Re: Rumour: New Leak May Explain Why So Many Switch 2 Physicals Are Game Key Cards

Oneironaut0

I may be stating (or restating) the obvious here, but the worst aspect of key cards is the inevitability that they won't last. Buying one would not mean owning the game, it would mean getting to use it for roughly maybe 10-15 yrs or so until the distributor decides it's too expensive to maintain the server where it's stored.

Re: Switch System Update 19.0.0 Is Apparently Causing Some Issues

@TopazLink
Yeah, mine has appeared to be draining much more quickly than usual in handheld mode the past few weeks, but after I disabled sleep mode I realized I could keep playing with it showing 1% battery left for another 2-3 hrs! So, seems like a software issue rather than the physical battery itself.

Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?

Oneironaut0

The name they go with will depend on whether or not it's iterative step or a generational leap....

So if it's iterative I think it could likely be new or Super-, -2, etc.

If it's a generational leap, then the name would likely be indicative of whatever new functionality the hardware includes... for example if they added 3D functionality (lol) then it'd be Switch 3D, etc.

Re: Soapbox: The Switch Online Expansion Pack Is Great Value – If You Love Animal Crossing

Personally, I'm not sure there's enough info available yet for me to fully understand the value of each option.

I currently have a NSO family plan, as well as 3 family members (plus myself) who play AC on one switch and we all want the new DLC. If I just buy the DLC outright will all 4 of us be able to each have our own HHP archipelago?? Or will we be crammed together arguing over how to decorate each public bldg (school, hospital, etc)?

Only thing close is a blurb in the fine print on the official HHP game page that says "Additional games, systems and/or accessories may be required for multiplayer mode; sold separately."

Re: Animal Crossing's Happy Home Paradise Update Will Be The Game's "First And Only Paid DLC"

Oneironaut0

I haven't seen anyone, fans, reporters, or Nintendo themselves specify or question how multiplayer on one system might work (if at all).

Only thing close is a blurb in the fine print on the official game page that says "Additional games, systems and/or accessories may be required for multiplayer mode; sold separately."

I'm really hoping each player on our original acnh island gets the option to manage our own unique "paradise" rather than having only one school, hospital, whatever to divvy up among us all....

Re: Talking Point: Are There Too Many Harvest Moon-Likes On The Market?

Oneironaut0

Yes, it is exciting and great to have options. Means there's more to sift through, but also a greater chance of there being something good in the pile.
Personally, I'm looking forward to One Lonely Outpost which passed it's goal on Kickstarter. Looks pretty much like a "Stardewbut" space, but the art/aesthetic are solid, and even if gameplay comes up a little short of Stardew that might be enough to keep my attention.
