Link is pretty popular among my (straight) female friends. He's got the looks of a pretty boy with the fierceness of a bad-ass. While I wouldn't be against a Linkle option, I get the feeling that Link does an unusually good job of appealing to just about everybody.
This bothers me as a female gamer. The first thing that bothers me about is that it implies that breasts are somehow inherently 'inappropriate' — something that needs to be censored. It says that the default selected size of breasts are 'appropriate' and anything else isn't — otherwise they'd let you change them, right?
The second thing is that breasts form a part of the female identity from puberty on-wards. By giving us an avatar and letting us customize it, they're asking us to project ourselves onto the avatar and invest in it. The game is a fantasy, but I guess I'd be perverted if I imagine myself as having larger breasts than in real life.
If we had to make some sort of concession on the issue, I think a better solution would have been to make the maximum chest size smaller. That's still problematic, though, because it still says those larger sizes are 'wrong'. I have friends with US DD and higher cup sizes, and they're not pornstars or perverts. Their genetics just decided that they needed a bunch of fatty tissue deposited in their breass.
I thought the presentation was great and the Yokai was cool, but I just felt like I would enjoy the demo WAY more if I was between the ages of 7 and 12. Makes me wonder if I'd enjoy Pokemon games if I hadn't of come into them as a kid?
Mario and Luigi: Partners in time had meme speak in it — leet speak, if I recall. 4th Gen Pokémon also tried inserting some popular phrases from the time like "for the win" and stuff. Is it the same translator?
Fun trivia fact: Nintendo actually programmed all of the R.O.B. units to rise up and take over the US but one faulty line of coding prevented it. Still, the NES was a big success for them.
While I consider myself both an artist and a romanticist, it was pretty obvious that Nintendo needed a business person in the captain's chair. Hopefully this guy can steer the ship straight.
How strange. I was just replaying the GBA Fire Emblems and thinking about how I never got around to Shadow Dragon. I guess Nintendo was reading my mind!
The core and the cells have to combine together to even form a Zygarde at 0% of it's maximum potential power. They're the building blocks of the lifeform, you could say. I assume that the "perfect' is a Zygarde battling at 100% of it's potential power.
So does Zygarde have forms for every 10% of power? If so, that's pretty epic. Strangely, I don't really care for any of his forms save for the 'blob' form. XD
I don't think it's wrong to expect Nintendo to act like a big time video game company; It was my impression that they were still a multi-million dollar corporation. How do smaller companies go through the localization process while making a profit, and why can't N do that? It may be that Nintendo has some massive financial bloat in it's localization process that needs to be trimmed down or it's general process reviewed.
I suppose the fellow is speaking freely and off the cuff, but he sounds like he's speaking for a five-guy indie dev team instead of Nintendo..

@Blathers That is the real heart of the matter.
Re: You Can't Alter The Chest Size Of Female Characters In The Western Version Of Xenoblade Chronicles X
@TsukiDeity This is probably one of the few times when feminists and perverts find themselves on the same side of an issue.

Re: This Is How Nintendo's First Smartphone Game Miitomo Will Work
I'm not sure it's a good idea to announce a mobile game so far ahead of it's release. Think of how fast copycat games come out. : (

This is pretty out of the blue. Cool, but so very random.

I would like to see the sun's anger rendered in high definition graphics.

I wouldn't be surprised if it made it to the NA eShop within about two/three months time - before XBX, certainly.
