Re: Review: Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)

@gojiguy I agree. I've been anticipating this game for a week. Since then, I noticed that PSN had their port of this game on sale (Vita/PS4 cross buy). I bought it, fully knowing that I was still going to get the Switch version. I just couldn't wait. While both ports have their pros and cons (when compared to the other), I think that the Playstation port proves that enhancing an older title with online support is VERY possible to execute successfully. Nintendo could stand to learn a valuable lesson. All these ports of great fighting games, and no online multiplayer lessens sales

Hey everyone, not trolling here, but I just wanted to let all of you know that I'm a part of this group on facebook called the 3DS Village. It's just a group of and for gamers where we talk about things Nintendo. It's kind of like what we're doing here, just more personable. Check us out https://www.facebook.com/groups/3DSVillage/

@Bass_X0 I never said or mentioned anything about history. I merely expressed an obvious hyperbole to convey my feelings about the lack of titles in the 3DS eShop that appeal to me personally. And the person I believe you attempted to reference was the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., not "Martin Luthor King."

@element187 I understand the premise for the incentive, but I don't want a Wii U, and I refuse to buy one for the sole purpose of playing Virtual Console games. I think that the eShop should be universal, allowing the content to be shared amongst both platforms being that the 3DS is more than capable of running the software.

BUY THIS GAME!!! I had this as a kid and it was one of my favorite titles, along with Sonic and Streets of Rage. I already have all of these on the PS3 Genesis collection and on my iPad, but I don't mind repurchasing them. The 3D effect is amazing. It brings a whole new perspective to the games. Never tried Ecco The Dolphin though, maybe I'll finally give that a shot...been contemplating that one since the 90s Lol

Re: Feature: Our Top 10 3DS Games - Summer 2013

DanielHPoetry

RE: Revelations is my #1 favorite title on the system. I HATE Starfox64. It was too underwhelming and lack luster. I think Super Mario 3d Land is also overhyped. My top 10, in no particular order (with the exception of RE: Revelations) is:

1. Resident Evil: Revelations
2. Fire Emblem: Awakening
3. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
4. Metal Gear Solid 3D
5. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
6. Dead or Alive Dimensions
7. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D
8. Heroes of Ruin
9. Mario Kart 7
10. WWE All Stars

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Release Date and 3DS Systems Confirmed for Japan

That black 3DS is dope. Personally though, Capcom can take their time with bringing MH4 to the States. I am excited about the online gameplay, but I JUST bought MH3U last night! Still gonna hold off on playing it tho. I got a couple games on my backlog I gotta get through and I hear this one is life consuming. I recently had to force myself to finish Fire Emblem a few weeks ago and if it's anything like that, I'm in trouble. I got over 100 hours in that freaking game...

Re: Hardware Classics: Nintendo Virtual Boy

DanielHPoetry

I WISH I still I had my Virtual Boy! I first got mine Christmas of '95. I loved that system. I've never experienced headaches or any other negative side effect from using it. Red Alarm was my favorite game, followed by Mario Tennis and TeleroBoxer

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Localizers Talk Shop

@Stumpweasel to be honest, that sounds absolutely boring in my opinion. But, at the same time, I think the simplistic gameplay is brilliant. The way this game has also captivated so many people also says a lot. I'm considering the purchase, but I'm still very much so on the fence about it. I'll try the demo, if released, and make a decision from there. Maybe I might get addicted myself, who knows?! Thanks for the info. It was helpful

Re: Review: Star Fox 64 3D (3DS)

DanielHPoetry

I HATE THIS GAME! I've never played a Star Fox title and picked this up at launch because everyone was raving about it and it was a chance to try something new. To my dismay, my experience was totally anti-climactic and lack luster. Yea, ok, the graphics are nice and sharp, but I WAS DONE WITH THIS GAME IN LESS THAN 3 HOURS, WTHeck! And why isn't there any online gameplay??? I was thoroughly disappointed all the way around. The levels are short and rushed, the boss fights aren't challenging, and there's hardly anything added extra in comparison to the original Star Fox 64. I've honestly had way more fun, and a greater jovial experience playing Red Alarm for Nintendo Virtual Boy. #FAIL

Re: Review: Spider-Man: Edge of Time (3DS)

DanielHPoetry

@Phle I agree that this game is good for Spider-Man fans, but I don't think that makes this a "good game." I was really excited about is title because I heard such great things from other gamers, but this was a let down for me. I think this game is mediocre at best. True, this version does have better graphics than the Wii, an interesting story, and a couple of good boss battles, but there's also TONS of repetition and I've experienced technical problems such as slow down and frame rate issues. I found this on sale for $20 and I think I paid too much for it. I think it deserves the 5. That's my opinion

I've never played one of these games and honestly don't know what all the hype is about. I hate to sound like a noob, but I'm just being real. I was told its a great series/ franchise but what the heck do you actually DO in these games. Someone please help me understand.
