They've been able to add that detail probably since the SNES. They certainly could have had animation that good by the time they were churning out a million NSMB games. I'm not entirely convinced they couldn't do it on the NES!
How could anything expressive possibly have been influenced by the soulless husk of Illumination. Why would anyone even think to ask that? Princess Peach's redesign on the other hand...
@5th313ment Most games are still all on the cart, thankfully. I mean jesus, when even rockstar put all of RDR on the cart, you know you are a scumbag company when you cheap out
@Guitario If memory is getting cheaper, they should be able to get a bigger cart. They're the ones missing out anyway, since they are losing sales, so they'd better get used to that. Maybe I'm underestimating the number of muppets lining up to pay more for less.
Not a chance. If I'm 100% honest, I'd be kind of relieved with an all digital Switch 2 so I can sit out the generation. I need time (and money) to catch up on my Switch collection. I'm lucky Microsoft and Sony have done absolutely nothing to make me want their systems.
@ralphdibny it doesn't have an NFC reader. I think it has rumble but not HD rumble? How you can review switch controller without mentioning those is utterly beyond me, but this is Alex we're talking about
Oh, I thought it was going to be a period piece set in the 90s. That would have been really interesting to watch, to see the early days of its popularity. Since Pokémon started in Japan and then went to America before arriving in the UK, it was pretty much a giant phenomenon before it even got here, with the game appearing at the same time as the cards, the anime, and a whole skip full of merch. Would have been cool to see how Japanese people reacted to it sight unseen, how word of mouth spread etc. Not really interested in seeing some 20 year old hipster playing a Game Boy Pocket in 2023
I'll be annoyed if we don't get some of the PS1 squaresoft games that are conspicuous by their absence, given the ones we did get. Where's SaGa Frontier 2, FF Tactics, Xenogears, Vagrant Story etc.
Well it's obvious why it took 6 years. This is going to put TotK to shame with its epic scope, groundbreaking graphics, and revolutionary physics engine.
@Stamina_Wheel you are being pedantic. Everyone here knows bloom was overused in the 7th generation. I don't see what you hope to gain by pretending not to understand what I meant. It's like saying yo-yos weren't a 90s fad because you can still buy yo-yos today.
Obviously the original look. Bloom was a fad, and one that nintendo was characteristically late to. It looks like absolute trash and was especially egregious in WW, where it washed out the colourful art that was the game's whole appeal in the first place. I was very happy to see it die a well deserved death, but apparently ruining every game for an entire generation wasn't enough because it seems to be back with a vengeance in every HD2D game. Yaaaaay.
@TotalHenshin maybe at the time, but since then we've had much closer clones of SotN like Bloodstained and Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. Timespinner now seems hugely original by comparison
@Giancarlothomaz pretty sure we'll see them next year. It's the death throes of the switch and we are already seeing a lot of simple 2d games and remasters while all their big stuff gets saved for switch 2. Next year is clear of original Zelda stuff. The real question for me has always been how they will fit the two remasters into the same schedule as the two oracle remakes, given the limited time they have left, especially since I cannot see modern Nintendo releasing both oracles at the same time. I thought oracle remakes were an absolute no brainer given the engine and most assets were already made for link's awakening. But looking at grezzo's release history since then, it seems like they have been kept busy and I can't see when oracles could have been developed...
I don't see what changed, since you were obviously playing "at your own pace" in the first place. 25 hours in a few weeks? That would be very little playtime even for a casual gamer, nevermind someone whose whole job is playing the switch. I also have no idea what dungeon you're talking about, and apparently nobody else does either. You can only do this when there is a consensus on which dungeon is terrible, like the Water Temple in OoT (even if everyone is wrong about it).

I would have assumed it was a cross over with another game design channel, not just any gaming youtuber, so my guess is GMTK

Only one fatal flaw? Um how about the price? It's somehow more expensive than pretty much every other option I can think of.

Re: Feature: "We Wouldn’t Give The Silent Hill IP To A Team Like Yours" - Dementium: The Ward's Origins And Switch Return
The dude can barely get a simple 2D game out the door. Konami have made a ton of mistakes, specifically with Silent Hill, but this wasn't one of them.
