Came for the fanboys to cry about modding and emulation, was not disappointed.

@TheFrenchiestFry Never buy a multiplat on Switch, problem solved. Worked for me for the last 3 years

@TheFrenchiestFry I typically don't like when anyone buys a studio (outside of the studio about to go bankrupt and this is the only way they can be saved) because it locks multiplatform IPs and series to specific hardware. Even though the Microsoft/Bethesda deal won't have any impact on me as the games will come to PC as well, it locks out others on other platforms.

The reason I especially don't want Nintendo getting them would be the significant downgrade of X title due to Switch hardware.

Lets hope none of the hardware makers try snap up studios. Last thing I want is someone getting a hold of Atlus. Especially Nintendo.

@Cosats Nothing illegal about emulation as long as it doesn't use copyrighted code. Decades of lawsuits have proven this. That's why Dolphin and CEMU are untouchable.

Just like all those other games rendered useless because the games aren't complete on the game card.

@StevenG Must be some type of compromise for the screen size then, considering all high end OLEDs have no issues, including my current panasonic master set or people with the 2nd best current gaming tv, the LG CX. Which wouldn't transfer to something like a Switch replacement.

@StevenG Most OLED are considerably faster than even top end LCD. 0.1ms vs 1ms? It has nothing to do with why they're LCD. In fact most of them are OLED now, not LCD. Rift, Vive, OSVR, Helmet Vision, all OLED. The "smearing" is because most of the headsets refresh at 45hz per eye for most headsets. Well, not with the new ones being 100 or 120hz.

@TheFullAndy I have an old panasonic plasma as my secondary TV and always get a kick out of people commenting on how great it is to this day. So I'm right there with you.

@TheFullAndy Yes, all types of LCD (even TN) have slower response times than practically every type of xLED screen.

Which is one of the biggest factors during motion. That's why sports screens are OLED (or plasma if older).

@Kimyonaakuma It's not just that. You don't get the greyish black levels or washed out image of an LCD screen because of the persistant white backlight. The picture quality would be vastly superior to the Switch's current LCD.

@Zuljaras OLED (like the vastly superior vita screen compared to Switch) has that issue.

It's no surprise, the Switch LCD is bargin basement on a technological front. Which reflects the quality.

VG tech do great work (they're like DF but without the garbage opinions) so no reason to doubt the accuracy imo

Never removed the dock, so alwaya charging. It will "ruin the battery" but I've only played it outside the dock once when I got it at launch and it was attrocious so I'll never be doing that again anyway.

@GrailUK The full details on the Kickstarter page actually plan it for "next gen nintendo" where they say "we hope there is new Nintendo hardware available by then. If not, we'll try get it on Switch somehow. Bare minimum, it'll be on some Nintendo platform"
