The breaking of tools is such an annoying mechanic of this game. They are fundamental to progress yet break and need replacing daily. After a recent day of heavy playing I went through 4 fishing poles, 3 shovels and 3 axes! One day! That is most definitely too much. Animal Crossing is a game I usually play daily for 2 years or more. The thought that I will be crafting at these levels on a daily basis for much of that time is daunting and frustrating. Can’t regular strength tools last a day or two? Now finding out that even the golden tools break I’m really annoyed. Honestly, the way the game handles the breaking of tools is my one big annoyance with the game. Unfortunately it’s an annoyance that one has to deal with on a daily basis.
I have never used voice chat in a video game and I have no interest in starting now. That said, this solution looks real wonky. Especially for when playing Switch as a handheld system. Voice chat needs to be built in to be a viable service/feature.
The online aspects being on the app makes a ton of sense to me and I'm looking forward to see how well it works with Splatoon 2 as well as other games. I like the idea of peeking into the game world on the go while you may not have Switch with you.
I purchased the DLC Pack but when I checked my Switch before heading to work the Pack 1 elements hadn't downloaded. Is there something I have to do to make it download?
I love the Cooking Mama series and still play every now and then. This new one looks fun since there is a big focus on displaying and selling your treats. Should be a lot of fun! It's games like Cooking Mama that I wish we'd see more of on 3DS and Nintendo systems in general. I miss the days when developers were trying all kinds of new types of games with the system. Really glad to see that Cooking Mama is one that has continued to grow and stay relevant. Go Mama!
I don't understand why those who want to have conversations with people don't just Direct Message them. Why let the rest of the community in on your private conversations? It's a bit funny people are complaining to much and the changes haven't been implemented yet. Maybe judgements should be held off until we've gotten the time to use and play with the update and really understand what the differences are.
I'll be honest. I don't care at all about AAA third party games appearing on Nintendo game systems. The one's I have played are just not my style. I love how Nintendo forges their own path, innovating interaction, game goals, and concepts while keeping things bright, cheerful and above all fun. No other designer does this to the quality and consistency of Nintendo.
I want NX to push the envelope and open new gaming possibilities, not just bump up CPU's and horsepower.
Nintendo has promised to show NX in 2016 but I suspect it won't be released until mid or end of year 2017. Dev kits aren't even out yet and the rumors are we're just one year from release. That's not happening. I'm curious and optimistic but with nothing really to go on at this point I'm not hyped.
I'm not very interested in this game at all. I've never enjoyed a build-it-yourself type game yet. Not only do I not care for building my own levels but I generally dislike the user created levels I've played. It may be old fashioned but I prefer my levels made by experienced professionals.
It's awesome to see a feature on the San Diego StreetPass group! I attend the Los Angeles miitups. They just celebrated their fourth anniversary too. It's great to see other 3DS gamers regularly, catch up, play games and such. If you have a 3DS you should definitely look up your local StreetPass group.
This morning I was able to log on to Club Nintendo and claim my free download. However, the site froze before it displayed the download code. Since then I haven't been able to log in. I sure hope I'm still able to download the game later.
Nintendo really needs to work on making their sites more accessible during high traffic times. It's highly frustrating. Especially when users miss out on things due to the site crashing.
Labels are better than numbers for reviewing games. Number scores only cause flame wars over a game getting a 7.5 when it "really deserved" an 8.5. In that case, either score means the game is recommended and a worthy purchase. "Vital" "Recommended" and "Avoid" are much more helpful than meaningless numbers.
It's a crying shame that A Boy and His Blob didn't make your list. Easily one of my favorite Wii games. I'd also add The Munchables and Deadly Creatures.

Re: Feature: 20 Wii Games We'd Love To Download From The Wii U eShop - Part Two
@ryan3ds I'd suggest getting the bundle with the disc so you'll have plenty of HD space for eShop exclusives and Virtual Console releases.
