@UltimateOtaku91 well this does possibly affect, you what happens if reselling stops for key-cards. It’s only a what if for now, but I do get the impression second hand reselling will come next after the majority of gamers (younger gen’s most likely) accept digital
@dew12333 ‘Game cards’ are digital.its just some software to try and fix the failing desire of digital only. So nintendo comes along and indoctrinates the new generation.
They (the publishers) would probably love a digital only realm. No manufacturing costs, significantly reduced resales and lending (game cards at least allow for lending games) very cool feature.
Nintendos game sharing is very cool overall but still i think its just a middle man to end at digital only and sony or microsoft don't have to go down this route so it doesn’t necessarily solve the lack of leading and sharing in digital only media.
I honestly believe only the intellectually challenged would want make the conscious choice to buy digital over physical.
The option for re-sale alone makes it the go to choice. Its a good fit on the shelf and its not just some digital entity this way, you physically own it.
The rog ally is not exactly pc gaming, it’s literally a handheld just like the switch just with the option to play every game except Nintendo. I’m starting to wonder if the price of the switch 2 is worth it just to play donkey Kong, Xenoblade, Mario or pokemon.
Seems like an underhanded but clever way to kill off second hand game reselling.
On the surface it’s a cool idea but when you consider the whole lending to a friend aspect etc it’s open, unexpected and allows sharing of digital products.
That said with he security feature and second hand carts braking console it’s seems like you could connect some dots and say the two are connected and Nintendo is promoting digital sharing while saying a protection sendhand cart could broke your machine don’t buy physical.
Probs not describe it well but it seems like a clever strategy to wean people of second hand physicals and close the gaps in digital media (unable to share etc)
Basically I like the features but think it’s all a little underhanded if they are killing off slowly physical reselling.
A deleted comment doesn’t mean they take it back or think they are wrong. It can possible mean they don’t want it to remain on a public platform after they feel time passed for it to me notice. I dunno the guy seems a little meh.
Do Nintendo just have a terrible security team or something. They seem quite lacking at the least. Maybe Nintendos litigation hammer pisses off some of the best black hats every generation lol.
I was like oh ***** I want to support this dev their great and Ori was fantastic. Go to steam oh wait it’s just another souls-like with hard bosses and dumb precision parry. Yeah I like fun not stress in my games thanks.
No wonder their going under catering to a niche arsehole audience that like to stress
@coleman83 sorry can’t agree I should pay more for a game just because I can buy game cheap on sales etc. plus this also seems like a you problem! I’m not complaining about having a selection of my own game to choose from.
Kind of put off because O started some affinity quest before chapter 4 which blocked me out from starting other main story missions.
The quest requires some random resource from the navimap thing which has taken about 4 hours to complete. Plus the resource is only available from 2 spots. The quest is fine just not so early in the game.
Wow, I always knew game was the last place to check for stock as games are always maximum rep there but this is a new low for a ‘legitimate’ big named company.
Seems even Game cannot retain the quality of its name in the day and age!! Damn!
@Manguy888A I doubt this is a modest success example and rather they have release 3 Xenoblade games on switch and know the fans cannot wait to try out X.
Seems like a no brained over a random act of willingness. Dont forget X’s low sale are due to the system (Wii u) rather than game quality, most Wii u games if realise first on switch would have sold very well.
Hey ever considered the possibility of you know numerous possibilities other than working to compress it further, for a small game size compression is hardly that complex. Besides why would they go off and further compress to reduce from 15 to 13.x
For me it seems more likely they put 15gb as a rounded figure provided by the devs, now closer to release and possibly with the game going gold (if it has) we now have an exact file size.
@Ironcore First I don’t think it’s Nintendos fault for waiting to announce their product. I think it’s the fault of people not doing the ‘right’ thing.
I say ‘right’ because it is only a leak of some hardware but still the official announcement seems little deflated on Nintendo’s part. Like ok the cats out of the bag here you go have a a weak reveal instead.
All that said I actually do agree it should have been announce around November , but I say that because I was expecting a December-March release. Meanwhile Nintendo wanted one last Xmas sale period.

Shame the game runs at 30fps on the switch 2.

I can’t decide.
Re: Video: So Just How Might These Third-Party Games Run On Switch 2?
@Pillowpants Every game you want to play can run on the ROG Ally providing you access to Steam, epic store, Xbox game pass.
At this point it’s worth wondering would you prefer Nintendo first parties or steam.

Nintendo exec be like ‘we will do limited work and zero innovation any criticism we can internally claim a sequel console was the fault’
Not knocking the machine itself more the limited games and the blatant copy and past mentality displayed in Zelda totk.
