Re: Review: Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Wii U)

Seems like it started development at the start of the year, if not later than that. They'll most likely push it out then pretend it never existed because it was most likely just something to fill space Zelda U (and now Star Fox Zero) created. Which is sad, because even if NX doesn't come out next year there's no way the Wii U will get another shot at a Mario Tennis game besides re-releases, and there's almost no way DLC will come out for the game (but I'd love to be proven wrong).

Considering it is the first of what is already an established franchise with a sequel in Japan that I'm sure deals with all of the flaws found, this looks like a great game!

@rjejr @xenocity I feel it's all down to their decision to have it based on amiibo and the fact they've locked up two amiibo (although I'm not sure what the deal with Digby is, the wording is strange in my opinion) in the game at retail (which they have also done in Europe, but apparently they're also being sold separately here in Europe, so I presume the game will also be sold individually here too... That's something I'd like clarification on, actually, if there hasn't been already, Nintendo!)
They want to sell the amiibo - having it be a free download with you only buying one amiibo and a pack of amiibo cards being done with it isn't what they want. They don't want you potentially missing out on that "amazing" deal of amiibo Festival, and more importantly those two amiibo, for a whopping $60 - well they can't let you miss out on that, now can they?

I highly doubt Yo-kai Watch will be as popular as Pokemon, but that advert was amusing, although incredibly strange (but Cheeksqueek, really, that's the name they went with?!), and it certainly looks like a good game.

Toadette... eh, the game doesn't bother me, and Toadette less so. I don't dislike her, I certainly prefer her to the generic Toad character. She's way better.

@ThomasBW84 Great, that's fantastic. It's actually better to have a score and a little phrase, like what's been added, as it doesn't confuse people and helps them know exactly what your score means. It also helps if they actually bother to read the review.
