Add to the fact that it says 1990-2013 Disney, and this most definitely is a Castle of Illusion remake. I can't wait to see more, cause that trailer was awesome!
@Raylax Though the look of this is obviously not what we are used to, I would have been willing to give it a chance. And with it being only an early test build, many things could have been vastly improved on with a bit of development time behind it.
As a guy with part Aussie, I find this not so surprising. When you look at the retail scene there, everything is usually more expensive in the first place. Though they have made some progress in recent years.
This sucks though, and Australia should try to rectify it.
This game is starting to become like an old wound that never goes away. Come on, SEGA, just say it's cancelled or whatever already so we can all move on.
Awesome news for sure. As someone who never played the original game, but loved the show back in the day, this is going to be a real treat. I hope it turns out even better than I think.
I really liked the demo. It gave me a real sense of what could possibly come, so this is going to be a soon buy for me. I just can't afford it straight away from all these games coming out. And then there are the games I'm working on too... I can't keep up. D:
I'm a big game collector (If you don't believe me, check my Backloggery. ), and I've always had a love for those boxed copies you can get on the shelf. Truth be told though, there are some advantages, especially for 3DS. Having them all on the system like the article said is much more convenient. But with convenience comes the cost of not being able to let a friend borrow it, or a sibling not being able to play it without having to let them use your console. (Which I hate to do, since I'm very conscientious about my handhelds.)
Then there are the added incentives with finding the physical game really cheap a year or more down the line, and the ability to trade in a rotten one. I'm just going to continue down the physical path for the most part now, until I can't anymore.
That commercial was awesome, just like the Luigi's Mansion one that showed up a little while ago. They really know how to make those commercials for the system. Hopefully this means some great Wii U ones once the major games from the Big N start coming out.
@SMEXIZELDAMAN I wish I could get a quarter for each person who says that.
Not the best numbers, but digital sales could also be what's affecting it, as well as major games coming out soon.
I've been with the series ever since I got the first one at Circuit City, and have waited anxiously for each subsequent one to reach our shores. When I finally am able to play this, it will be a very fond farewell to the Professor that taught me that a game with a great plot and puzzles sprinkled throughout can be fun.
At least we got something. (Albeit, I would still prefer getting the game on the February target date, but at least the bigwigs were merciful enough to do this.)
I'll still be picking it up whenever it comes out. Can't let this lovingly talented team that made the game have their efforts go to waste.
While I do enjoy cinematic games at times, it should never come at the expense of the gameplay. One of the things to Kid Icarus: Uprisings success, was how fun it was to play, while having a great plot to go with it that never felt unnecessary. As he said, it all meshed together.
Still want a sequel in some form or another though hopefully, but Smash Bros. will make up for it.
Surprisingly, Final Fantasy XIII. I just can't get enough of it for some reason at the moment, so that will occupy most of my time. I'll also slide in a little Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time most likely on the side as well.
This is not what I wanted to see when I woke up in the morning...
I wouldn't have a problem with it also releasing for the other systems, but to delay the Wii U version just because of that is unfair... But I guess that's life for ya. I'll still be picking this game up regardless for the console it was intended for, but this hurts nonetheless.
Now that is a thing of interest, though I'm glad they stayed true to the series. Fire Emblem on Mars would have been to much of a departure.
Also, even though I am a seasoned player, I won't be joining him in Lunatic Mode. As his development producer Tohru Narihiro said, "lunatic is beyond me".
@theblackdragon Indeed, you're right. I just wanted to give my experience with the past. But you're right, it's really not a confirmation on whether it does or not. Your welcome in anycase.
Glad to hear about the amount of save slots from someone in the know. Thanks Jon.
A good review Jon. Pretty much all the bases were covered, and it was interesting to read. I'll be getting this in do time, loved all the previous games in the series.
@theblackdragon It should have multiple slots. Every Fire Emblem game I've played that is portable has at least 2, so you should be fine in that regard. Hope you enjoy it.
I for one am extremely happy with this new initiative, especially since I'll have to pay a fee any was to play my previous purchases on my Wii U. Still think it's a silly idea, but I guess it's better than it could have been.
Ther is really just to much awesome to put into words from this direct. Release dates for some Wii U games (specifically Pikmin 3) should have been made known, but a very good lineup so far.
Just saw the trailer, and color me impressed. It's good to see that they are finally going with the 3D model route for this one with the leap in graphical capabilities. Also that they get released the same time is also a big step in the right direction for the series. Having that initial experience with multiple countries at the same time was totally unexpected.
Nice selection up for this week. I got an Eshop card for Christmas, so I may go with Fluidity, and last week's Crimson Shroud. I'll look into Mario and Megaman maybe when I have a 5 dollar code from my Wii U.
@THENAMESNORMAN Actually Sony's Playstation Network offers, in my opinion, the best digital incentive program on any games console. Not saying that we should all start complaining about Nintendo's effort, but just bear in mind that the competition has an overall better structured service than Nintendo's at the moment.
An ok showing. Would have wanted some release dates other than vague windows, but seeing the games in action looked great. Fire Emblem has been marked down on my calender.
Great review of the hardware, and exactly my thoughts on the system as well. It has crashed on me about 7 times since I got it after the update was installed. I hope that update to fix that comes sooner than later. Otherwise, a great new system, and being able to play games in bed is such a treat.
@bezerker99 lol I can only imagine what Sony will come up with in response to this.
As for the review, very spot on. I had my doubts on this one when I first saw it shown off at E3, but I'm happily surprised by just how much there is to do in this game. The solo attractions are deepre than I expected, and Multiplayer is a hoot. I still haven't even tried all the attractions yet, but I've found no attraction to be a dud.
Have this one, though I haven't gotten around to doing much of it. I'll need to get to this eventually, and looks like I made a good investment. Pretty solid review.
Ooo... I like the look of this. Been needing to upgrade my launch model with one of these, but have been waiting for just the right moment. I already have a Mario Kart 7 retail copy, so if it doesn't work I'll still have that. I'll wait till we get some kind of confirmation though.
You won't find me doing that with mine. Regardless, this is an interesting exercise to see how durable it is. I had no doubt though that it would past the test given Nintendo's track record on making lasting products.

Re: The Story of an Abandoned Mega Man FPS, Maverick Hunter, Emerges
I would have loved to have seen how this would have panned out. And with ex-Retro developers attached to this as well, this could have been a big hit.
Darn you Capcom.

Re: New "Luigi Code" To Provide a Fresh Take on Virtual Console Classics
Was this the reason the site was down?
But you guys almost got me... Then I realized again that it's April 1st over there, and the mainland States. Well played Thomas... Well played.
But if something like this did happen, it would be great!
Re: Citizens of Earth Prepares to Invade Wii U eShop
To far off to say either way on this one, though the idea sounds interesting. Anything that is somewhat like Earthbound should be good though.

@Joshers744 Indeed! A themepark by the fans, for the fans! We could all be hired for their own imagineering team...
Sigh... If only...

I'd love to see this happen!
@Joshers744 You weren't the only one it seems. Even I had ideas that I discussed with my brother a few years ago.
