@Ooyah Also loved Target Renegade, so your obsession is understandable! The original Renegade port to the ZX Spectrum is still, to my mind, the very best conversion of the original arcade title.
@thiswaynow Mine too, love anything Singleton... Doomdark's Revenge, Dark Sceptre and Midwinter are all absolute classics of their day, you have excellent taste my friend!
@thiswaynow Agreed, it's always great when game developers actively engage the gaming community. Also, loving your avatar pic... Lords of Midnight and Mike Singleton FTW!
@Brownmonster It's a fantastic rally game, I'm enjoying it immensely. Great work, it's right up there for me with the great Colin McRae games of yesteryear!
@Brownmonster I love Rally sims, and this one is looking rather fantastic, and I always appreciate when the developer takes an active role in the comments, so sign me up, I shall be purchasing this on release day.
@Hylian_Ticipated Hi there, I just headed over to your Switching Worlds site to read your Vambrace review, and now I'm definitely interested in buying it. A very comprehensive and well written analysis, I too was disappointed with NL's own review of said game, and as a lover of Darkest Dungeon I'm very glad to have found your appraisal of Cold Soul. I am also a struggling reviewer of over five years now (though of comic-books) so it can be disheartening to read some rather bullet point/list reviews that appear to have little forethought or time spent on playing or discovering content. I have bookmarked your site and shall be returning.
Great news! Deadly Premonition is a zany, quirky little gem... though not to everyone's taste it must be said. If you're a Twin Peaks fan though... the coffee is great in this one!
It's amazing, I am thoroughly enjoying it. Aesthetically pleasing, with a great soundtrack and fantastically fun combat... awesome stuff from Platinum (once more!)
@Moose_4 You can play the physical version without attaching the ships, I've had the game since launch physically and have not even pulled the Arwing out of the box as of yet.
@Mycroft I absolutely love Deadly Premonition (and Twin Peaks... of course) so I second your recommendation of DP on the Switch, I mean who doesn't want a little more F.K... in their coffee!
Will continue my arduous trek through the mammothly marvellous Monster Hunter GU, interspersed with some terrible attempts at Enter The Gungeon (I'm woeful at the game, but do love it!) and will definitely find time for a few more runs on Lumines Remastered... so many great games... so little time!
They're still banging this drum huh? in the 50's and 60's all the ills of the world were blamed on rock music, in the 70's and 80's it was the so called "video nasties" and for the past few years it's been video-games. How about tackling the actual problems instead of scapegoating whatever is popular with the general populace!
@Sakura7 Ah, a fellow Arrow Video collector, love that firm. In fact just today I picked a copy of their Guyver (Mutronics) remaster, it's still cheesy but the picture quality and extras are fantastic... same can be said for Night Trap (which I love, by the way)
I shall be indulging in some Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon (damn, this game is fantastic, can't believe I waited so long before purchasing it!) and Layers Of Fear.
@FragRed Mightily agree with you, and I'm an ex-assistant manager of GAME! That said, I transferred from the aeons better Gamestation before we were absorbed by the evil empire!! Most of the staff I worked with during my tenure at GAME thought retro meant... PS2!!!
And there I was, excited for a physical cart of Stardew... what a disappointment. Oh and by the by, GAME in the UK have been doing these 'physical' download cards for, well, ever!
