@somnambulance I think with digital it will as on Steam more people bought the Ultimate edition for the early access and consoles likely followed that trend from big DB fans.
Games are estimated for March 2025 so with the standard kickstarted delay it will be December 2026 when they actually launch so a Switch 2 will be knocking around by then. I think we will be getting the new hardware in 2024.
@oatmaster @nessisonett It's value based if your order is under £135 you pay tax when you buy the goods with no customs to pay. So if you keep orders from the EU at 150 euro or below there will be no customs to pay.
@sanderev If they split 1.5 and 2.5 releases they would probably fit on a 8GB cartridge each with compression the Darksiders games were 25-38GB on other platforms and released on 8GB and 16GB carts respectively.
@bozz The Switch will be 5.5 years old when this is scheduled to release and with the usual 1 year so so delay for kickstarter games we would be looking at late 2023 or 2024 for this to release meaning the Switch would be at the end of a generation at 6.5-7 years old. I'd imagine Switch 2 would be out sometime between March 2023 and March 2024 if I had to guess so if that's the case they will cancel and go to the new hardware is what they are saying.
They have to say that in order to make profit and sell the 3DS and Pokemon over the holidays then on 12th January they officially say it's a console and handheld successor.
Day one and launch window buyers are going to be core Nintendo fans so a March launch doesn't really make any difference imo, They can then build up the library over the year leading into the next holidays with a strong library of games with a few new big hitters launching Oct/Nov when people who own other consoles may be more likely to be looking for some new hardware as the X1/PS4 turns 4 along with bringing parents in and people buying it as gifts in general.
