Re: Ubisoft Expects Five Million Wii U Consoles in First Six Months

Ploppins

@kyuubikid213
4.63 million units is such a precise prediction =P

And I seriously seriously doubt the Wii U will EVER drop to $150, Dauntless lol And if it ever does have a price cut, it will be so late in its life that there will certainly be more games than just Pikmin 3 for you to enjoy.

I just know that I'll definitely be one of those 5 million =D

Re: E3 2012: Our View of Nintendo's E3

Ploppins

Ahh the Internet... Where everyone argues their own opinions as if they were objective truths... I read about 50 comments before I just couldn't take it anymore =P With that being said, I personally enjoyed Nintendo's overall performance. I'm not looking for 5+ Wii U launch titles; at $65ish a piece, I'm only going to pick up one. Pikmin 3 looks great to me and I'm extremely excited to buy that alongside my Wii U!

Now nobody dare share an opinion that differs from mine!!!

Re: Talking Point: Wii U and the Future of the Online Pass

Ploppins

Let me preface this by stating that I don't know much about economics lol With that being said, I don't understand why video game companies are so exceptional. Selling used goods is common free market practice. Goods are produced. Goods are bought new. Some of these bought goods are sold. Some goods are bought used. It's present everywhere, for all goods. Cars and homes are sold used by the minute. Do the car manufacturers make money from the sold used car? No. Do the construction workers who built the home get money when the house is resold? No. So why are video game companies so exceptional? Why do they feel entitled to making money off of used sales, when nearly no one else in the market does?

Re: Add Nikki to Your Mii Collection

Ploppins

@22 You can leave Spotpass on, in order to prevent MK7 Mii overload, turned off the option for joining by invitation (or something like that). That should fix it.

And I'll enjoy an e-reader app if it allows me to read my own .pdfs lol

Re: That Zelda Timeline Makes a Bit More Sense Now

Ploppins

Copenhagen interpreted everything wrong!! String Theory is proven correct!! hahah It appears that reality really does exists as a multiverse, with every single probability playing itself out in its own unique universe. It all makes sense. Nintendo is just utilizing the three major possibilities that resulted from Ocarina of Time, choosing one of those three universes to use as the setting for the games that chronologically follow. There must be a physicist or two working for Nintendo =P

@Zach (post #10)

I remember that magnifying apparatus!! My older brother owned a gameboy and I occasionally played it. I was probably... around 5 years old, so I never really knew what the heck I was doing lol but I have a lot of fond memories trying to play Jurassic Park. I always used the magnifying device, too. Can you imagine if they made one of those for the 3DS? Hahahah

Re: Talking Point: The Most Memorable Nintendo 64 Games

Ploppins

Woah, I wasn't the only one who played International Superstar Soccer 64?! I was with my mom at Hollywood Video (R.I.P) and we saw it used for like $3 so she got it for me. My cousin and I had soooo much fun playing it together. We would take breaks from our extensive elementary school schedules and have sleepovers every weekend to play it together lol I'm only a senior in high school now, but boy, this reminiscing sure makes me feel old!!

Re: First Photo of New Look Wii Console

Ploppins

Everyone, before complaining about how this is a "stupid" move on Nintendo's part, please read ThumperUK's post (39). He said everything that came into my mind once I started reading people's complaints.

If anyone has waited this long to purchase a Wii, then they won't need it for Gamecube compatibility. If anyone really does care enough to have Gamecube support, they would have purchased their system already, or they plan on doing so now before the new model is shipped. This makes perfect sense, as it now costs Nintendo less money to produce each system, and people this late in purchasing a Wii won't be buying it for it's backwards compatibility.

Re: New Look Wii Released This Christmas

Ploppins

Woooah, this is unexpected! Too bad I'm in the US and I already have purchased two Wiis hahah my first broke =(

Can't wait to see pictures! I also find this interesting because the original Wii works quite well horizontally; it even has grips on the side so that it can sit on its side!

Re: First Impressions: Heroes of Ruin

Ploppins

I can't wait!! And I think pressing Down to immediately sell items is genius!! In RPGs, particularly Borderlands, I would always pick up items with the intent of selling them later on, but would eventually drop them because I would forget to go to the store, causing me to run out of bag space lol

Re: Wii U Controller Patent Reveals Interesting Features

Ploppins

I love the prospect of playing without a TV! Not for all games, but the option of playing some strictly on the controller excites me. I go on vacation frequently with my family and the car rides can get dull. I have an adapter that turns the cigarette lighter into an AC outlet, so I'm able to keep my laptop charged up. We don't have a TV in our car, though, so being able to plug the console into the adapter and play right there on the controller sounds awesome!

Re: Nintendo Europe Offers New Way Into 3DS Ambassador Program

Ploppins

@21
Altough I don't have my original 3DS receipt on me, I'm not sure if that's possible. I needed to send my PS3 in for a repair last summer and they required a proof of purchase. My receipt from Gamestop had my system's serial number on it so that they could match the system to the receipt. Now again, this was for my PS3, but I wouldn't be surprised if all console receipts included the console's serial number.

Re: FAQ: Nintendo Ambassador Program and Free eShop Games

Ploppins

Although I highly doubt it, I hope that they allow multiplayer in the GBA games. The GBA Link Cable (obviously) won't work on the 3DS, but it'd still like to play some of the multiplayer ones with my friends!! That would reeeeeally be awesome if they incorporated that feature, but again, I highly doubt they will =/

Re: Pachter Thinks Nintendo has Superior First-Party Software

Ploppins

#1, you said it perfectly lol isn't it pretty obvious that Nintendo has the best first-party software? Sure, Uncharted is great, and I cannot WAIT for it to come out, but how can you possibly compete with Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, Kid Icarus, Star Fox, Luigi's Mansion, and more? Nintendo wins first-party, hands down, every time.

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th July 2011 (North America)

Ploppins

There's a free trial with Netflix, woo hoo! Except... I can't get it to work =/ whenever I enter the promo code on their website, it says that it is either incorrect or it has already been used. Has anyone else given the free trial a try? I tried to contact Netflix but the only contact option is through the telephone and I'm too lazy lol

Re: The Thought of a Shooter-Only Future Makes Iwata Sad

Ploppins

One thing that really irks me, brought to mind by GuardianAcorn's post, is how complaint is put into the Call of Duty franchise and how it is the same game over and over again. While I do agree that the games are similar, they really are new games. The real culprit of rehashing old games and releasing them as new is EA. I mean come on. Madden. That game is the same every single year. The differences between Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops are astronomical compared to the differences of Madden 09 and Madden 10.

That being said, I agree with Iwata. Although I enjoy Call of Duty and Uncharted and the likes, I would not enjoy video games if I was restricted to purchasing games only like those.

Just bring on an incredible online experience please!

Re: Iwata: "We Must Continue to Combat Negative 3D Rumours"

Ploppins

@MarioMan64

I love those! I have a book of the 3D pictures, "Magic Eye II," and Ive "trained" my eyes to be able to recognize those types of images and adjust to them in seconds. I even do it in regular day scenarios when i see repeated patterns just to see what it will look like, like my sheetmusic in band lol maybe thats why ive had no problem at all with the 3DS; ive been properly trained!
