Re: Talking Point: Wii U and the Future of the Online Pass

I think Nintendo's method works better. Buy the game new so you can register it in club nintendo and get free stuff. EA could do something like that, instead of locking the multiplayer they could add stuff like general pre-order bonuses.
The 25 different pre-order bonuses per game I'm guessing will be another talking point in the future.

online pass is pure greed. in order to buy a game used, it had to be bought new and then sold. the publisher already made their money for the game. If you buy a dvd, you don't need to pay to rewatch it.
If they didn't want used sells to be an issue, make the games download only for full price for a few months and drop the price over time. Or they could all get together and buy up game stop and all the other guys.

Re: Talking Point: The Future of Pokémon

I'm kind of surprised to not hear MMO, all I really want in the next one is full open 3d worlds, I'm tired of sprites, and to be able to trade over all my pokemon from black quickly, as I do have one of each.
One more, high level wild pokemon. I hate getting to the high 80s and 90s and battling wild pokemon 400 times to level up once. Every RPG has that issue though.

how about a spin off where you play in a squad of galactic federation soldiers that are sent around the galaxy to take care of small space problems so samus isn't need to be called in? more of an fps in that universe that doesn't mess with the time line or established characters.

Re: Feature: The Future of Nintendo Gaming - 2D or Not 2D?

King_Boo

I don't want to play 2D games on home consoles, but handehelds are fine, do a world, put it down, come back later. I can't stand running and jumping for hours on end anymore, that's all I did in the mid 90s. New super mario bros. I've finished 100%, but the Wii game I just rushed through it with the cannon.

Re: Conduit 2

King_Boo

what happens to this game in split screen? I brought my wii over to my friend's place so he could try it and it was horrible. all detail was gone, or what little there was in the first place, It made us want to jump into a gamecube game. that'll teach me to be lazy a not bring to component cables, those seem to help some when I try split screen at home.

Re: Review: Conduit 2 (Wii)

King_Boo

I don't think the game was finished like HVS wanted, I assume they used up their budget, the main issue for me is the game was push back again and again and there seems to be no improvement from it. Maybe they should just take the frame work and start over.

Just wondering if you guys will be getting this game early for review? Should I expect a review the weekend before the launch or the week of?

Re: Why the 3DS Will Not Use an Achievement System

They aren't all bad, just kind of pointless, if you're the kind of person who likes to get 100% completion you're going to do it with or without them. Jett Rocket had a nice system of just listing them off once you finish a level, that solves one issue.
