I kinda finished the game 100% and I'm playing it in hardcore mode now. My guess is that it's more to give exposure to the game after some website made a trolling review of it. Cox said the game was 18 hours long, IGN said 6, I'm at 18 and counting: who is a gamer supposed to believe?
@Shiryu Dude, I'm sorry, I can't stop praising, but I'll have to after this comment. I saw my childhood flashing before my eyes, it was just hysterical... :3 :3 :3
(I really made a wise decision of waiting till summer to buy Awakening, else I would flunk my upcoming final exams...) :/
Hell, I swear to God, if Awakening gets the mainstream all around the world, them folks over there at Nintendo and Intelligent Systems should make a worldwide Fire Emblem concert in 2015 to celebrate the series' 25 years in the making. You heard it here first.
HELL YEAH!!! Why haven't I seen this as an article on NintendoLife?? This is the ad with which they should advertise Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut on the Wii U!!!
I... just don't understand what is happening in here... When even the biggest Nintendo website in the world is spelling doom from its own free will, I think it's time to stick to Miiverse.
I will get it eventually. Yet I'm honestly starting to feel that we're having too many games on our Wii Us. It's definitely nothing bad, but it'd be nice if others could notice it before it become obvious.
I just finished the game 100% and needed to give it a shout out. The combat is awesome, the 3D graphics are surreal, the music is profound. A really great experience. Now on to that Hardcore Mode.
Imma need to boot that Arkham City copy I just received for my Wii U to judge, but I'm quite sure I'm already convinced. However I'd like to leave the 2.5D to Mirror of Fate because I doubt anybody can reach so easily what I consider to be the most beautiful game on the 3DS by far. What's more, the portable game being crossplatform, obviously they won't have the same dedication to Nintendo's platform that MercurySteam had with the 3DS exclusive.
(But I'd like them to prove me wrong...)
@k8sMum I think that's how it truly is. They want us to download those games, and since the option is there, why bother with stock...
What am I saying: Shibata says so himself in part 3 of his apology!!!
But then, quite frankly, I believe if a gamer is so eager to play at launch, he should do so by downloading at midnight. Now that's rather harsh for the Wii U since you won't find 2TB drives for less than 100 bucks, but for the 3DS, seriously, a 32GB is less than 30 bucks and is more than enough. Sorry to say this but, time to get on with the times, if complaint needs be.
@idork99 Your point makes me understand why Nintendo games manage to keep their prices — and revenue — high longer than AAAs that end up being half-priced after half a year.
I'm actually starting to believe the same thing. I'm quite sure Nintendo is holding back the Wii U right now, and I would suspect the drought was planned in advance for the real games to launch alongside the next Xbox and the PS4...
Nintendo has some serious issues with retailers, actually some serious issues with everyone they're working with, as long as they are not financing them. When you even prevent your customers from giving you their money, something is clearly not right.
Wait... Are there still midnight launches for games? I'm quite sure those expecting them so much at midnight would just download them. Why bother getting dressed and going out so late?
@astroshamu Exactly. No later than yesterday I played Most Wanted U on the GamePad with my WiiWheel, while my brother and a friend of his were watching TV. The day before I invited a few friends and we had a blast on Nintendo Land, NSMBU, and they were in shock seing Need For Speed on the Wii U. My 350 bucks have always been worth it.
@Slapshot Sure. We'll see about that once Nintendo releases their games and you among other people will finally buy a Wii U. So far we're just down to speculation.
"While delays are always slightly annoying, in this case we have to admit we're slightly relieved; with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon already available and the sublime Fire Emblem: Awakening hitting European stores on April 19th, the 3DS is hardly short on titles at the moment. Had Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training launched on the 12th, there's a danger that it could have gotten lost in the crush."
@ThomasBW84 I appreciate your response. Whether it's EA or Activision or Ubisoft isn't actually quite of a concern for me. I just sincerely believe that Nintendo should not court third-parties, Western third-parties. Nintendo just doesn't know at that time how to court them: as an example, it has already backfired with EA. It is therefore best that Nintendo focus their assets on making their own games and working with Japanese third-party developers, which they are already doing. When it comes to Western third-parties, they can only rely on the few hopeful developers such as Criterion Games and Eidos Montreal, and wait for the big guys to seriously consider the Wii U once the console has picked up in sales and they see an interest in it.
Nintendo doesn't NEED EA or any third-party per se. They'll just come when they'll see an interest in the Wii U, thanks to Nintendo's first-party titles and Nintendo-financed third-party exclusives.
HELL NO. F*** NO. We don't be no h*** at Nintendo, anybody willing to crawl at EA's feet can do so on their own and should not encourage Nintendo fans to do the same.
That was my honest and humble opinion. Feel free to edit it.
This is an outrage. You can't make a Mewtwo better than Mewtwo. Now, not only the first Pokémon movie doesn't make sense anymore, but even the first Pokémon games are lacking the respect they deserve.
This is wrong. This is just wrong. (Folks, don't take my rant seriously, it's just my childhood that feels lied to.)
Are we still on that Rayman?? Aren't we already on to bigger and better things such as Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Watch_Dogs?? And possibly also Splinter Cell Blacklist??
"Or the story behind a raid to kill the world's most notorious terrorist? Okay, we could probably do an okay job of that last one, though probably not the events leading up to it - do you water board that guy or not? Seriously? But you get my point."
I'm ashamed this acclaimed game designer hasn't played the campaign of Black Ops II. As for his other examples, he probably hasn't played any JRPGs. Just saying.
These Japanese executives (both Satoru's) can't stop apologizing for the mistakes they make. The day we'll see a sincere apology from a Western executive is a long way to go.
@P184 On that point 3 that would be great especially in Smash where we can save game videos. They should make it so we can post our own Smash video from the Smash servers to Miiverse for all to enjoy those Falcon Punches.
@Five-seveN I think they should make it to 300, but they should do so by segmenting comments that are 300 characters long into 3 comments one after the other. Like: bla bla bla (100) = comment 1 bla bla bla (100) = comment 2 bla bla bla (100) = comment 3 I don't really know how to explain it better out of the blue, but that's my idea.

@LordJumpMad How do you do the little font?
Re: Rumour: Dr Kawashima's 3DS Prescription Delayed Until September In Europe

It's the name of the game. They should just give it the American name.

But yeah, a friend of mine came by (again) being skeptical about the Wii U, tried the Internet browser and was already in need for the console.
