Re: Video: Project CARS Halloween Trailer Shows Off Weather Effects

Diz93

@FritzFrapp Well when Nintendo showed us Mario Kart 8 we all knew it was gameplay even tho it rarely showed any actual "behind the wheel" type of gameplay. It was mostly all theater mode. So whats wrong with showing this game in the same way. They just wanted to remind us that this is the actual game engine running and not a pre-rendered video.

Re: Watch Dogs Wii U Release Dates Confirmed

Diz93

This was my most anticipated game of the year, so idk whether I should save my cash for Smash or for this. Luckily I have 2 friends that are for sure getting smash, so I could just play theirs.

Re: Feature: We Put Bayonetta 2's Nintendo Outfits to the Test

Diz93

@MrGawain You make a lot of good points, and I can see the whole tongue in cheek humor thing. Your right samus was stripped down and has had a good amount of sexualization, but it's always been a minor part of the game. Usually just the death sequence or a cut scene here and there. I guess what really bugs me about some of these costumes is that shes running with her ass in the air and you can see it full on with nothing to hide. I feel like Im watching soft hentai with these videos. Idk just not something I like.

Re: Talking Point: Horror and Metroid Could be a Perfect Fit

Diz93

I actually kind of like this idea. I just started playing Prime 2 again and I forgot how dark and gritty it was. Especially when you read the GF troopers logs about the others going insane and turning on each other. What they would have to get right is actually scaring people. Dead Space, IMO, did it wrong in a horror aspect. Things are creepy sure, but as soon as you realize how much of a badd ass you are, nothing is scary anymore and that could be a big issue if Metroid went horror. F.E.A.R. on the other hand combined shooters and horror perfectly. That game goes from making you feel like a total bad ass mowing down the enemies in the a gun fight, to feeling helpless and running for your life whenever Alma came around. If Metroid did that, the horror elements could be very successful. Or maybe if they did a spin off game that didnt feature Samus as the main character, but maybe a GF trooper. That could be really cool.

Re: 3DS Release Added to Cult County's Core Kickstarter Target

Diz93

Its great that 3DS owners get this and all, but now theyll have to develop with the 3DS in mind, and Im a little afraid that it will degrade the Wii U version. "Oh we cant have that in the game because the 3DS wouldnt be able to run that" (for ex.) I mean that was the whole reason for ditching it in the first place. Hopefully Im wrong and it wont effect the Wii U version at all, and whether it reaches its target goal, I hope it still finds a way onto our devices.

Re: Renegade Kid's New 3DS FPS Is Moon Chronicles

Diz93

I bought the first one because it was suppose to be really good, but honestly, i thought it got kinda boring. Lots of long green tinted corridors that all look the same. Maybe if it had more exploration it would be better.

Re: Satoru Iwata Outlines Wii U Holiday Target Audience and Aim for a "Unique Approach"

Diz93

Nintendo, you're already doing something completely different. The Wii U is obviously different, but you gave us that Pro Controller for a reason. I understand we want to sell to families, there is nothing wrong with that, but what about your loyal fans that keep buying your products over and over in hope of you releasing something that captivates their interests. I am the only one that plays video games in my family, I am also in college, I don't want to brag to my friends that I have a game made to play with Mom and Dad. Where are the creative minds that made Metroid, Starfox, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, F-Zero, and so many of your "Highly Skilled" player franchises. Where are the engaging stories that make me want to play non-stop until I finish the game...

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Talks Mobile Strategy for Nintendo

Diz93

@D3athBr1ng3r187 Did you even read the article? Nintendo clearly stated that there intention would be to get people to buy or get back to their hardware. Therefore, they are not going the take the mobile route. They are sticking with Handhelds and Consoles

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Talks Mobile Strategy for Nintendo

Diz93

A Miiverse App would be nice of course, but it would also be cool for them to have a Nintendo Direct app or something that kept fans up-to-date on any news they have for us. Nintendo really just needs to step up their marketing campaign. Badly

Re: Eiji Aonuma Explains Why The Legend of Zelda Isn't a Yearly Franchise

Diz93

I don't want it to be a yearly release, but it would be nice if they picked up the pace just a little bit. Maybe a game every 3 or 4 years at the most? That could help with hardware sales too. The wonderful thing about Nintendo is that they take their time to create a perfect game, but it's so hard to be patient for so long.

Re: Weirdness: Here's a Team Fortress 2 Star Fox Deathmatch Mod

Diz93

@GuSilverFlame I know that Mario sells and people like the plumber, but I feel like Nintendo is giving themselves the "family friendly console" title that they had with the original Wii. It's hard to justify getting a Wii U simply for Mario games. I struggle to give my friends reasons to buy a Wii U (even though I prefer any 3rd party title on Wii U). I know Wind Waker just came out, but thats only good for people like me that never played the orginal, or you are so in love with the game that you will spend the money on the game a second time. Nintendo can easily wow more people if they would start developing more titles that grab the attention of more than just casual gamers. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Nintendo needs Bad Donkey looking games. That may be a Dude-Bro mentality, but those types of Action games sell and raise a lot of hype for consoles.

Re: Miyamoto: Retro Studios is High on The List of Candidates For A New Metroid Game

Diz93

I loved Other M, more so than the Prime series, but the Wii U needs another Metroid by Retro, badly. It was much more "American" I guess you would say, and that will help convince players to buy a Wii U. And although I loved the art style of Other M, I really want to see a dark and beautiful planet in full HD, preferably in first person. I just hope they find a way to speed up the gameplay. I know prime 3 was pretty fast, but its nothing compared to the speedy powerhouse that is Samus.

Re: Review: Sniper Elite V2 (Wii U)

Diz93

Planned on picking this up day 1 and apparently there were shipping issues and no one had it. Even Amazon wasn't shipping right away. My friend finally found a copy while on a trip and picked it up for me. I wanted to support the 3rd parties, but I'm really pissed that the game was this stripped. So far I love the gameplay. The storytelling is pretty horrid, but the sniping never gets old. Extremely sad that theres no co op to play with my friends. Id say its worth $30, but not $60

Re: Media Outlets List Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U

Diz93

@SkywardLink98 I think a major reason for it not selling well was because of a few different reasons.
1) They had it for Xbox or PS3
2) Their friends were getting it for Xbox or PS3
3) It's a new console and not a lot of people have it.
Ghosts will sell better if it gets support like the other consoles do, but sadly it probably won't...

Re: Shin'en Multimedia Defends The Wii U Hardware

Diz93

@AMR Other M is one of my favorite Metroid games. I've been playing Metroid games for as long as I can remember and Other M was great; currently playing it again. I even liked it more than the Prime games. But your right, the visuals are pretty amazing for a Wii title.
