There's a fine line between boring and relaxing. Sailing is 100% relaxing for me. The visuals, the music, the creaking of the boat, the sound of seagulls. It's a vibe. I love it.
I need latency measurements from a controller review Also it would be nice to test the d-pad with a game like Tetris 99 where misinputs are very noticeable
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the framerate is completely unlocked in the Switch 1 version of Link's Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom. Since the system is capable of outputting up to 60 fps, it means the games range from 60 in the best case scenario to... well, even lower than 30 in the worst.
So, since the Switch 2 is capable of outputting up to 120, shouldn't the games hit 120 out of the box?
The dev sounds reasonable to me, it's Nintendo's process that got stuck on an issue that players were never going to encounter.
And this has absolutely nothing to do with filtering shovelware. Even the laziest shovelware can be approved as long as it doesn't break the rules, this doesn't mean it's better than a legit game that's struggling with a technicality.
Can we take a moment to appreciate F-Zero 99 for being awesome, frequently updated with new content, and completely free for those who are already subbed to Nintendo online, with no microtransactions whatsoever?
People are clamoring for a whole new game, and so am I, but what we have right now shouldn't be taken for granted.
I loved the old balloon battle from 64/DD/DS with a limited number of balloons and infinite time. It was less chaotic, more tense and calculated, like the equivalent of playing Smash Bros with stocks. The modern time-based version doesn't really do it for me.
I hope there's an option to change the rules in World, but I wouldn't hold my breath, Nintendo seems to be so stubborn with options.
If the third party games seem low, it's most likely because a ton of people already played them on other platforms. I love Elden Ring and Hitman, but I bought them on Steam a while ago, so I have no reason to buy them again.
For as charming as the Wii, 3DS and Wii U used to be, I just need the eShop - and all the system menus in general - to be fast and responsive. Leave the charm to the games.

Re: Back Page: Mario Kart World's Roster Is Full Of Deep Cuts, So Where Are These Guys?
I would LOVE to see some RPG representation from SMRPG, Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi.
Re: Nintendo Shares More Footage Of Zelda: Wind Waker On Switch 2
I analyzed the footage and I can confirm that it is, indeed, The Wind Waker
Re: Talking Point: With Prices Rising, Are Your Gaming Habits Changing?
I'll think twice before making any purchase. I have to be more selective and try less new stuff.
Re: Louvre Says Au Revoir To Nintendo 3DS Audio Guides
It never got to see it in person, but I always tought it was incredibly charming. I hope the replacement isn't a generic tablet/smartphone app
Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying Any Game-Key Card Switch 2 Games?
No. I'm not even boycotting, I just think they're pointless, they're links to the eShop in plastic form.
I'll just go to the eShop and download the games from there.
Re: Poll: After One Month, How Often Are You Actually Using 'Nintendo Today'?
I don't want a separate app for Nintendo news, I just check a feed on Bluesky.

Re: Nintendo Direct: Mario Kart World: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
Promising game, puzzling Direct. Mostly repeated information with a couple of original bits here and there.
