Interesting read. Makes sense for it to be a slower pace, considering you can only look at one screen at a time. I wish they would have stuck with those rabbids like things even so though. I wanted to take them out for all of their over exposure.
I love the design. Makes it look really nice and high tech, though it is anything but high tech. No online is a real bummer for anyone maybe wanting it for Netflix as well, and no VC support is really just pointless to do. The redeeming factor in all of this is that Red Wii Remote and Nunchuck combo. I would want it just for that.
Possibly a rumor, but it makes sense from a marketing perspective. Though everyone probably has a Wii by now. Just have to wait and see on this one... and grab lots of salt.
I've only seen a couple of Wii U Basic sets around everywhere I've gone. To me that shows that it's pretty good on demand, for the Deluxe sets anyways. We'll just have to wait and see for now, but I was hoping for a larger number for that sale period.
As soon as I heard that you could operate it entirely from the gamepad, I knew something like this could be possible. I myself have already tried it, and it's not that difficult to set up. Probably took me less than a minute, just plug in the power and done.
@MasterGraveheart I like the sound of that idea. Wouldn't be any different from the brothers or toads then if she didn't wear the dress. A sports outfit will do.
I can see why they didn't, but wouldn't mind if they made the characters have different abilities the next time around.
@Retro_on_theGo What about Bayonetta 2? I thought you wanted that.
Obviously I'm not going to jump to conclusions based on this. This system just came out. Give it time, I'm sure developers will get the small kinks worked out.
I've never been a fan of Tekken, until I played Street Fighter X Tekken. That was the perfect game to get me interested in the series, so I'll be picking this one up eventually. And you gotta love those Nintendo costumes.
I got mine updated at a friends place who had high speed wireless. I didn't even have to connect it to his television, and was simply done. It did have an error once before it finished, but went back to updating and everything is fine.
This guy is the best of the best. He was responsible for all the great games I have played in the past and continue to play to this day. All I can say is thank you, Miyamoto. And may you continue to make games for more years to come.
One must say though that I hope he has been training the young developers well there at Nintendo HQ. They are the people who must carry the torch once he's no longer there.
One single week left and I am stoked. Just found out as well that Toys R Us will be having a buy one get one 40% off on all Wii U games this Black Friday. I'm tempted to maybe try my luck to save a few bucks.
I'm not expecting anything from this. Most likely just touching up some Eshop coding and making sure everything works properly. Color me surprised though if I'm wrong.
Good that this news is circulating. I still believe it's still is only Rayman Legends that's available to play at the moment. Though at Target all they had was just the videos and no demos whatsoever. Still already have my system down for pre-order, but it was fun to test it out no less. Just picked up some accessories for it at Best Buy as well yesterday.
Sure, get a 360 if that's where your interests lie. But for me, my interest is with Nintendo, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I've got my PS3 as well to play some of these exclusives over the years, so I'm good. It's just some more PR talk to get fanboys onto each other again.
Loved this one. It fit pretty well with the games, while trying to put create it's own feel. Only downside is that I didn't like the UK voice actors as much as the US ones, but that's because I'm used to them.
Good review @KneehighPark.
And Welcome to NL @HuntheUniverse. Enjoy your stay.
This is sad news. I figured with X-men Destiny's flop that something like this was happening, but not that bad. Well, with shoddy work comes no job, and sadly it was mostly one guys fault.
Big thumbs up for this move. I love the idea of wandering down an Ilse without all of the gnarly and gruff things going on all over. A decent concept that helps to keep kids from that sort of thing is awesome in my book. And collectibles are a big plus on the side. I want some Pikmin plushies when Pikmin 3 comes out.
@Bezerker99 I noticed that myself. I don't know what for, except that some people had game breaking glitch problems. I myself had no problem whatsoever with the game, but I guess others did.
I got my sister the original game on the DS when it came out a couple years ago, and she rather enjoyed that one. I had this one on my radar for quite some time and was going to get it, but it's nice to see that it got a good score.
Well this was an unexpected thing to see. Wish I could hang around in front of a store for that long, but time and money would be lost for such a thing. I've got better things to do, though congratulations to him on going that long this time.
Communism is the name of the game, alright. The Government has no concern for the people in the country, only for the leaders. And that trickles down to Foxconns work ethics as well. They don't care how tired and worn out there workforce is, as long as they get the job done.
It's a sad state of affairs alright, but I don't see how I can do anything to stop it. There would have to be a massive boycotting in response to it, and I just can't see that happening. This doesn't change my decision to buy the console, but it does leave a sour taste in my mouth over it. I don't condone what Foxconn has done, and Nintendo should be held accountable to a certain extent, but I just can't change to not purchasing because of that. I just hope that someday it will change.
Sadly, we hardly ever think about this, but we really should. These kids are being pushed into this slave labor sort of mold, and they end up paying for it with their health. It's a situation that you are damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Now that is certainly appalling. And great job on summing it up @Shworange
I wouldn't mind trying to save up a bit more for any type of electronic device, if it meant that both kids and adults were treated fairly at these factories, or if they were produced somewhere else.
I haven't gotten this game yet (For review reasons) so this will be perfect for me. From what I heard, this plays more like a more dodgy Batman: Arkham City. I wouldn't really be interested in playing it if it wasn't for the Stan Lee pack being included.
Well this is no surprise. Mega Man already appeared dead before, but this puts another enormous nail in the coffin. As a Mega Man fan I am unimpressed. I have nothing against IOS games, but this is just insulting.
Don't forget it's other features Pachter, such as it's motion control, playing things exclusively on the controller screen with it's built in speakers, and it's panorama type viewing system.
But in all honesty, what he says could happen, but he's been wrong so many times that he can't be trusted.
This kind of stuff happens all the time. A system comes out with a low number of units, people spring on the chance to sell it for a big profit. Personally, I'd like to see that money come in, but I can't bring myself to do it in this sort of way.
I thought they learn't their lesson from last time. Should have probably spent the money used on making this game for a more worthy cause. I know it's all to make people think, but there are better ways to go about it.
I'm in no rush to get this one. I already got the 3D retail version before this was announced. I'll never say never, but for now I don't need another Cave Story game.
And find something else to do now Nicalis. We've been over saturated in this game. Not that it's a bad thing, but to much of a good thing can be bad.
Oh, Nintendo, why must you make me want to download a title for this? I easily passed on your coin barrage, but this maybe to much for me now. I'll probably get one of the big games, but I am not looking forward to getting retail games digitally.
Wayforward was making this? I never saw this game coming until now. Since it was them making it, I thought maybe it could have been like Thor was to me, surprisingly fun. Guess I'll have to pass.
@Bluewind098 I notice your new here, so welcome to Nintendolife! Have a nice stay.
I didn't even know about a redesigned PS3 until now. The Wii U appears to be on a healthy start with all of those preorders being made. And instead of Sony trying to cater to a particular audience by releasing a new system, they should focus there energy on not letting the PSVita fail. This shall be an interesting year for both Nintendo and Sony.

Re: Official Youtube App Launches On The Wii In North America
@Krimbatize I don't know... Good point though, guess we'll need to download it and see.
I for one see this as to little to late, though it is good for people who don't have access to a smartphone or computer.
Re: Review: Fallblox (3DS eShop)
What? It's already here. Great review, I think I may just wait on this one though until I have more money.
Re: Pokédex 3D Pro Tops 3DS eShop Chart in North America
If you want a good atmospheric physics puzzler game, get NightSky. One of the best games that I have personally played on the e-Shop.
I can see the appeal of Pokedex 3D Pro, but for that price they can keep it. $10 would have sounded much more reasonable to me.
Re: Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of Two Receives Collector's Edition Treatment On Wii
What? Why you no give me Wii U collectors edition?
Oh well, guess I'll have to decide which to get now. The decision was so much easier before...

Thank you Nintendo Power for your news coverage. You shall be missed.

Interesting... Looks like I'll be testing my Wii U's internet capabilities for a bit. Anything will be better than my cruddy Wii browser.

I must have one, but I'm willing to wait. The designs look pretty nice though. Maybe after Black Friday...
Re: Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney to Receive Director's Cut DLC
The DLC would just be a bonus, so I have no qualms with that. However, I want the game first before considering DLC.
Re: Nintendo Download: 1st November 2012 (North America)
This is good. After all the craziness of the last update, my wallet needs some breathing room.
And Ninja Gaiden next week is what I'm waiting for.

Re: Nintendo Download: 25th October 2012 (North America)
I got Liberation Maiden as soon as I knew it was available. Pretty fun so far like the review said.
As for the other titles I'll be picking up the Mutant Mud update as well as Marvel Pinball. And hopefully that NightSky one. It looks pretty fun.
Re: Nintendo Direct: Watch The North American Presentation Live
Aww... I missed the show... Oh well, time to read up.
Re: North American Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow
I want to see some... well, new stuff. And some info on other titles would be appreciated. I hope I'll be able to see it live tomorrow.
