Re: Guide: Essential Nintendo Switch Accessories

Here's what I don't understand yet: if all match-making with friends and chat and such are going to be handled through an app on your phone, how are these chat earbuds designed to work with the system? The app must interact with the console itself in some way via bluetooth or something and I really wish they'd talk about this already.

Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo Switch Super Bowl Ad Was a Huge Success, But Why?

@lighteningbolt79 So, admittedly, I've been a PC/Nintendo sort of gamer for a while now and have owned every Nintendo home console, but I find the portability extremely attractive. If a multi-platform game comes out on Switch, so long as features are close enough to the same across versions, I see no reason not to buy it on my Switch instead of my PC. I do some occasional traveling by plane, so the portability is a win there. I'm also recovering from cancer and have to sit in a lot of waiting rooms, so again, big win. And I play D&D with friends regularly and we have some in the group that aren't particularly great at being on time, so whipping out the Switch for a little impromptu multiplayer is yet another win. The portability open options up for game-able moments to a much higher degree than these old-school, stationary home consoles. So archaic.

@duddy I'm pretty sure one of the few clear things they've said about Switch's online service is that chat and setting up games with friends will all be handled through an app on your phone. So that means every game, not just Splatoon 2. It seems a bit odd to me. I mean, I know a lot of kids have phones these days, but I don't plan on giving my kids phones until they're a bit older, so what about kids that don't have phones? I don't know. I don't like it.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Will Not Feature HD Rumble

@Anti-Matter Are you serious? A) Your point comes from a complete lack of real understanding, and B) your analogy is super flawed. A) You've never experienced HD rumble. I've never experienced HD rumble. But those who have say it's a game-changer and is a big deal. B) Sauce is incredibly important on pizza! Don't be crazy!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Will Not Feature HD Rumble

I think that's absolutely rubbish perspective on the games. Why was the purpose of the Switch version to be the exact same experience as Wii U? They didn't do that with Twilight Princess, nor should they have. If the system has interesting features, add them. I just don't understand why they would want the game to be the same. It sounds like them covering their butts because they didn't want to put any extra man-power into the HD rumble. Don't be a politician, Aonuma.
