I think that Ubisoft is very popular for lowering its prices sooner than they should, I will never forget how fast they put on sale Fenyx Rising after just a few weeks after launch, it seemed like a very bad treatment and lack of respect for all those customers who did pay full price for that title. Ubisoft has earned its reputation of giving away their games very cheap very soon. I am actually looking forward for the new mario rabbids to cost about 10 usd just because of this reputation. Another issue I see with this company is that they think quantity equals quality, there is no need to create 100 + hour games if as a result you get a more of the same repetitive experience as the one you get with all assasins creed titles. I would gladly pay 70 usd for the same game with a duration of 30 hours average or less.
Nintendo is like the mad scientist you see in movies that always have some cool invention under their sleeves, that is why I admire them as a company, I love their culture of continuously thinking outside the box and risk taking.
Market for this thing: hardcore gamers that own most of their aaa titles on pc and want horsepower on the go. I don’t know how big is this market though, I agree nintendo does not care much about horsepower( at least not wanting to lead on this front), more about fun and innovative gameplay on their awesome ip . Plus it offers the best hub for Indies, exactly the type of games one enjoy to play on the go. On the other hand I love my ps5 and love playing aaa titles on the big screen and at least for 2 hour sessions. Every gamer has different needs, let’s see how this thing sells.
Switch pro won’t be available soon, at least until the chip shortage stops. The prices are through the roof plus the console is still selling very well. I expect to see a switch pro announcement on a year from now and a launch date on Nov 2022, but it all depends on the chips shortage situation, we might still add another 12 months to this dates at the most .
Couldn’t agree more with you, there are some games that simply show not respect for your time ( I am looking at you Assasins Creed ) It’s been a while since I don’t feel ashamed of quitting on games, time is scarce and it is way more valuable than the 60 bucks you pay for a game , my last quit was the Witcher 3 , I was just not interested in the story as much as I would like to, gameplaywise it was ok but did not live to the hype I was expecting ( maybe because it is an “old” game ), in a few words : a good game Is the one that respects your time, a game that doesn’t feel as if it is throwing repetitive and unnecessary work at you, a game that leaves you wanting more after beating it. Games I love: Botw, Horizon zero Dawn, Spider-Man .
I would place Pikmin 3 above these all, it is an underrated jewel in occident. The only stress you get is returning on time to your ship every night, apart from that , the most relaxing game ever.
I am 15 hours into the game and I love it, it is quite therapeutical imo, it is great when you run your kitchen and everything works great from the start, the most complex levels are the ones with space limitations. I recommend this game to everyone that likes automation, this is not a party game, it is an amazing puzzle game. Pure joy
I think these motion controls are great because they are optional to use. Sometimes you feel energetic and really enjoy playing with motion controls and some others you don't want to move a finger. In the end this console has the best from both worlds with its optional handheld use and motion controls.
Nintendo focus on continous improvement on every detail is their key to success, I am glad they keep breaking paradigms and taking risks, same as what happened with mario kart, smash bros, splatoon , and arms. Thanks god Japan exist
These are basically the result of Ubisoft wanting to market their game to a more grown up audience, they are afraid people might think this is for kids only. These commercials make it clear that their are targeting adults as well. Plus I seriously doubt these appear on Cartoon Network , these ads are more social media filtered oriented for teenagers and up
I miss Rare titles, it's culture was 100% Nintendo like. Passion for the detail was their trademark, we need more risk taking developers such as Rare. Awesome games

Re: Japanese Magazine Nintendo Dream Might Be Teasing A New Game
A Kirby tilt and tumble for switch would be great.

Re: Talking Point: Can Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit Possibly Be As Good As It Looks?
Need to have the bowser kart, need it to be fast, need it to have battle mode. This has a lot of potential for grown ups lol and I hope it delivers.
