And yes, I do care about the VC. I'm just being the optimist by remembering that it happened to Europe, then they got SSB. I'm just mad because I think some people need to take a chill pill.
At least it's good on the WiiWare front. Tales of Monkey Island and The Three Musketeers look very interesting.
@all of you complainers: I can't believe that out of all the games that are on VC, you can't find one that you will play. I've barely scratched the surface of all the classics on VC. I still haven't bought the likes of A Link to the Past and lots of other classics...
I can understand that you all want SMK, Yoshi's Island, EarthBound (it won't happen though), SSB, Star Fox, and lots of other AAA titles.
... This could actually mean something good. The same thing happened to Europe. Then they were hit with SSB. I still don't believe they'll kill the VC, but I predict a lot of bitching though.
@Mickeymac: I wonder what went through Sugimori's head when he designed Skymin. (Sky Forme Shaymin) Here you have an adorable little hedgehog, and with a Gracidea Flower it turns into that butt-ugly thing...
Nintendo, I will never EVER complain about VC again if you release this! (With SMK and EarthBound, but if only it were possible...)
Played it on the GBA, it is a masterpiece.
@Digiki: You'd cut four points off the score?! YOU sir must have VERY high standards for games. Either that, or low standards. Yoshi's Story is a very fun little gem, but you'd rather play it over this? You're not making any sense.
Wow... Reel Fishing Challenge is still up there. I told myself to never, EVER buy it since I hate most fishing games. But now I'm tempted to pick it up...
Also... when is My Shovelware Ranch getting kicked off the list? Come on...
You know why VC doesn't get much love? Because the majority of Nintendo's consumers are morons. They don't buy "old games from obsolete systems." Ninty's consumers are retards who, instead of buying good games like you'd find on VC, simply look for the next new thing. Keep in mind that these are the people who would buy a Mario App over MFC.
I'd take a black console over a white one any day, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's not like Ninty has denied stuff like this (such as the DS remodels) for that long...
@WolfRamHeart: LOL.
@Link79: Yeah, the purple Gamecube was such a bonehead move. Seriously, purple? WTF? That's why I got the black GC.
I agree with Gizmo, this doesn't really sound like a 1 review... The review makes it sound half-assed and unremarkable, not terrible. I didn't read anything about the game having unresponsive controls, sound that will make you wish you had earplugs, or terrible graphics. (It doesn't look that bad for NES standards). Games like this at least deserve a 2. It delivers what it promises. I agree with Adamant. How does utter turd like Volleyball and Baseball snag a 2?
@Pikamander2: And my faith in IGN's reviews continue to dwindle.
The score for the review (the NL one) is one point too low. The game's graphics are good. The music fits but is somewhat forgettable. The controls are excellent, and overall, the game satisfies on nearly all levels.
This is so sad. MFC and Pictobits fell off the chart in favor of a MASTER OF ILLUSION EXPRESS "game". Not to mention the damn Mario Apps are still high. And WarioWare: Snapped should have fallen of the chart a long time ago. A perfect example of a retarded moron or a four-year-old buying games from the DSi Shop: sees MFC "Oh, that game looks soooo boring just because I don't know who the f*** that is on the screen, it looks like such a terrible game the graphics suck I won't buy that." sees a Master of Illusion Express "Oh, a magic game! It looks sooooo fun and it looks like it will be a long game too and not a little minigame like Flip Champs. I'll buy it!" sees a Mario App "OMG, a calculator/clock with Mario in it! this is an awesome game. I'll buy it!" ...all done in a weird voice. But seriously. This is the kind of thing that bugs me to no end. And before someone asks, "Then why are you even viewing the list?", I'll say that I'm happy that M vs. DK 2: MMA and Asphalt 4 are still high.
And when, oh WHEN is My Shovelware Ranch getting off the list? It angers me to no end when people buy cheap cash-ins like this over actual GAMES. Nintendo can sell retarded crap to retarded people and stupid 4-year-olds... it's so sad.
"In short, this game is recommended only to parents who are tired of their kids asking for more Nintendo Points; buy them this game, and they will never ask you for points again."
LOL. Maybe we should have Chicken Brutus review all the shovelware games.
@iSonic, #40: Didn't you say that about Karate Phants, but you said elephants instead of tanks?
@SuperSonic1990 The Scoring Policy says that a 6/10 rated game is "a game that you shouldn't rush out and buy without doing your homework. While you'll want to approach this with a degree of caution, you may still really enjoy this game. A good example of a 6 is a lazy sequel or a game that doesn't innovate but doesn't do anything wrong. Other games with a 6 may be flawed in crucial areas."
I'll give this game a pass, but I've gotten some enjoyment out of 6/10 games (Sonic Unleashed and SimEarth, for instance)

Re: Interviews: Driift Mania - Konami
@Stevie: This isn't Konami's first WiiWare game. They've released Gradius ReBirth, Sandy Beach, Critter Round Up, and Ant Nation on WiiWare.
Re: Nintendo Download: Monkeys, Musketeers, Cards and Sudoku (US)
@Blaze: Which is why I think that complainers are being somewhat illogical.
Re: Review: Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 1 (WiiWare)
Good review, insta-download for me
Re: Nintendo Download: Monkeys, Musketeers, Cards and Sudoku (US)
@SuperSonic1990: I don't want Ninty to pull the plug on VC either. They still haven't released a bunch of AAA titles.
And now I'm going to knock it off because if it keeps up, it will turn into a flame war that no one wants to read.

Re: Podcast: Episode 6 - WayForward Interview!
And yes, A Boy and His Blob looks awesome.
Re: Podcast: Episode 6 - WayForward Interview!
Oic, thanks Corbie.
Anyway, I noticed that the article looked different. The first time it was posted, I could have sworn there was a little bar in there.
Re: Review: ColorZ (WiiWare)
Dammit, I was looking forward to this one being good, but it sounds like it would break my brain.
Re: Podcast: Episode 6 - WayForward Interview!
Why was my post removed? This is what I posted:
"What can I say... awesome.
FIRST POST W00T"
Why was it removed?
Re: Review: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (Super Nintendo)
^It is the greatest (2D) platformer ever. End of.
Re: Review: Guitar Hero Metallica (Wii)
@nintendo87: What The Fox said. Death Magnetic was good. St. Anger and Load sucked. Reload... meh...
@SSBFan1999: Remove your double post please.
Re: MUSHA
...I'm speechless.
I am completely speechless.
This game is one of the best shooters you'll ever play. Up there with Ikaruga and Star Parodier. Truly amazing. A must-buy!
Re: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Download this if you haven't already.
Re: Review: Kirby's Dream Land 3 (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
It is the "worst" Kirby along with 64, but it's still enjoyable. The score should be a 7/10 IMO.

Ugh, more mediocre Mystery Dungeon sh*t? I can't stand the PMD series.

Looks like a good game. See, last week's update wasn't the end of the world!
Re: Review: Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward (Wii)
x_x Can't third parties make anything good for the Wii?
Re: Nintendo Download: Art, Cards and Crystals Have Gamers Seeing Spots (US)
@pie4prez: Quit hoping. They already released everything. They don't release anything until the same time next week.
Re: Nintendo Download: Art, Cards and Crystals Have Gamers Seeing Spots
facepalm
Worst update this year. Save FFCC:MLAADL.

@warioswoods: Lol.
This certainly was unexpected. Wii remotes teaching CPR. Now I've seen everything.

@ATRUEZELDAFAN, #27: lol.
Re: Top 20 DSiWare Games in USA (16th July)
@Tony, #23: It shouldn't boggle your mind. Most of the people who buy anything from the DSi Shop are either retards or four-year-olds.
Re: Nintendo Download: MUSHA, Smash Table Tennis, My Life as a Darklord and Puzzle League (EU)
Alright! Awesome update in Euro land. MUSHA, FFCC: MLAADK, and Puzzle League... lucky bastards.

Though it's pleasing to see that Water Warfare is #3. Great game!
Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (15th July)
Reel Fishing Challenge... number ONE? Just... no.
And when, oh WHEN is My Shovelware Ranch getting off the list? It angers me to no end when people buy cheap cash-ins like this over actual GAMES. Nintendo can sell retarded crap to retarded people and stupid 4-year-olds... it's so sad.
Re: Fan-made Mother 3 Handbook Freely Available To Read
@Ricardo91: Yes, I bet that's it. They came with a retarded excuse not to release EarthBound on VC, right? Right.
Re: Review: Incoming! (WiiWare)
@Olimar_91: Well it is JV Games.
This game might as well be a prototype. Seriously, a static menu screen with "Incoming" being the only word? That is just half-assed.
Re: Review: Incoming! (WiiWare)
"In short, this game is recommended only to parents who are tired of their kids asking for more Nintendo Points; buy them this game, and they will never ask you for points again."

OUCH. That's WiiWare's third 1/10 and only one 10/10.
And congrats on your first review, Chicken Brutus!
Re: Fan-made Mother 3 Handbook Freely Available To Read
sigh... that saddens me deeply. That combined with the no EarthBound on VC thing.

@Chicken_Brutus, post #66: ...lol.
Re: Review: Karate Phants: Gloves of Glory (WiiWare)
@iSonic True that. Plus your avatar rocks.
