Re: Talking Point: Life Without Wii U Achievements

Pawtrick

I like to set my own achievements or goals not ones the developer has given me. I actually turn off the achievement notifications because I feel they can really take you out of the experience for example if you are really immersed in a survival horror game like Deadspace.. that pop up cant totally kill the atmosphere or mood at a particular moment.

Re: E3 2012: Pikmin 3 Wii U Trailer is Plucky

Pawtrick

It makes completely no sense to me why this game is single player when there are clearly 4 main characters that they have shown. It makes me quite a bit worried about the Wii U's online capabilities. You and 3 of your friends clearing levels simultaneously online would be great fun. A big missed opportunity.

Re: E3 2012: Pre-E3 Nintendo Direct Round Up

Why no mention of cross game chat? It looks like the skype type calling is outside of game... being able to voice chat with a group of friends while playing an online multiplayer game is a key feature and if this is not included it will set the Wii U behind the competition. Did you see a plug-in for a headset on the controllers?

Re: A Boy and His Blob

Its a pretty good game so far.. something nice to play at a slow pace; play a few levels at a time.. the difficulty is starting to pick up!!

I got a Blob ball when I picked it up at EB games.

Re: Dead Space: Extraction

I never saw this coming.. but I just rented this game and for an on rails shooter wow its BAD!

I feel sorry for the people that have bought it. This game consists of way too many bad rail cinematics where you can't even shoot and you can't skip. On multiple occasions the rail movement will stop and there is no way to progress further so you have to restart the level. You will also see NPCs, enemies, objects and parts of the level load out of thin air. These gliches show me that there is a lack of polish to the game.

Like High Voltage Software with The Conduit, this developer tries too hard to make a "hardcore" game. They end up creating an outdated, none enjoyable experience, which ultimately shows that they fail to understand the Nintendo Wii and fail to take advantage of it's capabilities.

Not enough action, not enough polish, not scary, and overall not an enjoyable experience.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles > The House of the Dead: Overkill > Dead Space: Extraction

If you haven't spent any money on this interactive bad movie, don't, save it for RE: The Darkside Chronicles.

I just picked it up, some of the secret cars handle much nicer on the road.. dirt/ice.

Re: Power Up!

Power Up! Now can we get the "game collection" section in our profiles up and running?

Re: More Metroid Prime in the Pipeline?

Pawtrick

Yes I would agree with Metroid Prime Online Multiplayer for the next Nintendo console, it would be amazing ...like I said before I really enjoy playing Prime 2's multiplayer with 4 people.

Re: Golden Axe

Wow from that video the graphics, sound, and animations look better! ...but I buy VC games mainly for nostalgic reasons, and seeing how I never played this version I'll stick with the genesis version.

Re: Muramasa: The Demon Blade

I am 2 hours into the game, really enjoying it... it definitely has an Okami feel.
It is really cool to see the effects of all the different swords.

Re: The Revenge of Shinobi

Pawtrick

Ok quick question: Is there a better way to jump further? I loose a crazy amount of lives on the boat level trying to jump the last gap even using the jumping ninjutsu and double jumping...

Re: Toki Tori

Pawtrick

Wow the final world is kicking my ass, extremly difficult... first game in a long time I've had this much trouble beating... it hurts my BRAIN!

Re: The Revenge of Shinobi

Pawtrick

Holy sh*t I can't beat Godzilla! ...well I never made it past the first boss when I was a kid so this is a step in the right direction...

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy

Pawtrick

**Update** So I traded in my old Prime games and bought the Trilogy, and yes it has the multiplayer from Prime 2. Still weird that on the box it says number of players "1"...

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy

Pawtrick

Still says amount of players "yet to be determined" on Nintendo.com... could either mean no multiplayer, or online multiplayer? (I can dream).

Re: Konami Announces WiiWare Plans for Europe

@cr00mz
Bomberman Blast was 8 players as well, that was a blast at parties. Just have your friends bring their controllers. A simple game like Driift looks like it would be great at parties for both the casual and veteran gamers.
