Re: Feature: Five Key Reveals We Want in 2015's First Nintendo Direct

RickyNGmr

A new loyalty promo program will be great... as the details for the New Nintendo 3DS (release dates/bundles) which should includes some kind of promo-trade in order to impulse the willing to upgrade I believe. AND although Miyamoto already expressed StarFox will be playable @E32015 (don't expect release date so far on the ND) at least some sort of video might be good to see its development progress...

Keeping my expectation neutral... is better to gets surprised...;^)

Re: Gallery: A Closer Look at the Latest Splatoon Updates

RickyNGmr

There's many obvious reason to be sure that Splatoon will be rockin' out some 'splash splash' in tomorrow's ND!! (Crossed fingers ;^)) At first I saw it like a good game to fill up any gap; while I do think will be filling some gaps... it truly looks like Nintendo is trying hard to make it a strong new ip. Hope it do so...the details sounds like it deserve to.

Re: Guide: Getting the Most out of Your amiibo with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

RickyNGmr

@Sir_JBizzle trrue about Walmart. Near my home there's one... it only have the amiibo advertisement...below it just have accesories for 3DS and Wii U. No amiibo at all; they told they are still waiting 'til this week to arrive! What!? But there's a ton Disney Infinity abd Skylanders!!

However... Toys R Us got a full wall of amiibo though.

Re: Anouma Confirms Majora's Mask 3D Has Been In Development Since 2011

RickyNGmr

It was a safe bet it was coming due to every tip given by Nintendo, Aounuma himself. Although I really doubted @ some point the effectiveness cuz ha s been passed 3 YEARS... and I do believe Iwata-san had to allow the announcement NOW, after missing E3 opportuniy! They did notice that the hyped for the game have sort of fainted, due to the tips and the time passed without even a little dessert ;^j. But is GREAT TO KNOW IT WILL COME... although I did expected by now it will work under the New N3DS capabilities (more to come surely as Aounuma-san told).

Re: Nintendo Boasts New 3DS is its Best-Selling Remodelled Handheld System to Date

RickyNGmr

Couldn't just tried to bundle it in the US (November launch perhaps) with the upcoming games like Pokemon...or even bundle it with SSB3DS since it is is apparently the first game available that will utilize the "c" stick. That will assure strong sales for NN3DS in this upcoming holiday, and west just dont be like 1 year late for get it. MH4U should keep it steady in the west for the 2015.

Gosh!! I JUST WANT IT NOW SO BADLY!!! ;^P

Re: The GameCube is 13 Years Old

RickyNGmr

Mk Double Dash, Soul Calibur II, SM Sunshine, RE4, and I really enjoyed NBA Street Vol 3 w/ the Mushroom Kingdom court and players!! ;^), Metroid Prime & WindWaker, Eternal Darkness...SMB Melee OMG; sorry, need to go now to reconnect mine!!!! GCN!!

Re: You Can't Count Nintendo Out, Says Activision CEO

RickyNGmr

@rjejr I agree with you completely... they are being nice speaking about Nintendo, not Wii U, cuz "They are obviously not off to the start they've probably hoped they would've had with the Wii U".
Ppl should understand that the gaming business isn't about future investment but what profit can be get from investment already done! If Nintendo goes multiplatform holding their own, of course it sale a lot even more than what we could expect maybe, but that will impact their business as hardware maker; well is a backward way. Companies cant keep affording huge investments for developing a game that, will sell lower than needed for a system... is not a smart move. If Ninty were only software... they will do the same! It's all about profit!

Re: Mario Kart 8 Passes One Million US Sales as Wii U Shows Improved Momentum

RickyNGmr

Is good to see by now that since MK8 release the Wii U has shown an improved month to monrh sales, while no exact number are given yet, though. But as stated often... the momentum is something the Big N will try to keep it going over the coming holiday season... not for once, as many analyst thought it would... yet it seems it working out. Is not a sprint race by now... the pace looks holding good

Re: Capcom Is Remastering The GameCube Resident Evil, But It's Not Coming To Wii U

RickyNGmr

This kind of scenario is what is beyond my mind about why nintendo isn't willing to take a bold move and BUY CAPCOM!! ×× This port not necessarily being the point, but, still, the series itself seems to be moved away from the Big N. At least... secure MH... since it will be 'abandon N ship' soon... WE CANT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN!! ^^

Well, is their business... there's things that always will be above fans, why? Who knows!!

Re: Hyrule Warriors Nintendo Direct Arriving Next Week

RickyNGmr

No matter what, is good to see another Direct coming to the west. And yes, am all in that a special edition will be show to impulse preorders of the game!! AND, commonly they always includes little thing from other kind of stuff not necessarily main presentation related. Perhaps a Smash sort of acknowledgement.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Evolve Its Hype Machine

RickyNGmr

The Big N has been doing something good after all... lately reports have came up about how the interest on Wii U increased. But more strange is that stores like Walmart, BestBuy have being doing a little more space to their Nintendo's area, at least locally in my region (Puerto Rico-Caribbean). And at GameStop is more usual than before hear them spread the word about "Nintendo's is who will have the most active fall/Holiday season, check it out their releases... for Wii U". I guess that could means there's a certain hype about Nintendo now, even more expectations, than before (and/or E3). They are 'exposing' the games they know their fanbase will buy after all (Smash/MK8).... but are forcing others to 'hey, guess what, we are still here, we are Nintendo, and we are about GAMES'! From September thru December (if no delays occurs!!) nintendo's line up have the strengh to fight. And the amiibo featuring on Captain Toad/ MK8 have the strengh to get into the minds of the Parents/Kids. Hyrule Warriors, meanwhile, I believe is creating hype over the curiosity beyond the Zelda fans! We can expect a Direct near fall... Sakurai told "Directly" that more details will be given before the Wii U release about the cross platform feature (There's an icon already exposed!!! ;^p) on SSB4. They are recognizing something ppl often forget: is not about 1 or 2 big Momentums; is about keeping a 'momentum' afloat as long as u can in the hardware life cycle, because sales will continue in the long road upon it!

Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Be Promoting The Wii U GamePad As A Tablet Killer?

RickyNGmr

Of we are going to be honest here... Nintendo have nothing to be care about competing with tablets regarding the Game Pad. Is true it can do certain things a lá tablet likes. However, Nintendo itself was clear since the Wii U started: the GamePad IS A CONTROLLER AND NOT A TAB/PAD product. So I really am glad to see them focus on the Game Pad as a device that can bring unexpected ways to assure an awesome gameplay more than just off-TV (which is awesome) .... they don need to try to get a"market share" creating an idea of something that thw GamePad isn't. And they were clear since day 1: the Wii U is a CONSOLE with a CONTROLLER with a screen on it which can provide new ways for gaming, as being use AS AN INPUT DEVICE FOR TVs AND OTHER RELATED APPS.

Re: Talking Point: For Better Or For Worse, The Wii U GamePad Is Here To Stay

RickyNGmr

Does ppl really think about how logical would be if Nintendo ditch the GamePad from the WiiU? It have non sense at all! First, the Wii U have been conceived to be functional WITH the GamePad. Is its primary input! Second, there's a bunch of game that required the GamePad to be play, as already mentioned @Tlink7. Just think how would be played Nintendo Land...certainly in a simplistic way. Third, The GamePad put the Wii U out of the equation "this do the same like the other, but those make it prettier". Wii U bring you the opportunity to have the big screen solely for the game, do whatever else on the pad! Its brings you an easier way to control some of your media though. Gosh I love Netflix/AmazonVideo using the GamePad as controller. Four, The gamepad itself allow you to do Off-Tv play... web navigation and even Nintendo TVii is a great App to interact while you see the Playoff, not to tell that really helps to organize TV priorities on its own way!
I know the other systems are strong... but nothing as the GPad that can make them different on what yourself have being doing from last generation with its consoles. Those that claim the Big N to ditch the GPad are think are those who still want Nintendo to launch a Wii HD (guess what: that wagon left so much ago). -my humble thoughts.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Hitting 3DS This Summer, Wii U Launch To Take Place In The Winter

RickyNGmr

Dont know who said this already (if so) but, didnt you guys heard Sakurai talking about "i will tell about this feature on later dates". Ther will be connectivity between both versions. Although they remarked BOTH WILL HAVE THE SAME ROSTER AND SOME "RETRO" STAGES AMONG. However 60fps even on 3d for the 3ds and smash run exclusive... that makes me think that the longer window for the U version have to be related to some characteristics that will apply ONLY ON WiiU and some sort technical detail and GamePad features which should be announce "in later dates". I really feel ok with the whole releasing window, more if that implies X, or Hyrule Warriors or Bayo 2 might come sooner ;^)

Re: Retro Studios Talks Up Wii U And Has Been Working On A New Title Since November

RickyNGmr

Is just, I see the U and it looks as its have born to have in it METROID!! Have you guys ever wonder all the great uses the GamePad can have!! At first to scanning! Now just imaging having Samus' Suite display in the GamePad... in a game which already you have all your elements/armors available to use, and you makes your own combination as needed to your suite with only tapping each part of the suite and select the armor/capability you want to enable!! Of course, also, have the Map enabled on the GamePad to amplified each sector with only your finger (minority report hahaha); an such other things that can makes you feel that really you're immerse on Samus' world!!

Re: Satoru Iwata Talks Down Wii U Price Cut Prospects, 3DS to Drive Profits in 2014

RickyNGmr

TBH... I just thinking right now, Wii U still does have more chance to do a big 'TURN AROUND' on its situation than the GCN; looking that the latter got more power than its competition, although nothing else keep it apart for stand above, in one the toughest console era ( hello media/online!)... however, the U still a power system with more online functionality than the Wii does, and, it got the GamePad... a input tool Nintendo still not shows off what is capable of; and too many ppl knows already (here too) that Sony/MS is just trying to get the same implementation with its resources... anything so far the Pad does can be copy easily, though; Nintendo surely will try to pull the advantage above them! E3 seems to be having a live presentation from the Big N this year, dont you think?

Re: Satoru Iwata Talks Down Wii U Price Cut Prospects, 3DS to Drive Profits in 2014

RickyNGmr

@Kindread you're telling truth indeed. Though of course the GCN Controller seems to fit perfectly as of today, no matter the other scheme are functional if not better in a short end... Wiimote/Nunchuck kindly fun actually, and wiimote itself serve up the match (well I guess big hands might actually use it comfortably)... let see how it goes to the GPad and/or UProController...
As for MK8, Iwata-San mentioned they're starting WITH this game to shows off how the GamePad can "enriched" a game ;^) although I just hoping is not only for the quick start feature!!! O_o

Re: Talking Point: Is There A Future For The Wii U Without The GamePad?

RickyNGmr

Does anyone here understood what have been the central part of the fun Nintendo always shared within its hardware?: Controllers!! Control Pad (NES). SNES Controller with shoulder buttons x/y adds. N64 revolutionary Camera control and joystick ( c buttons), rumble pack and the Z targetting. NGC had proved to be one of the most comfortable controllers to use. Even having the rumble integrated and the ' c button' as a joystic and 'Z' located above...amazing. Then the Wiimote, who can deny is superb influence to the gaming industry; even broadening the market by its intuitive games/gameplay. And now the GamePad!! Yes ppl. The GamePad is the functional heart of the U. So, it will be practically unbelievable to see the GamePad taken off from it! Each piece of Big N hardware have been completely dependable on its input: Controller! Surely they still making up his mind on how to show its Full Potential soon. Assymetric gameplay, off-TV, navigational remote (web/apps), TV remote is been partially adopted. NEED MORE DEEPER GAMING INTEGRATION...that's all!

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Confirms Super Smash Bros. Changes to Edge Grabbing Mechanics

RickyNGmr

There's many characters that makes grab the edge simpler than others... I think this time around they will try to make it more balanced, influenced by the damage % and/or how much you'll be able to hang in there! I believe remembered on melee or brawl, if you was too much time on the edge something happen within the stage animations that makes you fall (star fox/metroid stages)

Re: Nintendo Dominates Festive Hardware Charts in Japan

RickyNGmr

So, what we can say about it...? It started!! Lets the WAR begins!! Jajaja, no kidding now; just guessing that those are the numbers the Wii U must keep coming thru 2014!! And it seems by the software expected to come, it can be! Hopefully overseas the Wii U will shows similar or bigger numbers!

Good one Nintendo!!

Re: Video: Just Look For The U On The Box, Nintendo's New Wii U Promotion Helpfully Suggests

RickyNGmr

Is really a great commercial... and to be honest, is like it has been conceive to cutting it into "stages" for TV. Each part is an advertisement of its own!! Thus, Nintendo could put each as a wave of advertising thru National TV. Example.. there's a show.. commercial break :Wii U commercial....etc repetitive commercial break with each part of that video! Finish each them with : just look for the U in the box! Jajaja
I can assure you everyone will gets in his minds: "GOTTA LOOK FOR THE U IN THE BOX". Jajaja

Re: Nintendo Direct Focusing On Wii U And 3DS Games Coming Spring 2014 To Air Tomorrow

RickyNGmr

If they just bring something about "X".. HOW AMAZING IT WOULD BE! At least a brief confirmation from the deverlopers about any status . Although the certain cards to play are MK8 & DKTF, however Im not giving up at any news regarding Bayonetta2, though. They can perhaps just show us a "trailer" with all the game they are expecting to release coming summer 2014 thru spring 2015!! That might brings the heat up to fans and media!( While no zelda will be shown for sure)

Re: Rayman Legends And Splinter Cell Blacklist Both Sold Less Than Expected, Says Ubisoft

RickyNGmr

@dumedum Bet on that for sure! Not that perhaps will be a sold out game, though! However certainly it would be doind SO MUCH BETTER. You cant understimate the many fans that turn the back on the game for going multi neither, I guess.

About SplinterCell, is a shame it's doing so poorly... considering that even the Wii U version seems to be the perfect fit for it, although some glitches issues did have an effect in its review performance. But do believe it will be selling a couple more on Wii U as soon the console begins to sell more & Splinter will be cheaper. Seems like a good pace started to take place!
