Review Monster World IV (Wii Virtual Console / Mega Drive)
Worth the wait
Originally released in 1994, Monster World IV is the final game in the Wonder Boy series. It's a very well-liked game and another great entry in the franchise, but there was just one problem: it was never released outside Japan. Until now that is, because SEGA has finally given the rest of the world a chance to experience the game,...

Wow. It's been a long time since we heard anything about SEGA's Monster World IV coming to Europe, but it seems the project is still breathing if PEGI is anything to go by. Interestingly the game was rated for Xbox 360 several weeks ago, but now a rating for the Wii Virtual Console has hit the 'net: Monster World IV SEGA Europe LtdThe...

News Monster World IV Comes Westward, Finally
If the OFLC is to be believed
We've got almost every single Wonder Boy game ever made available on Virtual Console, including several double entries with different names. However, one game has been missing all this time. im getting really intrested in this for some reason, the way it looks, plus the fact its an import takes to my fancy, ive never played any of this series. must learn more
This game looks totally amazing. The vibrant colors and the art style remind me of DoReMi Fantasy on the SNES. And the original MD game has battery backed up memory + platforming and RPG elements. Yeah, this is exactly the kind of game that I like. I hope it comes to europe soon.
Wait, we're FINALLY getting MW IV AND fully localized? Ok, SEGA has my 900 Nintendo Points waiting!
Looks like Shantae
This looks pretty good.
Looking forward to this very much.
this game is the best one in the series hands down
this game will definitely take care of my retro craving nicely
Every time I look at the screenshots of this game, the more I find it harder to believe that it REALLY is apart of the Wonder Boy series. I mean look at the game, you control a character that looks to me like a female genie instead of the kid with the blonde hair. I'm still looking forward to seeing how this game plays out tomorrow. Also, besides the fact that it's a Japanese import game that's making it's first appearance on Wii VC makes it all the more interesting.
I just bought the game... and it's amazing!
A game very well designed...
It's so nice to see how well Wonder Boy evolved
I was going to get this then I read it is coming out on the PS3 and 360 with two other Monster World games with it.
This game is fantastic. This series is really underrated.
I was expecting the worst when I got this game, thinking it was maybe nothing more than an over hyped Japanese game. Boy was I wrong. Even though it started out easier than expected, it soon became a joy to play and I don't regret my decision at all. A real gem.
It took forever for this game to come out here. Is it gonna take forever to get a review?
what an ugly-looking game
@H_Hunter You posted that on the virtual console topic about this as well, and I have no idea what your motive is. Especially because you can't elaborate.
