People can defend Palworld all they like, but the worst part about that game isn't its contents, but the effect it's having on the game industry
You're not going to see many new, original, exciting twists on existing formulas any more. You're getting composited slop like this. Ripoffs of ripoffs instead of loving tributes. That's what you support when you cynically buy Palworld because nintendobad.
This movie is going to speedrun itself, that much I can be sure of. There are so many elements in this poster that will receive only a few seconds of screen time at most, but I'm trying not to think about it.
All review scores tend to be very... zeitgeist-y. X+Y were mediocre games, but that time was a GREAT time to be playing Pokemon. At my high school, most people with 3DSes carried them around. There were a lot of local battles and trades, and Streetpass encouraged it. I wonder if the community building it clearly had potential for influenced the score.
Good luck to them and their venture, however... They're in Serebii space now. The easiest thing to do to be better than Serebii is actually ensuring that the information is 100% accurate, so there's a starting point!
If I had to guess, you'll be able to wash Finn and Jake's treehouse, the Ice King's lair, Marceline's house, Candy Kingdom Castle... And it would be pretty funny if Fire Kingdom was one of them too.
This is that game that was outsold by Kirby Air Riders, despite people claiming that no one would buy the latter game. Did anybody want Prime 4, or just the idea of Prime 4?
I'm the biggest Kirby fan out there and I can tell you this... Kirby and Donkey Kong (a character with extremely overestimated popularity and relevance) are not enough to truly make the system explode. Metroid Prime 4 is already even less of a footnote than those two. Switch 2 needs its 3D Mario yesterday.
"Too much color is childish/black is mature" is a breathtakingly insane take to me, to be blunt. The Switch 2's accents are TOO understated to me, and colored buttons would have done a lot for them. I would like bolder options from Nintendo. Given the mixed audience of the Switch 2, it can be done. They don't even have to be like solid block color Switch 1 neon joycons, because they can have secondary accents. Green base plastic/red accents would go hard.
Anyone who seriously wants all games on all consoles is pro-gaming homogenization and kind of my enemy. Nintendo is the only company to have avoided most of the pitfalls of the new era, while Sony and Microsoft hopped on all of those "fresh" new trends lately and alienated their market when they didn't pan out. Xbox is essentially a dead brand being merged with the PC to salvage it, at the ultimate cost: the obliteration of any and all unique identity.
4/10 means "barely functional game" to most people... Air Riders works just fine. Yeah, Metro went into this offended that Air Riders is a spinoff that exists
...If we can make companions silent with subtitles, that will be fine. I've never, ever begged for full voice acting in games because it's usually a mistake.
This design is... okay, except the fact that the eyes are all wrong. Well, "wrong"? Presumably, in the next movie, Mario will be the one raising Yoshi instead of the other way around. If that's the case, the infantile look sort of works. I just inherently associate Yoshis with maturity/responsibility because of Yoshi's Island, which works very well with the relaxed heavy eyelids of the usual design.
Though, it will be a major missed opportunity if we never get a flashback scene that references Yoshi's Island.
As happy as I am for Sonic getting his rings back together... I'm completely racer'd out with MKW and Air Riders (And I still have MK8D!) Crossovers and characters yapping at each other just isn't as appealing as a spoonful of pure 100% Kirby.
Fingers crossed that we'll get a Kirby movie... Unfortunately, I don't think Metroid will get a movie before Splatoon, Animal Crossing, or the first mentioned IP. Metroid is talked about a lot, but isn't actually popular by the numbers.
Digital TCG is utterly worthless and fleeting. You won't own these shiny phone pictures in ten years, but I have my actual cards from twenty years ago.
Please don't support this and continue to normalize gacha.
There's a lot of weirdly misplaced grouchy negativity in the comments, when the blunt truth is clear to me. Sakurai and the developers of Kirby Air Riders REALLY care about and are confident about what they have to offer. I'm also pretty sure that MP4 isn't being shown off because it's currently underbaked and confidence in it has yet to surface.
Honestly, I'm pretty alright without every character in every modern video game trying to yap at me. However, it struck me as unusual that they didn't even get voice actors for the /cutscenes/ for the Switch games. That's would be the happy medium for me.
Take a shot for every game that would be better if it didn't insist on chaining itself to strict soulslike-like mechanics. Silksong isn't a bad game in its current state by any means, it's amazing, the problem is that the devs are starting to show the sin of pride. My prediction is that they will, in fact, fold and offer other difficulty settings, including an easier mode. But they will feature an even HARDER mode most prominently.

@Mighty_Zoltan This doesn't really work since "bruv" is said by space cadets.
Re: "We Can All Exist At The Same Time" - Zelda Voice Actor Rejects The Need To Pass The Torch
I am really sick of the whole "posh because fantasy" trope... I hope to hear a more down-to-earth sounding Zelda next time around.

Cool game, but if you care about human decency, DO NOT JOIN ANY COMMUNITY REVOLVING AROUND IT.

@Novuscourvous
Dude I'm sorry but he sounds like a YouTuber in a le epic funny Mario meme video from 2016
Re: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Introduces The Voices Of Yoshi, Wart, And The Honey Queen
I'll say it again... the biggest mistake this film series ever made was casting Chris Pratt as Mario.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pokémon Pokopia?
I will not, as it's not really in a genre of game I'm interested in... Wake me up when they release another pinball game.

@Ironcore
World of Warcraft. I've been playing since 2004. Yep.
Re: Pokémon Winds & Waves Announced For Switch 2, Launching Next Year
Yeah, it's pretty clear than they were able to admit to themselves that ScarVi was underbaked... Cheers to Hoenn 2.0.

This game looks like an AMAZING accomplishment... One that I will never play. Tragically, I already have my chosen timesink-style game.
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite 3DS Model?
I have an original 3DS XL, and it's still in great shape... never got around to upgrading to New 3DS.
