Re: Pachter Thinks Nintendo has Superior First-Party Software

@40
The graphics in Shadow of the Colossus were outstanding, in fact the entire game is supposed to be artsy and was praised greatly for its visuals. The controls were not clunky, they captured the struggle of trying to climb up a giant colossus perfectly. Lastly, I never experienced any slowdown in the game, so I have no idea what game you were playing. It may not be as good as Zelda gameplay wise in your opinion, (even though the game isn't even close to relating to Zelda gameplay wise except for the fact that you have a bow, a sword, and a horse) but it is definitely one of the most memorable games of the past decade, if not all time, for all the reasons you said you didn't like the game. (Which actually don't exist.)

Re: Mega Man Legends 3 Cancelled

TheBaconator

I think Capcom has a grudge against Megaman. I mean first the announce that they weren't putting him in MvsC3 because "he doesn't bring anything new to the game," even though every character's attacks were almost identical to their attacks in MvsC2. Then they cancel Megaman Universe, and now they cancel this.

Re: Talking Point: The Growing Storm of Operation Rainfall

Nintendo knows best. These games would sell horribly in the states and the costs of localizing the games and advertising them would exceed or maybe come close with what they are going to be making off the games. If they are released during the holiday season, there is no way that the average consumer will purchase one of these titles over Zelda, Kirby, Mario Party, etc. and not to mention the big seller for Nintendo this year is a 3DS, and for a lot of people that may just be the only video game related item they purchase. So really, there is no room for Nintendo to incorporate these games into the holiday line-up. They could possibly release them next year, but there's an even smaller amount of consumers outside at that time and these games would probably fade away after a few weeks. Nintendo is a major cooperation and so they act like one, which means, they need to avoid taking huge risks such as localizing 3 games in a row that are destined to have poor or mediocre sales. Sure if one game flops in their sales every now and then it doesn't hurt too badly, but if 3 "big" games fail all within a couple months, that's a killer for the company.

Re: Rumour: The Mercenaries 3D to be Recalled in Australia

I purchased the game today, and I think that deleting the save data in this game, no matter how you purchase it, would not make a difference what-so-ever. Unless you really care that much about the medals and unlocking costumes and characters, who you already know are in the game, this game actually would benefit from having all the missions available from the start. Especially when the first 6 missions of 30-something are tutorial levels which are completely repayable if someone buys it used. It would allow people to jump between difficulties of missions instead of becoming tired of the easier ones quickly, but forced to continue them.
Oh yeah, Gamestop will be accepting trade-ins on June 30th now.

In America, you can not rent this game on Gamefly or trade it in to Gamestop due to this issue:

I don't understand why this is happening. You could not delete saves in Elite Beat Agents, but you can trade it in and rent it on Gamefly.

Re: Wii RPG Outrage Floods Official Nintendo Facebook

TheBaconator

I could care less. The only titles I've ever wanted Nintendo to localize were Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, in which they gave us Elite Beat Agents, and Captain Rainbow, which is never going to happen due to vulgar humor and bad sales in Japan.
I feel Kind of bad for Nintendo Customer Support. First they were bombarded by over 29,000 people asking for their Zelda Soundtrack, and now people are constantly calling, emailing, and complaining about Xenoblade and two other games I didn't know existed.

Re: Review: Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion (3DS)

TheBaconator

I got about 12 hours of play time out of this one so far. It was a good concept and a decent game, but there were way many bugs, the single player was below mediocre in my opinion, and the AI wasn't too bright and would often run straight into attacks or follow me off the stage.

@BulbasaurusRex
You should watch some of the older ones. The "Chocolate with Nuts" and "Shanghaied" episodes are two of my favorite cartoon episodes ever and there are plenty of other winners. Back then, most episodes of the show weren't just two idiots acting like idiots. It's too bad the show hasn't put out any entertaining episodes on TV since the movie came out.
