the problem with this is can teven remember what half the games i had were called.
1-super mario bros 2- duck hunt (almost forgot this one) 3-super mario bros 3 4- balloon fight, got this on the ambassodor program, great game, 5- cant remember the name it was a horizontal version of twin bee 6- whicever mega man i owned 7- zelda II 8- kid icarus, just got this having some fun 9- there was this overhead rts type game, where you controled a tank along with some other units (i believe) i thought it was a command and conquer game, but that doesnt exist so Anyone got any ideas, (im pretty sure it was mostly green and black colours wise) 10-cant think of a tenth one, Galaga i guess even though i ownly had it for psp
@Wilford111 honestly i would really just like a 3d megaman collection, i dont really want to get the eshop versions, cause im pretty sure capcom is going to have something bigger planned for megaman, also is the any word on mega man 9 or 10 on the 3ds?
would a nintendo direct even mention capcom games?
@JuleyJules yeah that makes sense stop making things for the console that is selling, genius, wait till cristmas if you want your wii u fix, because i will tell you now that is when nintendo is planning on making there cash,
Christopher Robin really? christopher robin ? also this dude looks like the much more awesome voice actor Jon Benjamin, someone who couldnt be farther from being a true gentlemen
this game should get a re release, or even a new game, on a certaain portable nintendo, cell shaded graophics was a good idea, they still hold up even today
@mariobro4 i think theyve had most of the so called claasics i got excitbike from the rewards (not great) twinbee im almost positvie and kid icarus, i dont think theyve had kirby yet
spent all my coins yesterday, to get kid icarus, it was risky not knowing if anything better was coming, but i seemed to make the right choice (as i dont play my wii)
the wii u is what it is, a console in between the behemoths of nintendo, much like the gamecube in bewteen the n64 and the wii, it will never sell as well, however their next system will be the game changer, im predecting it now...
@supermario4ever supermario bros, new supermario bros 2, mario 3d land, what more could you ask for, theres nothing in mario 3 thats not in those games
@BestBuck123 for someone who claims to be a fan you sure miss the point, critics write what they do not to tell people what to see, but to start a discussion about it, to say who cares its in the eye of the beholder is to discredit every artist ever. artist do what they do to get a emotional response from people, and to say who cares takes away the entire point of art (which is essentially arguing about which is better) and im sure thats how the artists like it
@Captain_Balko i too get emotions like joy and sadness when playing video games, but those are very surface emotions, art should connect on a deeper level than that, it should make you think, it should make you question things (life the world, whatever) and while nintendo does make excellent video games that are enjoyable i would not consider them art. many may disagree,
but i will say this and it probobly applies to most people that video games have never made me cry.
@Gameday i play many games, and a few have been close to art maybe, but i dont really feel it can be art when you are controlling it, art is something that you let happen to you, not the other way around
there are some that probobly get close (fallout 3/ portal 2) but even than you dont come away from those changed as much as a movie like Cloud Atlas, which i personally think is the point of art, to emotionally affect someone on a deep level. Maybe some people can view video games like that (as art as very personal) but dont see video games that way.
Any suggestions that you can think of that will change my viewpoint?
@Ralizah there at the top of your screen when your on the homescreen, to the left of your frineds list, there basically personal notes if you want to remember something specific from a video game
I kind of agree on the video games not being art, video games cannot crate a emotional repose the way movies or books can (but art is personal so i'll give them that) but video games have too much choice to be art, art is art because the artist is giving you a personal view into their soul, if you can pick and choose what to do it takes away form the so called masterpiece.
@rjejr no they should focus on both, welcome to the launch period for a new console, new games are few and far between at first, so dont expect much wii u stuff happening untill in needs to (christmas)
@HeatBombastic i honestly would love another 2d zelda, those were always my favorite, however i dont have a wii u so put the 2d zeldas on the 3ds and let the wii u have the 3d ones
the wii u will get its time in the marketing spotlight, nintendo just doesnt want to spend millions on advertising before a game that can sell a system is out
Anyone else think they should make a genises style gamep pad for the 3ds, similar to the circle pad pro? one that could be optimzed for games like smash bros, or street fighter, they could include a new control stick on the right (so fighting games wont destroy them, and add a couple new buttons on the left.
I personally would love this and would buy this day one
good news, looking forward to this, i would, like to see it be a little longer though, and if they added the challenge mode from the wii version that would completly sell me on it
@rayword45 if a video game leaves you wanting more you got ripped off, ex. fable 3, a video game shoul leave you satisfied with the game, so you can put it down, and then later you can play through it again knowing it will be fun, but for the most part i agree with what you speak
@zenarium dont get the nintendo games first, they will be around forever, get the 3rd party releases, especiallly the m rated ones, to show the developers we are willing to but games if they live up to a high level of standered, plus the more games that arent made with kids in mind the better, not that theyre bad but they seem to be dominateing the system curently
