Re: Fan-Made Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Lego Set Builds Up Support

On thing that bugs me is that Nintendo releases very few toys based on their products. The ones they do release are usually stuffed animals and retro "gear".

For example, my four year old son fell in love with the Guardians of BOTW. He calls them "walking-turning bad guys". He wanted a toy guardian for his birthday but Nintendo makes nothing except for the Amiibo. Of course that Amiibo is sold out everywhere in the US and I had to pay a scalper double the cost just to get it. Also, it has that plastic disc on the bottom. Now, my son LOVES that guardian and totes it around everywhere. Why doesn't Nintendo release real action figures? I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

You guys complain too much. I'm still playing BOTW. 200 hours into it and I've just now finished the Divine Beasts. I'm currently exploring areas I've missed. Then I'll finish all side quests, I'll collect all korok seeds (or poo), and do a speed run. whew Maybe I'll buy another game a couple years from now.

BUT VIRUAL CONSOLE WOULD TICKLE MY GIBLETS

Re: Party Golf All Set To Tee Off On The Nintendo Switch

We're only four weeks into the Switch's life cycle. Given the track record with Nintendo consoles, big 3rd party publishers have a right to be skiddish. I'm giving it until E3. If there are no major AAA 1st and 3rd party game announcements at E3 (and I don't mean rehashed Wii U ports) and/or no Virtual Console, then I'll have some problems.

However, if the Nintendo Switch is selling as well as we think it is, 3rd parties will be there. That's the rule. They go where the money is. They ported all the Call of Duty games to the Wii for goodness sake.

Re: Video: How To Completely Avoid Scratching Your Nintendo Switch's Screen When Docking

Haven't we had this conversation already? I docked mine a hundred times with no issues. I think the few who have scratched them (with less and less coming out every day) did so by being careless or by having a faulty dock (i.e. warped due to manufature or shipping). This is turning into a witchhunt.

If you're all that paranoid about your dock scratching your screen then get a screen protector. I do have a tempered glass screen protector on mine but only because I like the feel of glass and an oleophobic coating. It makes the touch experience so much better. But I just got it two days ago so I've been docking it without one.

Also, if the dock has damaged your Switch, don't go blasting it on the internet. We can't help you. We can't replace, fix, or otherwise do anything to your Switch. All we can do is soak in the drama of this "horrible oversight of devastating proportions". Contact Nintendo.

And Nintendo Life: Why are you still doing stories on this?

Re: Video: See Sonic Forces At Its Best in Official Gameplay Footage

Looks like absolute crap. The same old game over and over again. Why does sonic have to be on some racetrack? Also, why does Sonic have to hit "boosters" to go faster? Those weren't in the 2D games. Why can't you make a free-roaming sonic game with physics-based movement, Sega? Oh wait...your fans did it for you with Sonic Utopia. You even had to get your fans to make a new 2D Sonic with Sonic Mania. When the fans are making better games than the actual multi-million dollar studio there's a problem.

Re: Protect Your Nintendo Switch's Screen With These Fetching Dock Covers

Been docking and undocking a hundred times since launch. I've had no scratches at all on my screen. My guess is people aren't taking the care to dock it properly and are instead just throwing it in with reckless abandon.

That said, I did order an anShield tempered glass screen protector. Only because I like the feel of glass and it has an oleophobic coating like phones making for a smooth touch experience (The plastic screen is a bit grippy).
