I really enjoy these Zelda likes and they do scratch that itch but I always feel slightly let down whilst playing them. There's nothing about these games that elicit the same feeling of wonder and charm that makes Zelda special which in turn leaves these kinds of games feeling very lifeless if that makes sense? Not to discredit the amount of time and passion poured in to these titles ofc. I wonder if there are any inspired titles that I've missed that do conjure up those feelings though
Peak fiction finally arrives on the go! This game is a masterpiece. Those who haven't played this yet are in for a treat as this is one of Vanillaware's most standout titles in their already amazing library.
I urge anyone who hasn't tried TWEWY out already to take advantage of this trial if possible. It's such a unique game that has a special place in my heart. I recommend playing the game handheld and grabbing a stylus to make the experience more comfy. It's not a game for everyone due to it's distinctive combat system and the way the story is structured but when it clicks? It clicks. You'll have a blast.
This is so depressing. Hurts to see everyone buying into the NFT scam. I'm really hoping this is just a short lived trend that will blow over soon but maybe that's being too optimistic lol
Is Hermitage still releasing on the 9th this month then? I was looking around for it earlier on the UK eShop and it appears to be delayed until 28/10/21 now which is a bit of a let down. Was really looking forward to it.
I remember being so excited to get one of these back in the day thinking I could play flash games and watch YouTube on my DS Lite. Oh how disappointed I was :')
Started playing this tonight and woah, what a beautiful experience. Incredibly gorgeous world to explore and lots of stories to discover behind every nook and cranny. Another player exchanged candles with me and took my hand as we soared through the skies for a while until we had to depart with a hug. I'm not sure if the novelty will last but it's been a while since I've had such a wonderful experience with a multiplayer game.
@anoyonmus If Deadly Premonition 2 is anything to go by I'd much rather Swery & co take their time with this one. Let's hope The Good Life is worth the wait because it's looking to be quite the interesting adventure.
Nah. Too many games and such little time. Not that I don't get the itch to relive my childhood and replay OoT over and over but I'd much rather, with the limited time I have, enjoy a new experience.
Recently finished playing HP1 & HP2 on the GBC and of the two 1 definitely has aged the worse but even then I still had a great time with the game. There's a lot of love and genuine care for the IP in both games and it shows. Griptonite Games really did their homework. The only issue I had was how collecting most of the Wizards Cards boiled down to spamming A on every little thing on the map because for some reason they didn't figure out Treasure Chests existed in RPG's until 3 on the GBA. Oh yeah and the absolutely abysmal walking speeds ugh.
Oh god the loading times are going to be awful if they're anything like the PS4 version. Still a decent RPG with a really solid combat system though so may pick it up when it's on sale.
Absolutely insane how much support this game is still receiving! Not that I'm complaining mind you. Stardew Valley is the gift that keeps on giving and Eric Barone's tireless efforts constantly improving the game have not gone unnoticed. Super excited to delve back into the game when this update releases.
I'd be the first to admit I'm not much a fan of roguelikes myself but I decided to purchase this on a whim after the Direct due to being a fan of Supergiant's other titles. Needless to say I'm impressed and find myself quite addicted to Hades, ha. The game positively oozes with style, the writing is so good and the gameplay is fast, weighty and satisfying. I'm really glad I took the chance on it. The 10/10 score is well earned.
Playing more Spiritfarer as well as some more Yakuza 5 on the PS4. Spiritfarer is absolutely gorgeous and has a boatload (no pun intended) of charm. Definitely worth picking up if you haven't already.
This is heartbreaking. I'm one of the many who didn't watch Etika but I saw quite a few of his clips in the past and he always seemed like a genuinely cool and passionate dude. Mental health is absolutely no joke and it's very upsetting that it had to come to this.
Rest In Peace Etika.
The patch would have been perfect if they fixed the inventory lag. Still enjoying it though and the added QoL improvements help a lot - especially the new Game Speed which allows you to change how quick a day progresses.
Nice! Started playing this on the PS4 but I don't have much time to get on it these days so having it portable will be nice to jump in every now and again. Good call, Capcom.
Yikes. It's really not that big of a deal, is it? Granted, I don't follow tournaments or how they work but it seems like such a non-issue. Just unlock them beforehand...? Feels as if people just like to complain for the sake of it tbh. Don't blame the game or the developers when it doesn't cater to your audience in the first place.
I played this back on the Vita. Solid game but I never managed to beat the first boss and I grew too frustrated to carry on playing after 100+ runs lmao. Might give it another go at some point though.
Oh boy, here comes the Mobile = Automatically Bad crowd. I've been playing Dragalia Lost since launch and I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying it. The characters are charming and full of personality, the story is decent and the visuals are gorgeous. The music is also amazing too. I can understand why folks would be put off by the gacha system but this is by far the most generous game I've played on mobile in terms of the platinum currency they give away. The devs have been listening to feedback and are actively ensuring that the game is fair and balanced. In terms of characters you can legit play the entire game with 3 star adventurers and clear most of the content without 4/5 stars. Hell, I'd even go further and say that quite a few of 3 and 4 stars are a lot better than the higher tier of characters.
It's a grindy game, that's pretty much a given, but the amount of content that is available helps to alleviate that grind sometimes. Each and every character and dragon have their own stories that you can read when you level them up so you can learn more about their background and who they are which is fantastic - you're not just getting random heroes who are bland as sin and don't do anything but fight for you.
I understand and respect that mobile games are pretty lame and it's easy to write them off as money-grabbing wastes of time but credit where credit is due Cygames are doing something right with this one. I hope more people have a go at it without dismissing it as 'another mobile game'.

Cute. Love having more puzzle/adventure games on the Switch. Reckon I've gotta give all the RPG's and what not a rest.
