@longtimegamer: Yes, I have played this piece of trash before. It was at my cousin's house. His friend gifted him the game (I feel so sorry for him... ), and I picked up the Wii remote and started playing the game. I stopped playing after five minutes. And OK, this game isn't bad enough to have no target audience, but it's hard for me to imagine what that target audience is.
If Gabbo reviews it, he'll most likely hand it a 7. Remember his little philosophy about comparing games to others in the series? And Pilotwings 64 is, after all, superior to the SNES original and an all-around better game.

This game is absolute garbage. It doesn't even appear to have a target audience! It reeks of half-@$$ed, and is dictated by randomization. WiiWare keeps getting overrun with MOAR and MOAR shovelware all the time, far outweighing the good games. All Nintendo cares about is the fact that they have third-party support, and as long as they make a good profit off of the game, that's all that matters to them. No one should ever, EVER buy this stupid piece of garbage.
I wouldn't bet on it Cheezy. It's Gameloft. Sure they make good games, but I'll be surprised if they don't butcher this with a bunch of crap (i.e. turn it into "Sexy Earthworm Jim" or something like that... )
Well, that dashes all hopes of seeing it on VC. Considering I've never played an Earthworm Jim game, I'll get the remake if Gameloft doesn't screw it up.
EDIT: OK, didn't read the whole article, it's already on VC. * facepalm * I'm not thinking straight. But Earthworm Jim 2 isn't on VC... is it?
Scratch that comment (which has now been deleted), Corbie (#4) is right. For several years we've had things come to us first, some of it not reaching EU at all: SMRPG, StarTropics 2, etc. (of course with the advent of Hanabi, they have all that now ) and even then, we're lucky to have the games run in 60hz without those ******* black borders!
We've been luckier than EU for years, looks like it's finally catching up to us @_@ Have fun Europe!
Yes, the Wii has failed on me before. In May 2008, the disc drive broke. (I think it had something to do with the Metroid Prime 3 copy that I rented from a local game renting store. I haven't rented a video game since ._.) Thankfully it was still under warranty, so I sent it to Nintendo to be fixed
@SuperSonic1990: They certainly have the potential, especially considering that a lot of people say that GSC was the peak of the Pokémon series. Now we can get it without those battery and save data problems, and enhanced graphics and sound to boot! They'd have to TRY to mess up HGSS if they didn't want them to be the best Pokémon games ever.
While I wouldn't be quick to call it the pinnacle of GB gaming (this or Pokémon?), this is a wonderfully crafted masterpiece that deserves nothing less than a 10. Great review as always, Corbie
"And by the way, a 7 is not a bad score. It's still a recommendation but with some warnings to take into consideration before deciding if this is the right purchase for you."
Well, I know it's not a bad score. But I still say it deserves an eight.
@SuperSonic1990: Ditto. This does make Mega Man look like a cakewalk, and yes it deserves an 8. Other than that, great review Spencer! I got a big nostalgic flood from finally playing it again after all these years... Wow. I'm only 13, but I feel old...

DO WANT.
Re: Review: Pop Plus: Solo (DSiWare)
Excellent review Adam.
Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (19th Aug)
Reel Fishing Challenge is way up there after all this time... >.<
And Sexy Poker at #4? I'm surprised it's not #1.
Also, good for NyxQuest for working its way up there!

Re: Wii "Most Reliable Console of This Generation"
@SanderEvers: Is that a frequent problem with the DS line of handhelds in general?

Re: New Dead Space Extraction Shots Shuffle Into The Light
No further comment is needed.
Also, I just noticed: Before any comments are added, it says, "No comments yet... why not be the first?" That practically encourages "first" posts...
Re: Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Pilotwings Out in Europe This Friday
^At least you have SSB64.
Re: Review: 3-2-1, Rattle Battle! (WiiWare)
@Adamant: =_= No need to be rude.
Re: Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Pilotwings Out in Europe This Friday
PILOTWINGS!
This can't get any better for Europe. Now get it over here in the US and I will be a happy man.
Re: Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Get Western Release Window
^No. Serebii sucks. Bulbagarden is better and you know it.

Re: Nintendo Download: Ninjas, Picture Books, Slot Cars, Sudoku and Guitars (US)
@Ricardo91: Maybe not, but they must have something against Revenge of Shinobi. Some people largely prefer the third Shinobi title.
Re: Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Get Western Release Window
@Adam: I don't know yet.
Re: Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Get Western Release Window
@Roopa132: Everyone remotely familiar with Pokémon knows that.
Re: Review: 3-2-1, Rattle Battle! (WiiWare)
sigh
Nintendo, does your seal of quality even mean anything now?
Re: Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Get Western Dates
Somewhere, Bahamut ZERO is loving this.
Re: Pop+ Solo Release Dates Announced
Nothing can be too awesome.
Re: Nintendo Download: Ninjas, Picture Books, Slot Cars, Sudoku and Guitars (US)
"Yay! No Star Wars release!"
Please tell me you're being sarcastic.
Re: The Revenge of Shinobi
@Pawtrick: Today.
Re: Nintendo Download: Ninjas, Picture Books, Slot Cars, Sudoku and Guitars (US)
W00T! We got Revenge of Shinobi this week! Everything else, pass.
Re: Review: Sujin Taisen Number Battles (DSiWare)
Would this be any good if the person playing it has no wifi, and uses a relative's wifi to download it?

But school starts this Wednesday for me
Re: Review: Phantasy Star (Virtual Console / Master System)
Never played a Phantasy Star game, but I will buy this when it hits NA.
The only other SMS game I've downloaded is Alex Kidd
Re: Review: Family Slot Car Racing (WiiWare)
Seriously. WiiWare would be called ShovelWare if it wasn't for the good games on it. NoA, this is unacceptable... FAIL, FAIL, FAIL!
Re: DS Emulator For iPhone Hits The App Store
^Ditto.
Re: Review: Flipnote Studio (DSiWare)
"And now you flippin' know."
grooooooooan
Anyway, great review Corbie!
Re: Review: Kid Dracula (Game Boy)
Never heard of this but it sounds good.
Re: Nintendo Download: Phantasy Star, Flipnote Studio, Sujin Taisen, Rattle Battle and Slot Car Racing (EU)
@Terranigma: Yeah, I take that comment back. The PAL region VC games (save TG16) run in 50hz and have those huge black borders.
Re: Fossil Fighters Comes to DS
My cousin wants this game. Is it any good? (If it is, I'll buy him a copy.)
Re: Top 20 DSiWare Games in USA (13th Aug)
And actually, I'm kind of glad there are no more seven jokes. It was funny at first, but I got pretty sick of it afterwards.
Re: Top 20 DSiWare Games in USA (13th Aug)
@Bahamut ZERO: Ugh, I don't. Knock-knock jokes are terrible.
Re: Nintendo Download: Phantasy Star, Flipnote Studio, Sujin Taisen, Rattle Battle and Slot Car Racing (EU)
@KDR_11k: Yeah, just like NA has a lot of VC to catch up on. Shinobi, Smash Bros., and now Phantasy Star!
Re: Review: Art Style: KUBOS (DSiWare)
Skip has pulled it off again with another brilliant Art Style!
Re: Flipnote Studio available for download in North America NOW!
Downloaded using my neighbors' wifi!
Re: Top 20 DSiWare Games in USA (13th Aug)
Thanks for the link Prosody.
Anyway, Flipnote at number 2. Why am I not surprised.
Re: The Portable SNES You've Always Wanted, But Can Never Have
Do want.
Re: Nintendo Download: Phantasy Star, Flipnote Studio, Sujin Taisen, Rattle Battle and Slot Car Racing (EU)
Anyway, as good update for Europeans. You guys finally got Flipnote and Phantasy Star! WiiWare looks very meh today.
Re: Nintendo Download: Phantasy Star, Flipnote Studio, Sujin Taisen, Rattle Battle and Slot Car Racing (EU)
@Wiiperson11: Wait, that's not allowed anymore? Dammit, I don't know how I could miss that.
Re: Nintendo Download: Phantasy Star, Flipnote Studio, Sujin Taisen, Rattle Battle and Slot Car Racing (EU)
@Wiiperson11: I think so.
Also, why was my post removed?
