Re: Feature: From Piston Hurricane To Today: Why Latinx In Gaming Exists

Myox77

I will echo the comments above and request to please stop calling us “Latinx.” It is downright offensive and not at all inclusive in the way you think. If you really need a neutral term just say “Latin” or something. Our language is gendered and we don’t really appreciate English speakers forcing a term down our throats.

Re: Don't Worry, Splatoon 3 Will Have All "Basic Weapons" From The Previous Games

Myox77

Those of you saying that Splatoon 3 could just be updates to 2 obviously haven’t played the game seriously enough to where you can see how certain things have no fix anymore.

The current status of the game overwhelmingly favors bomb and special spam, which also leads to bad habits like sploosh players who paint useless turf and poop missiles. Most of the specials themselves are poorly designed or suck (splashdown, baller) or are boring/have little player agency (missiles, armor).

A lot of maps have serious issues, like being cramped, too narrow, few ways to get out of spawn, and/or modes that are almost unplayable on them.

Splatoon 3 seems to fix a good number of things, such as interesting specials that require more than a button push to push (heh) for free, better maps (though they’ll probably bring back Moray Towers, again…), and more movement options that might not have worked as well with the current maps in 2.

@invictus4000 not to defend the Nintendo online service, but in this case, all you had to do was go into a normal match and have your cousin join you via the friend option in-game. I did this with my gf (granted we spoke over the phone and not using the app) and it was not complicated at all.

Re: Nintendo Switch's Joy-Con Disconnection Woes Could Be Hardware-Related

@manu0 Both my sister and I got Switches at launch. We were playing Zelda, Snipperclips, and Shovel Knight with my joy-cons, and mine (left one) kept giving me trouble. I paired my sister's with my console and guess what... problem solved.

I couldn't play anywhere further than 3 ft. with mine, and hers reached all the way to the counter behind the kitchen (12-15 ft. away). Called Nintendo and put a repair order. People aren't making this stuff up.

Re: Mario History: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! - 2003

Myox77

Double Dash is definitely one of my favorites. I never understood the appeal of MK 64, it felt clunky and uninspired at times (and that awful Toad Turnpike track).

DD felt a lot more tactical because of the special items and new vehicles. Some of the tracks were a lot of fun to play on (Daisy's Cruise, DK Mountain, Waluigi Stadium). I do wish we got more than 16 tracks though.

Oh, yeah, you can actually DODGE red and blue shells. I think this the one game in the series where the item balance was just right.
