Re: Talking Point: The Blurred Lines of "Collectables" and On-Disc DLC

KAHN

Q.) "It's cheap, off-the-shelf technology, and gamers are required to spend large amounts of money on these toys to get everything out of their game disc."

A.) Agreed. i haven't bought either Skylanders games, and i don't plan on buying Infinity, because i don't plan on spending $40 dollars just to slightly enhance my experience of a game that i paid $70 dollars on.

Q.) "Capcom got taken to the cleaners for relatively modest on-disc DLC. Are toys all it takes to make it all OK?"

A.) whether i will or won't put up with this, other people will. but, i think that people will eventually get tired of paying large sums of money for dolls to enhance their gaming experiences. they'll eventually realize, "am i really willing to pay this much for a video game?" and that's why i refuse to buy those games. i'm not willing to pay that much money on a virtual experience.

Re: Book Review: Sega Arcade Classics Volume 1

KAHN

well, thanks. because of this article, i'm expecting a review for the upcoming Hyrule Historia (anxiously awaiting my copy). as for the topic at hand, i guess i'll be picking this up some time in February.

Re: Fire Emblem: Awakening Features Both English And Japanese Voice Tracks

KAHN

i wasn't trying to be offensive myself (just heavy sarcasm), but i fear that might have, so i apologize. i played the demo earlier today, i think there is a such option, and i'm pretty sure most games are accompanied by those options anyway. i'm not sure if it's different outside the states, but whatever.

Re: Wii U Software Sales Are "Struggling"

KAHN

if ninty wants sales, they should either make better advertisements. anyone else notice that their commercials began to suck? remember when their commercials were better? remember those two guys playing wii at peoples' houses?
(here's that commercial)

i want more commercials like this! i remember seeing this when it was new and immediately wanting a wii.

Re: New Sonic Fan Film Receives Mixed Reception, But At Least Yuji Naka Likes It

KAHN

some of the acting was bad, some effects didn't look real (ex. when machines were chasing sonic, it looked more like they were gliding along the grass rather than RIDING, guns had no recoil, a single missile made a HUGE explosion on the ship, fire looked lame), CG Sonic looked like rubbish, was incredibly slow, and had a crappy voice actor

Re: The Big Wii U Survey

KAHN

@Ideal_Hero #42
very true. i've been thinking about all these new possibilities that i can do, that being something i've already thought of. i'll get around to them eventually...

Re: The Big Wii U Survey

KAHN

my sentence "i've mostly been playing this for the wii backwards compatibility..."
launch titles just dont interest me.

Re: 7000 Wii U Systems Stolen in Seattle

@Hyperstar96
you are a bro from this point on.
@Dogpigfish
1.) sell 6999 of the total for profits.
2.)play wii U!
@theblackdragon
you might be his next target. just act like you don't know anything.

Re: 7000 Wii U Systems Stolen in Seattle

KAHN

basic editions? they're practically useless compared to the deluxe edition! this article should be edited with the deluxe editions! or maybe they got both basic and deluxe? either way, this feels like such a tragedy! i hope the criminals are caught! i can only imagine how nintendo feels! they'll probably say something about it later this week.

Re: Nintendo Says The Play Limit On Demos Is Set By The Publishers

KAHN

demos need a play limit. you shouldn't have to play a demo 300 times to decide whether or not you want the game. also, with some games, the demo is pretty much what the rest of the game will be, so getting a demo is like buying the game for free. putting a play limit is alright with me.
