Majority of people don't even know who owns the character as they think it's Platinum or Nintendo.

As of 2022, Sega still owns 100% related to Bayonetta.

Sega gets money for every Bayonetta copy sold.

I think it's about time to make a Zelda movie.

@Jemae $450 Millions is confirmed to be totally wrong as they sold nowhere near 15 millions.

Bayonetta 1+2 had just over 3 million shipped copies and not all of them were even sold even years after release. They never had to manufacture more copies due to low demand.
They barely broke even on the first 2 games as both of them sold poorly.
60$ price tag is also wrong as they were sold for 50$ at most.
Nintendo versions earned less as they were mostly bundled with Bayonetta 2.

Bayonetta 1 were released on 5 systems and even then it sold bad.
It sold so bad that Sega, Sony and Microsoft refused to fund Bayonetta 2 as there is no money in the franchise.

Bayonetta is only a niche franchise and still is looking at the poor pre-orders until yesterday.

I think Fenyx Rising sold enough to probably get a sequel.
Switch version supports cloud save with PC and other consoles btw.
Anyways. You should finish it. It becomes more engaging after a break. I took a week break in Fenyx as far as i remember.

@Synthra Platinum were never a rich company.

They had to rely on funding from other companies for years, because they couldn't afford to make games without others funding them.
They also had a mega flop again in 2022..Babylon's Fall.

Looks like Platinum is hanging in a thin string if Bayonetta 3 also fails if you look at the poor sales of the two first ones.

Neither Platinum or Nintendo owns Bayonetta. Sega owns 100% of the IP.

First choice for me is Immortals: Fenyx Rising.
Engaging from start to end. I completed it on PC.
It's a Zelda'ish game, but still different from all Zelda games.

I wouldn't bother with the 3 DLC' in the game as it's quite different and inferior vs main game.
Play standard edition and ignore the season pass.

@Savage_Joe *I completed the 2 first and i'm getting Bayonetta 3 on day 1. And besides. The physical costs only around 47$ on release in local store.

Bayonetta 1 were released on Wii U, PC, Switch, Xbox 360 and PS3. 5 systems. Bayonetta 1 were a 40-50$ game btw.
Wii U and Switch versions had bundle with both games, which means income for Bayonetta 1 were even less on Nintendo consoles.
On top of it there is still unsold copies of Bayonetta 1, so the real sales is even lower.

In reality average price for Bayonetta 1 were maybe only 40$.

Most people think games are made 100% for free, as they think companies earns 60$ on a 60$ game.

Bayonetta 3 physical costs only ~46-47$ on release in local store here.
In fact Bayonetta 3 costs less on release than what Bayonetta 1 costed on release 10 years ago.

Nintendo is only the publisher and had no involvement with her.

Platinum have 0% involvement with Chris Pratt's salary in the Mario movie.
People are comparing Pratt's salary vs her salary and says it's unfair.
Well. Pratt is a movie star, and she haven't voiced anything for 8 years as she is a nobody without a voice career.
She have no history to make high salary demands. She should be lucky to even get 250$ an hour as a nobody.

Voicing Bayonetta isn't a big thing as the franchise always sold poorly on any system.

Bayonetta 1 were released on PC, Wii U, Switch, PS3 and Xbox 360. Even then the sales combined were poor.

Sony and Microsoft refused to fund Bayonetta 2 due to poor sales of the first one.
In fact i don't even know why Nintendo funded Bayonetta 3 as it may become among the worst selling exclusives on Switch.

She said she only needed max 3 takes for each recording, and Bayonetta isn't even heavy on voice acting. She only do 4 hours a day, and spent 4 days on previous Bayonetta.

She don't know what minimum wage is in reality. McDonalds employees could tell her a thing or two about that.
250$ an hour is something most dream of.

As far as i read, most voice actors for games never were well paid.
Voice actors can't be compared to movie stars like Tom Cruise.

@PrincessKatamari Ignoring the 10 millions, it's much harder to play in a movie like that for 5 months, because the studio owns you during that time and you lose freedom for 5 months.

Standing in front of a mic in a room is some of the laziest jobs anyone can have. They usually only job 4 hours a day too.

Bloodborne is believed to a big title, but in reality it only sold 2 millions on a market with 140 million consoles.
This is why Sony couldn't get Elden Ring exclusive as they earn much more when it's multiplatform.

In fact Sony said last year that exclusives in general sells bad on their consoles, and is why they expanded to the PC market to recover costs of making them.

People buy Sony consoles for FIFA, Call of Duty and Assassins Creed. Not exclusives.

Bayonetta isn't exactly a huge franchise, but still a well known one. Especially since Bayonetta 2 on Wii U were a GOTY contender.

Then Sega decided to quickly make a port to PS3 which had bland washed out graphics and stuttered from start to end even from HDD, making it nearly unplayable like so many other ports to PS3 back then. Red Dead Redemption on PS3 were equally bad as Bayonetta, while it were proper on 360.

360 version had better graphics and didn't stutter even running from disc.

It's her own fault, and you shouldn't blame all employees who spent years on making the game. It's not the employees who offered her the money.

I'm getting it on day 1 to support those who spent years on making it.

Devil May Cry 5 were never ported to Switch, because they didn't have the dev kit yet. Somehow they didn't care to port it later. DMC 5 is not a demanding game and should run fine and still look nice.

Anyways. If had to chose between Steam Deck and the non anounced "Switch Pro", i would chose Steam Deck as i have over 3000 games on Steam already.
Steam Deck can run any new PC game natively, but with lowered settings depending on game. As a bonus, it just loads my PC save games already in Steam Cloud.

I think PC Handhelds is the future of handheld gaming.
More or less all Xbox games runs on Steam Deck, and 10's of Sony games runs on same handheld natively. God of War, Spiderman, Days Gone, HZD, Uncharted etc.
On top of it Steam Deck is so powerful it can even run a bunch of Switch games in a emulator.

Steam Deck only cost like only 20% more than Switch OLED, and has 10's of features missing on Switch.
Steam Deck is not available here yet, but will be before end of 2022. Gonna buy it.
If you want a powerful handheld that can also be connected to TV, you should also get Steam Deck. They cost around 400$.

@Rainz Graphics seem downgraded, probably to avoid slow downs. I don't think the game will stutter much as they used many years to make it, and polish it.
I doubt it will be like the newest Hyrule Warriors game which still runs like ***** 2-3 years after release. It were never fixed i think. They even had the balls to release a paid season pass for a unplayable game.

I bought Switch 3 years ago mainly because of Bayonetta 3.
