@DTFaux That's precisely my point: it won't translate to a 50% drop-off because consumers do not care. They don't live on these websites.
Absolutely everyone I know uses AI and is thankful for it. They grab their phones, verbalize a question and that's it. Convenience. Basic tool usage. They don't realize it's harmful.
Also, it's absolutely baffling that this poll is this close to a 50-50 on a site like this. Where are the mass boycotts? Even the comments are all over the place...
@DTFaux Consumer leverage would assume that the average consumer actually cares. Look at that poll. Nearly 50% are ok with the use of AI in some capacity. This is Nintendo LIFE...
@Nitwit13 They could use something like Ecosia. Still supports AI, but it's not shoved down your throat. Also slightly more eco-friendly.
@Nitwit13 I'm pretty sure Brave also gives you an option to disable AI summaries, but you're still supporting a company that invests in it. Same with Duck AI.
This is the kind of thing I love to see. They even avoided calling it "easy." Temporal, Anvil (intended difficulty) and Forged. They all sound awesome.
@MattmanForever I'm not disagreeing with that. What I'm saying is that, given the sorry state of this port, a stable framerate would've been better because an unstable one is 100% unimmersive.
@Doctor-Moo Thanks, that sounds pretty good. A lot of these retro-inspired indie games are absolutely brutal, and after finishing Guacamelee I've come to the conclusion that I'm officially old.
@MattmanForever To be fair, we asked for this. We wanted 60 FPS at any cost and that is precisely what we got. It's a lazy port. Should've just taken the stable 30...
@FrenchVaniIIuxe "Super man lost at minimum $85 million dollars."
It's funny because Bloomberg said the exact opposite.
Not saying you're wrong, just find it hilarious that one says it lost around 85 million and the other says that it gained around the same value (100).

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Online Director Reportedly Hints At Nintendo Release
@KimBread Sadly no, it is not turn-based. It's more like World of Warcraft and less like Dofus.
I still liked it, though. Requires quite a bit of skill.
Re: Feature: Farewell, Nintendo Switch - It's Finally Time To Bid Our Old Friend 'Adieu'
I would replace my Switch Lite, but... there is no Lite 2.
Re: The Danganronpa Series Has Now Sold Over 10 Million Copies
I've only played the first one but it was a great game.
Re: 137 Switch 1 & 2 Games You Should Check Out In The 'Hits For The Holidays' Nintendo eShop Sale (US)
A lot of these seem (more than) great, but the Nintendo tax is so strong that I end getting them on my Xbox instead.
Re: Censored Dispatch Artwork Spotted On Nintendo's Digital Storefront
@Vyacheslav333 That's ridiculous. Guess I won't be buying the first one for the Switch after all...
Re: Censored Dispatch Artwork Spotted On Nintendo's Digital Storefront
@Vyacheslav333 Wait, they banned Corpse Party? It's still on my wishlist.
Re: Censored Dispatch Artwork Spotted On Nintendo's Digital Storefront
If this were a manga website, they would be praised for removing all the "fanservice."
Luckily... it's not.

@Nep-Nep-Freak Good luck escaping the AI bubble though. It's somehow harder than escaping the Chromium one.

If it was just another tool to help the artists I think I'd be fine with it, but I really don't think that's what's going on right now...

Re: Switch 2's Mario Kart World Bundle Has Apparently Reached The End Of Its Lifecycle
Still waiting for a bundle I'd actually care about.

How hard is this game? I have a feeling it's nowhere near as easy as The Minish Cap...
Re: Reminder: It's Time To Rate Your Switch 1 & 2 Games Of The Year
Another vote for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. What an amazing game.

Re: Bethesda Releases Skyrim Switch 2 Patch Addressing Input Latency Issues
@OmnitronVariant That makes perfect sense. 30 to 60 is very noticeable (to me), but I can deal with it. I just can't deal with input lag.
@N8tiveT3ch I guess it just works... faster.
Re: Bethesda Releases Skyrim Switch 2 Patch Addressing Input Latency Issues
@OmnitronVariant If it's no longer an engine limitation I have no clue why it's capped at 30 then. I assumed that was it.
Re: Bethesda Releases Skyrim Switch 2 Patch Addressing Input Latency Issues
@N8tiveT3ch The last time I played Skyrim at 60 FPS it completely broke the physics. Objects would fly everywhere.
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Reviews Skyrim On Switch 2, And Yeah, It's Bad
I remember forcing 60 FPS while playing on PC and it completely broke the physics.
Is that what's happening here, or just pure incompetence?
