Oh wow does it look rough... Why even bothering releasing such a poor game. PS2 graphics, slow as hell, touch screen gameplay?????? Seriously, just release that as a £10 mobile game and that's it... The average Catain Tsubasa game already looks way better and play like a proper football game.
Still have to get the gold on all songs for Drum n' fun, Adventure 1 & 2, so still have a long way to go... Paid a total of £24 for these 3 games combined in sales, so there is no way that I would spend £35-40 for a single sequel with literally no new real feature or improvement on the existing formula. The "festival" theme is like just a wallpaper hiding 5 usual menus that already are present in all previous games. Tried the demo, and almost everything is identical to Drum n' fun (menus, animations, voiced quotes, etc...). And I am also pretty sure that some songs on the new playlist will be songs already present in one of these 3 previous games. So this is an easy pass for me until it get on sale for less than £10. And the subscriprion, well, they will never ever get any penny from me for that. I would have been fine paying even £60-70 for a full package with 500 songs, but not a subscription.
A piece of advice here: according to my experience, for anyone out there thinking about buying this game in order to play it with the Hori drum, be aware that it is pretty loud. It isn't necesseraly loud by itself, but its poor "by default" sensitivity forces you to hit it pretty hard in order to avoid any missing hits. You can perfectly play it quite quietly if it is just for fun and if you are only trying to get the silver medal for the songs up to the normal/hard difficulty modes. But if you want to get the gold medal (which requires ZERO missed hits), you gonna have to hit it very hard! Even after doing the mod to increase its sensitivity, it is still not enough to be able to play without getting your neighbors (or your partner) crazy.
Not deserved at all... I bought it mainly for my 5 years old daughter. And even her, after playing the game like 3 times 30mn was getting bored and asking for more content. This game is a rip off in every way possible. Waiting a little more to see what "extra" content will be added before deciding to sell it for good. Really happy that I didn't go for the digital version or it would have been a pure loss.
@Impoh mmm... not totally agreeing here... There's some cheap games with quite good artistic direction. Also thinking about some games made by a single man that had stunning/unique visuals/styles like Dust: An elysian Tail or Braid. Temtem visual stype doesn't talk to me at all. Maybe it will for some but clearly, even with PS2 graphics, Pokemon games are way more appealing due to their unique style/instant charm.
I really want to give it a chance, but gosh the artistic direction is awful! It looks like a generic mobile phone game. The colors used as well are quite a pain for the eyes. It looks sad and generic AF. Better to wait for Pokemon, or give some Digimon games their chance.
As someone who played both rumoured Zelda's on Game Cube and Wii U, I have literally no interest in these games. Hoping for a real 3D Donkey Kong adventure game and a release date for Zelda BOTW 2. Also hoping for some third party great announcements. And secretly dreaming for a new Shining Force or Guardian Heroes...
Great news! Maybe time for a brand new real 3D Mario game! Also to get some sales! I think it is time to do a sale on this Famicom Detective Club game! Been out for a year and a half now and never was discounted yet! Starting to lose hope getting this digital only game for a reduced price after waiting so long...
Gn'G Resurrection on its hardest difficulty mode definitely is the hardest game on the Switch, hands down! I would aslo add the Taiko no Tasujin games. Getting the gold on all songs, especially in extreme mode for 5* and higher songs is almost impossible, even with the Hori drum! This require endless attempts and also to perfectly remember each songs and notes as they go way too fast for any human eyes. Dark Souls is a real piece of cake compared to that!
A 2022 release date for Zelda BOTW 2, coming DLC's for Pokemon Arceus, Guilty Gear Strive, a Street Fighter V Complete Edition, the addition of some Sega Saturn games in the Nintendo Online catalogue. Oh sweeeeet drreeeaaammmsss....
For the ones who ordered from the Nintendo Store in the UK who haven't received a dispatch notification yet, I have just been told during my chat with them that some dispatch will be done late tonight with tomorrow delivery still. Also, they said that the game might be delivered before receiving the dispatch notification as there is a huge volume of orders to deliver. Quite reinsuring.
Hi Guys, for the ones on the UK who ordered with the Nintendo Store, did anyone receive the dispatch notification today??? I haven't yet and contacted them by chat about an hour ago and they had no clue about when it would be dispatched. I did get a "normally today", which doesn't sounds good at all for a delivery that's supposed to happen tomorrow... Should have went with Currys after all.
It is now quite an adventure to get an Oled (in the UK). My initial AO.com order was delayed for 3 weeks just 2 days before release date so I decided to cancel it. Managed to get an Argos order which was cancelled minutes later. The same with Currys: wasn't able to process the payment after managing to add one in my cart. On Friday (release date): tried to get one to collect with Smyths: again, stock shown as available but impossible to process the payment. Then, tried my luck with Asda, 2 orders successfully processed cancelled about an hour later. I then tried my luck on Nintendo Store website, was out of stock, refreshed the page every 5mn, and finally was able to process the order around 5pm. Received it yesterday 11am, so about 18h later! I am literally impressed with Nintendo Store. Super fast delivery, able to track it from A to Z. Will definitely order with them again! I feel lucky as it is now almost impossible to get one anywhere in the UK. It is now pirates land with all the damn scalpers selling them for minimum 350£.
My previous and my current phone are both Oled and I always keep the auto brightness ON, even when playing games, what videos on Youtube and is it perfectly fine. I disable only to watch some animes, 2-3 episodes in a row max, and it is perfectly fine. It will be the same for the Switch Oled, unless you leave the screen auto brightness off for like at least 6h on the same scree, you'll all be fine.
I think the reviews should give 2 scores : one for the ones who already own a previous version of it and/or have another console (in that case the 2/10 is well deserved), and one for the ones who don't own any version of the previous games and/or don't have any other console (then a 6 or a 7/10 would be more appropriate IMO).
@beuiz As I never bought any of them on the Switch, I don't really mind paying 25-30£ for it as (I know it might infuriate some) the game worth it for this price. I need to play with the updated squads, stats and I don't want to spend ages in the options to update everything manually (I do miss the time when I was simply copying/pasting an option file in PES...). The Oled screen will make it a little less ugly than it is, and again, the gameplay is still pretty decent.
For someone who owns only a Switch and none of the previous Fifa on it, why not? It is the only "real" football game on the Switch, and with a pretty decent gameplay. Graphics are what they are, but at least running with a solid 60 fps. I really doubt you'd get more than 30 fps with a game looking close to even the Xbox One S version. I personally own a Switch and a One X. Have tried the One X version and it looks exactly the same than the free Fifa 21 on the gamepass, doesn't include the main new features, doesn't include any graphics improvements at all. I used to play PES until last year, no way I'll play this terrible EFootball sh*t, can't find a Series X, receiving my Switch Oled this week, I don't own any previous Switch versions of the game, and I'm not ready to pay 40-45£ for the One version of Fifa 22: so all things considered, I am seriously tempted to get it on my Switch! I've found the physical game for £27 and I think it will be worth it on the couch/bed handheld with the Oled screen! I'll still have Fifa 21, PES 21 on my gamepass when I'll want some more detailed graphics.
For hose living in the UK, I would recommend to pre order it from AO.com . I am surprised that it isn't mentioned at all on the retailers list as, not only it is sold for £309.00 instead of £309.99, but a £10 voucher can be used for your first order if you order £300 or more. If you already have an account with them, simply create a second account with a different email address, same post address and it works. You'll get it for £299.00 instead of £309.99 . I've purchased multiple fournitures from them and never had an issue. Great website.

The soundtrack is amazing! The gameplay really feels like a Zelda 2 gameplay with a metroidvania structure. Pretty good mix.

Looks great! Happy to have pre ordered it weeks ago. Was the review based on a version of the game without a day one patch or with it?
