Re: Disney Infinity Developer Would Like to Include Star Wars And Marvel

IanMage

Maybe if Star Wars and Marvel had been part of Disney for a longer time, but it just seems awkward to include them right now; some people would be really confused, as Star Wars and Marvel really weren't part of the Disney canon. I still can't accept LucasArts and Marvel as Disney; they're completely separate from the Disney that I have known. Keep these characters out, please.

Re: Hardware Review: Wii U

IanMage

Seriously, the Wii U is the console that Nintendo should have released back in 2006, not the Wii. I absolutely love the Wii U.

Re: Watch: First US Wii U Advert Appears

IanMage

I thought the graphics at the end (all the blocks making a "U" formation) were pretty great, but they need to stop making it look so "casual." They need to show games like ZombiU, COD, etc. if they want it to appeal to everyone. When I saw that singing game... :I

Generally speaking, adverts need to stop showing people smiling so gayly; it looks so fake and stupid. But maybe that's just me...

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Digital Pricing

IanMage

I will only download a digital copy if it's a game that I would play often, at any time. For example, when SSB3D comes out (a long time from now), I will probably download it. But other than that, I'll stick with physical copies. I would probably have to buy a huge SD card if I went with the digital downloads...

Re: Bing Gordon: Nintendo's 'On Track' to Primarily Focus on Software

IanMage

I can't believe it's coming down to this. Nintendo, the leading innovators that made the most iconic videogame franchises of all time, becoming a software-only company? People are always saying that Nintendo makes great games and that's what's most important, but the games are only great if they run on the consoles that Nintendo made for them. I would never want to play Mario or Zelda on a Sony, Apple, or Microsoft platform; that would feel like a downgrade to me...

Re: Reaction: Your Opinions on Nintendo's E3 Conference

IanMage

They were given the favor of not having Sony or Microsoft reveal their new systems at E3. They could have used this opportunity to blow away audiences, but they choose to waste that opportunity on showing very few new content and disappointing us. Horrible move.

Re: Peter Molyneux Wants More From 'Lacklustre Wii U'

IanMage

"The real challenge is how the players are going to adapt to the mounting pressure of Facebook, Apple, Social, Cloud, Multi-Gaming."
I find this funny.
But he does have a point when he speaks about the need of more core games rather than casual. Nintendo needs to hook the audience with the Wii U. Considering that the Xbox720 and PS4 will not be unveiled at E3, this is a good opportunity for Nintendo to do so. If the Wii U appears as a casual system like the Wii, then Nintendo is simply giving Microsoft and Sony another chance to steal the core gamers...

Re: Sakurai Won't Make a Kid Icarus: Uprising Sequel

IanMage

He's only saying that there won't be a sequel to Uprising. There's still a good chance that we'll see Pit in a game that doesn't use the same mechanics as Uprising. Many people would like to see a sidescroller Kid Icarus, which is very different from Uprising and probably wouldn't be as difficult to make. There's still hope.

Re: Miyamoto to Show Wii U Mario at E3

IanMage

Just so you all know, I was the first person to bring up the "Super Mario Universe" idea. When I did, everyone mocked me and thought it was stupid; now it's all believable. So... when they reveal "Super Mario Universe," I'm hoping for some respect.

Re: Vigil Games: "Wii U On Par with Current-Gen Consoles"

IanMage

I heard from Nintendo3DStv that some developers aren't even able to make 1080p games for the Wii U and that the system only SUPPORTS 1080p... What the hell? I don't understand why some developers are in complete awe by the system and others are unimpressed.
