For anyone curious, here are the games in the Milestones collections that were not in the Legends collections.
Space Seeker Halley's Comet Ninja Warriors Ben Bero Beh Darius II Dinorex Solitary Fighter Champion Wrestler Dead Connection Rastan Saga II Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga Episode III
The only game I have for XB1 is Rare Replay. I wouldn't have bought one, but a friend of mine gave me a good deal when he upgraded to a series X. Also kudos on not being a pirate!
@Axelay71 I think they should have done something like Codemasters' Aladdin Deck Enhancer but has the various special chips built in. That way they they wouldn't have to install an expensive chip in each copy. They could just release a new model every couple years. It would have lowered the cost per game and lowered the risk for developers that wanted to make games that required special chips.
@DoomPlague I'm no hardware engineer, not do I have special insight into any of the Sony or Phillips designs, but I'll bet that a cartridge game could be programmed to take advantage of the cd add on. I know with the Genesis that cartridges such as Pier Solar are able to access the Sega CD to add red book audio and there were enhanced versions of CD games that took advantage of 32X hardware.
@DrDaisy I've heard that it was because they thought they would need a slower processor in order for the snes to be backwards compatible. But then they found out they weren't able to get the backwards compatibility to work and still sell the system at the price they wanted. By that time it was too late in development to go with a faster processor and so they were stuck with the slower one. That is what I recall. I don't have a source for that. If anyone does, or has more information on it I would love to hear it.
@J-Plap I think it is a good way to specify what kind of controller it is. Arcade sticks, steering wheels etc., are all controllers. What I hate are when they people call them "remotes".
None of them are that great. I would have picked the European version if it wasn't for that border. But at least it shows what kind of game it it. I can imagine that some people bought the game in Japan thinking that it was like Bubble Bobble. The only reason the NA cover is bad is because they took out Bob and Bub. I chose the Japanese version just because it has decent art even though it could be confusing.
@Tyranexx Yes. Both of them are different games and from what I hear, both of them are good. There is also a Sega CD game that is a visual novel/RPG hybrid based on the manga. Unfortunately it is Japanese only. It is also the last Sega CD game.
@mystman12 I know that Rogue Squadron does. I think Battle for Naboo does as well. That's all I know off the top of my head, but at least one of David Wise's soundtracks must have, otherwise he wouldn't have said that.
That's a good question. N-Gage is the only other format that I can think of that used a landscape orientation for their boxart. That is something that an interviewer should ask next time they interview someone higher up. I wonder if it was just to be different or maybe intentionally taking up more shelf space to crowd out their competition (although that could really backfire).
@MarcusIsCool
Just to be clear, I am talking about a hypothetical change to the law. But to answer your question, anyone would be able to release it on any platform. Just as anyone can make copies of Night of the Living Dead and release it on any video format.
I'm talking about all forms of media. The count down wouldn't start until they were no longer available. So something like GoldenEye would go into public domain in about 2022 or 2023 (depending on when they stopped officially selling it.), while Pong would still be covered since they keep re-releasing it. Some of the real questions would be how to deal with altered versions. Are remastered versions or enhanced rereleases a new game or the same game?
@construx "SD graphics" refer to the resolution, not the graphical style. They may have "8-bit" style graphics, but they are being displayed in HD on the Switch.
Correction: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition (1995) was the second Power Rangers fighting game and it was for the Super Nintendo. You are thinking of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1994) for the Genesis/Mega Drive.
I hate to complain about an awesome remake like this, but I was really hoping for a fully 2D game with an art style that matched the opening cinema. I have been hoping for the same thing with a Zelda 2 remake.

Re: Random: The Fastest Way To Beat Paper Mario Is To Turn It Off And Play Zelda Instead
People blow on N64 carts? I only ever saw people do that with NES games.
Re: Return To The Fairway, When Mario Golf: Super Rush Arrives On Switch This June
@TheUltimateFaker
In my opinion the golf games are but not the tennis games. I haven't played the others.
Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online SNES And NES Service With Four More Titles
@Malcrash SquareEnix isn't going to put that up on the service. They are already selling it as part of the Mana collection for switch
Re: Nintendo Is Now The Market Leader In Video Gaming's Biggest Region
@SwitchForce Talking about business in China is inherently political.
Re: Arcade1Up Is Releasing Its Very Own Killer Instinct Arcade Cabinet
These are cool. But I would much rather have a full size cabinet and then buy the games separately.

Re: Nintendo Is Now The Market Leader In Video Gaming's Biggest Region
Last I heard there were hardly any games available for it though.
But honestly, I don't think anyone should be doing business with China until they stop abusing human rights.

Re: Asia Is Now Nintendo's Fastest-Growing Market
The thing is, it is really easy to be the "fastest growing" when you are dealing with percentages and starting with low numbers.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #60 - Metroid: Other M
The western cover art is better overall, but the Japanese version is better than the sum of its parts just because it is fun.

@GrailUK
In 1972 when Pong ripped of the Magnavox Odyssey Table Tennis game.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #52 - Mega Man 2
So yes, the Japanese one is a better representation, but I like the American one. I don't want to like it but I do.
Re: Waifu Uncovered Temporarily Pulled From Japanese eShop Due To Explicit Scene
@Silly_G
Might I suggest "The Last Jedi"?
Re: Random: Have Super Smash Bros. Boxes Been Teasing Future Games All Along?
Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS is a pun. Super Smash Bros 4.
Re: Herzog Zwei Is The Next Sega Ages Classic To Come To Switch
This is something that I am looking forward to trying. It sounds a lot like the multiplayer mode in Future Cop LAPD.
Re: Herzog Zwei Is The Next Sega Ages Classic To Come To Switch
@Atticus-XI It came out in North America and Europe.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #45 - Phalanx
@JohnnyC That's about all we have going for us at the moment.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #45 - Phalanx
Actually I think the ship looks more like an endoscopy capsule. They should have made the game take place inside the banjo playing guy!
Re: Legendary Composer David Wise Explains Why He Wouldn't Have Swapped The N64 For A CD-Based Console
@GiygasAF Super Mario 64, Goldeneye 007, Rogue Squadron.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #43 - Super Turrican
Honestly, none of them are very good. I picked Japan even though I find it bland because the suit design is just so silly.
Re: The Original Voice Cast Returns To Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
I loved this on the Wii. I don't normally replay RPG's due to the time commitment, but this is one of the few that I would love to replay.

Re: Feature: Why You'll Never Get To Play Your Favourite Retro Game On Switch
I think the answer is copyright legislation. If something isn't officially released for 20 years, it should go into public domain.
