Not a surprise, Ridge Racer at that time was huge, the Sega vs. Namco arcade wars were a beautiful thing. Sega had Daytona, Namco had Ridge Racer. Sega had Virtua Cop, Namco had Time Crisis. Sega had Virtua Fighter, Namco had Tekken. Then Namco sided with the PlayStation and the rest was history!

God Xenoblade has such bad character designs. It's not because of the fanservice, because I thought the same thing about 1/X as well. Just so tacky, trashy and over-the-top.

Loved the game, but the story was clearly unfinished. Here's hoping they can release an SMTV Apocalypse to improve on it.

@sleepinglion Well there is the theory that they intentionally made the original Sonic design bad and then redesigned it in order to generate more hype and sales which is pretty convincing.

That villain design is terrible and irks me everytime I see it.

@Savage_Joe It's not a double standard. Otome games are just way less raunchier than their counterparts, hence they get a cleaner stigma. I don't have any problem if games are raunchy or not, but there's no hypocrisy here.

If you want to find games that objectify men, try BL instead...

@Oddball83 You didn't answer my question, what you consider to be the "generic anime characters" in the roster? Because to my eyes Link is the same pretty anime sword boy that the Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy characters are. Especially DQ, as DQ and Zelda have influenced each other.
