it but they def knew when complaints rolled in AND that's when they should have done their due diligence and offered a recall/options...

Agree with you mate. Exorbitant prices for old games. What baffles me is why are ppl playing these games on a controller and console. Better suited to PC
