I'm willing to give this a shot now. Capcom's putting effort into it, and so will I. This is almost unprecedented support for a localisation, I hope Square-Enix is watching.
It's a fun game but I disagree that the controls are "tight". The 3DS nub doesn't feel precise or consistent enough for some of these maneuvers (at least on my worn-out regular 3DS, not sure how the XL one holds up). Touch screen controls would have helped a lot with precision.
Some of the environments are amazing though, one level gave me Mario Galaxy vibes.
I don't see how this is even playable without the pointer. Whatever, the game needs more press so they can make a Wii U sequel. Conduit 2 was amazing and that ending MUST be continued.
Conduit has always just been Halo with good controls. Nothing special conceptually but incredibly fun.
So now retailers can't do their jobs either. Right after Nintendo's done publishing Square-Enix's games, advertising Ubisoft's promises and fixing Team Ninja's next game, they'll get right on this I'm sure.
Nintendo Land is a big game and probably will be the big Wii U game for it's entire lifespan, it's so damn amazing. More people are slowly playing it each day but it'll just take time for it to be seen. I also think when PS4 and X720 are shown Wii U will look much better in comparison when the reality of the "next-gen dream" comes crashing down.
For now, they'll have to push Rayma- oh I mean Lego City Stories and Monster Hunter.
Nintendo won't change a thing for Ubisoft after this. It's about time third parties were held accountable for their own actions, and Nintendo stopped trying to do all the work / publish their games. Hopefully it's a wake up call for Iwata, don't hold back.
You don't even need a flawless connection for a game like this, erv. Lag is fine when you're all doing independent things anyway. Why is it getting so hard for gamers to play together? With 8/12 different gaming systems in the midst and region locking on top, it's making gaming stupidly inaccessible. The odds of being able to play games with someone you meet are getting increasingly lower.
Wow, kind of amazing these guys are making better use of the GamePad than some of the big third parties. This is exactly why the industry needed Wii U.
The problem is the price-point. More expensive than Nano Assault Neo and nowhere near as good. Not saying it's a bad game but it's very poorly positioned.
Already love it on 3DS, so it'll need something great like pointer controls if I'm going to buy it again. RE4 had it, so it's not much of a stretch right?
This is the first kickstarter I've been interested in. The racing genre is dead and this is exactly what is needed to revive it, colours and fun without having to sign into 10 accounts and go through a 20 hour career mode.
The GamePad is a perfect wheel too, illustrated by Sonic Transformed!
Yeah, the problem is awareness. We need to smash it into peoples heads that videogames are an option for engaging stories (and the best option at that).
@MagicEmperor there are far more people who would avoid Call of Duty than an adventure game, think of the TV series watching 40 year old mother crowd. You can't only consider dudebro gamers here, the industry is much more than that.
Been playing escapeVektor all day, already one of my favourite 3DS games. It's 4 times bigger than the WiiWare one and looks incredible in 3D, i'm overwhelmed.
Far more interesting than a 10 year old platformer guys.
I'd sell my soul for FAST on Wii U. Then buy FAST and have a new, better soul.
Nano Assault Neo is an explosion of awesome and I can't wait for more. I'm so happy they're doing well, Shin'en are making some of the big developers look completely lost. The graphics engine was "easy", the game was finished in September and it still comes in at 50mb? Mother of god.
Forget the campaign, it's offensively bad. Broken ideas, generic dialogue, boring lifeless characters, uninspired scenarios, no structure whatsoever and half the time you're not even playing it. It's the worst campaign I've ever seen in an FPS.
Thankfully, multiplayer is AMAZING and pretty much the only reason you should be playing this game, even alone with bots. Multiplayer even has better graphics than single player, it looks smoother and sharper somehow. Wii Remote aiming + 60 FPS + HD = GOOD TIMES. It really is as good as I hoped it would be, though it took a bit of tweaking. It's amazing how many options this game has and I don't think the review is fair focusing on the campaign that nobody will even play.
It's not even worth debating these reviews; it's sabotage plain and simple. They don't want Wii U to get more of "these" games and are delusional enough to think they can influence sales. It's high-school bs, wah-wah it's too hard.
ZombiU is my GOTY, the best game on Wii U, and the best survival horror game I've played since Resident Evil Remake 10 years ago. Rock on, Ubisoft.
Honest review, more like lazy. You barely talked about the battle system and strategy, sounds like you didn't get past level 10. Complaining about how long it takes to enter a code is more proof you barely played it and wanted to rush the review. Such a shame.
@Knux you do realise the Wii U version of Sonic has extra game modes right? If you'd rather have trophies than that, then you're not a gamer. You act like you're above everyone else because you do things you don't enjoy. Guess what, there's plenty of that out in the real world - in real jobs that pay money. There's enough ways to not enjoy yourself without achievements.
Oh yeah, and I own a 360 and a PS3 and hate achievements, trophies are even worse. Nobody cares. Pulling the "balanced gamer" card just makes you look even more ridiculous. Sony's haphazard trophy system they patched into the system is just like everything else they've copied. Half-hearted and broken. Nintendo is bringing something new to the table with MiiVerse and we should all be grateful.
Thank god, this crap needs to end. Games should be guided by curiosity, not achievements or trophies. The reward for beating a level is seeing the next level.
@Wheels2050 you're misunderstanding. He said he learned about EVs and IVs online, a long time ago. Now with B/W 2, the game will be more direct about explaining them.
It's about time, too. EVs and IVs shouldn't be a big secret.
Hell yes, Conduit 2 is an incredible game. Despite its flaws the controls are still the best in any FPS to date, and the single player campaign is hilarious.
Wii U is a great opportunity for High Voltage, because we saw with Wii that bigger developers were too stupid to figure out how that "weird thing you point with" makes a good controller for SHOOTING. They know how to get the most out of hardware.
I wouldn't expect the Wii U version to look much different, this game isn't about the graphics. They're probably focused on making it run smoother and expanding some features, can't wait to see it.

Re: Nintendo Download: 7th March 2013 (Europe)
No Runner 2 until April, they really screwed that one up. Very excited about Nano Assault EX though, FINALLY!
Although, Shin'en said they had 2 games to release this week. Is this list final?
Re: Crytek: Crysis 3 Was "Very Close To Launching" On Wii U
Would have been nice with pointer controls. Even Far Cry Vengeance (Wii) was fun due to that.
Re: Capcom Seeks a Western "Breakthrough" With Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Re: Crytek: Crysis 3 Was "Very Close To Launching" On Wii U
Lots of devs speaking out about EA lately. Hope they get what's coming to them, we don't need scam artists in the gaming industry.

Re: UK Retailers Call For Wii U Price Cut And Fresh Approach From Nintendo
@SilverLightning PS3 bombed too though didn't it? People forget crap launches pretty fast.
Re: UK Retailers Call For Wii U Price Cut And Fresh Approach From Nintendo
ZombiU was the perfect game for the UK market but crap journalism got in the way.

Re: Wii U Resident Evil: Revelations Will Not Support Wii Remote and Nunchuk
Another game I don't have to buy anymore, without proper aiming it's the same as the 3DS version.
Re: Tiger Woods Is Skipping The Wii U This Year
Golf clearly must be played with a traditional controller in a cramped position. For the gamers, EA.
Re: Chances Of Strike Suit Zero Wii U Port Jettisoned Into Deep Space

Oh well, another game I don't have to buy now.
Re: ZombiU Developer Announces A Patch Is On The Way
I've played through the entire game 3 times and not seen any bugs except a zombie who got his head stuck in the wall. Made for a fun batting.
I'm hoping the patch adds something new since I never fell into the "game-breaking" traps which honestly seem self-inflicted half the time.
@TreesenHauser you do know the red dots don't mean zombie right? Red dots show up for every living thing including birds and mice.

Re: Review: Blaster Master (3DS eShop / NES)
@Bass_X0 well it's not profitable if I end up getting neither version
Re: Review: Blaster Master (3DS eShop / NES)
Looks great, I want to buy it but it's really silly being for sale on BOTH WiiWare and 3DS. When's Nintendo going to link this stuff?
Re: "All The Bravest" Square Enix Trademark Was for iOS Game, Not Bravely Default Localisation
Square-Enix is probably waiting for Nintendo to offer to localize Bravely Default themselves. It'll never happen.

Re: The Conduit Looks Set for Nvidia's Project Shield
@duskao yeah, I have that game. The cursor sensitivity patch helped a lot but I can't quite get it feeling as smooth as Conduit 2.
Re: The Conduit Looks Set for Nvidia's Project Shield
Damn it. I was really hoping for Conduit 3 on Wii U, still the only FPS to get motion controls right.
Re: Review: Just Dance 4 (Wii U)
It's a surprisingly good game, I think it's one of the best uses of the Wii remote to date.

It's a fun game guys. Nobody cares if it's not AAA or Triple Tier or Multi Bloom. Kids can see through all the bullcrap and just wanna have fun.

@WiiLovePeace press L and R to scroll between World / Country / Friends.... it's pretty self-explanatory I think it even says that on the screen
